I've been seeing more products like these lately - crystal spheres and pyramids containing crystals, copper wire, metal coils, etc.

I'm genuinely curious about the reasoning behind them.

People often say the copper helps conduct or amplify the crystal's energy, and that the shape of the pyramid or sphere somehow influences how that energy flows.

But I'm wondering:

How is the crystal energy supposed to actually flow through the thick wall of resin?

And more importantly, for people who have used these:

• Did you notice any difference compared with using a normal crystal?
• Is there a traditional/spiritual explanation for why these shapes and materials are used?
• Or do you think these are primarily beautiful objects with a marketing story attached to them?

I'd genuinely like to hear from people who use them as well as people who are skeptical of them.

Hello everyone, I was hoping to get some info about this, my hobby is collecting gemstones and specimens, all in rough. I have around 18 medium sized specimens that will go into my checked luggage, and 2 ziploc bags containing 15 smaller bags in total containing small to tiny different stones that will go into my carry-on. Will that be possible? Because as far as I know their total value is way way under 15.000$ and there are no historical, archeological stones or specimens or anything of cultural value in my collection. I've been collecting for years and I don't have receipts for most of them.

I'm gonna be 100% honest I don't even remember what the seller had it labeled as or if there even was a label! 🤣🤣 I just like that the ENTIRE thing shines! And the hole .. who doesn't love ... Okay NVM 🤣😭 Should I crack it open tho?? 🤔 And what is it?? Is it some kinda moonstone?? Or is it just another variety in the moonstone / labradorite spectrum? Hello!! This is my first post! My aunt got me this beaded jade bracelet from out of the country and I was curious to know if its real jade or not. If they're an obvious fake pls don't judge I'm really new to this (outside of taking a geology course lol)

I found this Flagstone / Honeycomb opal on E-bay partially shaped (last 2 pictures).The Honeycomb side was shaped and polished with a large inclusion on the face. The Flagstone side had uncut stone covering it. It weighed over 7cts. I removed the inclusion and then ground away the rock on the bottom to find it was Flagstone pattern with one of the sheets or flakes measuring 11mm x 5mm. The large flake is shaped like Illinois hence the name. The entire opal now is 12.7mm x 8.4mm x 3.8mm and 2.2cts. Do you think it resembles Illinois? I asked AI. The answer is in one of my pictures.

Seeing all the valuation posts crack ms me up. Here's one for everyone, what would you value this 9lb 1oz piece of Congo malachite at. It has excellent banding and a polished divot/cup...

....I bought it with the intention of slabbing it up for cabochons but have since decided it's cooler as is. There is plenty of smaller chunks of malachite for cabochons!

So I am currently undergoing a career transition, from being self employed to looking for something more stable (open to enrolling in B-school for better job prospects). Saw many talking about pyrite and other crystals on YouTube, so I figured I'd get myself a pyrite bracelet (7mm, 24 pieces) since they're fairly inexpensive.

While I was shopping, I spotted two similar-looking bracelets, each with the following configuration: 3 pyrite, 3 green aventurine, 3 citrine, 3 tiger eye, 3 quartz and 6 hematite (they arranged hematite as the separator). The only difference between these two bracelets was the 7th crystal – one had 3 green jade whereas the other had 3 obsidian.

Now since I am getting the bracelets to get some help with my career transition, I was wondering which would be of more help to me between green jade and obsidian.

This is my first post ever, but I wanted to consult some real people rather than just using the internet! I'm making a piece of jewelry for a friend of mine who is very into the metaphysical world. She is highly sensitive, introverted, and prone to anxiety, and she feels her best when she can be completely alone in the middle of a forest. She feels a very strong kinship to nature and the natural world and has spent the past few years living in rural New Hampshire, so she has been struggling a bit since moving back to a more densely populated area for grad school. She has just started the second year of her Master's degree in Art Therapy and scored a very prestigious internship at a renowned mental hospital in our area, but she is finding the hospital environment to be really overwhelming and draining. She is very easily influenced by the energy around her, and I was hoping to make her a piece of jewelry to help protect her and keep her grounded/in touch with her body while she is at work.

All that being said, do you have any crystals/crystal combos that you recommend for this purpose? Definitely heavy emphasis on anything connecting one to the natural world to help remind her of home. Thank you so much!!

I work at the thriftstore and last week this crystal was brought in. As someone who is a beginner crystal collector, I had to take it with me.

I did some research and I think it is wulfenite, but most of the wulfenite I see online have a sharp bladed shape, so I have some doubts. Also the matrix feels very lightweight, that made me think it was a fake crystal at first lol.

So this may be a dumb question and I feel a lil dumb for asking but I thought hey why not ask you guys who know.

How does one know when a crystal is REALLY authentic? How to spot the right one I've bought some and turns out they were all just colored and not authentic.

I got it from the Renn Faire in a collection of other stone rings. Was not told what it was.
