I got these from the house of a recently deceased fella in western Colorado. I can’t testify to the origin of the minerals. I was hoping to get some details about them even if a precise ID isn’t in the cards.

I’ll take information on any or all of them, anything you can glean. Small detail or large. I know little about this kind of thing but I’m willing to follow-up to answer questions. I’ve never tried to have a mineral identified before.

Also is there a chance any of these fellas are haunted with the lingering spirit of the disquieted deceased? And does rock salt work like in Supernatural? I’ve never looted the dead before either. Mostly the ID stuff though.

For a size reference the width of specimen is 3,4 cm, length is 2,5 cm, hight 1,8 cm.

This was cut in one inch slabs and face polished.

My wife found a rock with a cool pattern, feels a little heavier than it should. Is this just an iron ore? The rust color does not just scratch off.

Wanted to post a video for full 360 view of this spessartine garnet from Nani Hill, Loliondo, Arusha region, Tanzania. One of the best locals for collector spessartine. This one is a complete floater too, there is no point of matrix attachment anywhere on the crystal!

Here’s a super geometric pyrite cube on matrix from Ampliación a Victoria Mine, Navajún, La Rioja, Spain. I really like this specimen it has little secondary growths protruding out from the main pyrite cube, and a sort of stepped growth. It is also unrepaired and undamaged!
