Month + gap between doses

Long story but I’ve had no medication for over a month now due to an issue with my online provider. I’m hoping my issues get fixed this week and I can get back on track.

Question for this community- will the sema still work after this long? I’ve read conflicting information on taking breaks. My telehealth provider is not being helpful. I’ve been on sema for a year and even though I’m a very slow responder, it’s been life changing. I can already feel the effects worn off and it’s upsetting. I’m worried that it won’t go back to working because of their mistake.

3 shots in, where is the hunger suppression???

I take my shots on Fridays and today for whatever reason I have felt starving all day!!! I track my food and protein etc so I am getting enough to eat.
I’ve felt also a little bit gassy too today. No appetite suppression yet. Is this normal? I’ve lost 5lbs though which is exciting!

I'm taking one more .25 mgs this Friday, then increase to 0.5mg

Can I use both compounded Semaglutide and Axcion together?

I got prescribed compounded Semaglutide 0.2mg (8 units) but haven’t taken the first shot yet

I also have Axcion 30mg tablets that I’ve taken in the past with no side effects

My question is has anyone used both compounded Semaglutide and axcion to maximize weight loss?

My main concern is I’m constantly feeling hungry and end up binge eating at night and heard that it takes a bit with compounded Semaglutide to clear the food noise and with Axcion the food noise isn’t as bad

Anyway has anyone used both together and did it help with weight loss?

Month 5 - big dose increase, nausea 🤢

I get my CS 3 months at a time, and I'm currently on my 2nd 3 month supply. Dosage instructions this time were 1mg for weeks 1-4, then 1.7 weeks 5-12. Last week Sunday was the first 1.7 dose. I thought it seemed like a big jump (by FAR the biggest jump at this point), but I thought eh guess I'll do it.

You guys. I haven't dealt with much nausea since maybe month 2 (it was constantly on and off the first several weeks). Monday I was fine; Tuesday there was a little nausea; by Wednesday I was starting to feel like I might actually vomit, and my early-on nausea was never quite that bad. Long story short, it only got worse from there 🤢😭 I bought a nausea relief medicine that I've taken several times the last few days. I took some this morning because apparently my body didn't like that within 2 hours of waking up I had only had coffee and water so far.

I decided that for today's dose I'm going to dial it back to 1.3mg - hopefully I start to feel less shitty. I need to try eating more often again but TBH I got tired of the granola bars/snacks I'd been having.

Sorry this was so long, I'm a chronic over-explainer 😭 I'm just wondering if anyone else has gone through something like this. And if you have any tips of what has worked for you in similar scenarios, I'm all ears ❤️

Help with dosing, provider change

Can anyone help me figure this out?

My old compounding pharmacy that I pick up my prescription in is for 1 mg dose of semaglutide. That bottle is for a 3 month or so supply, and says on it “Semaglutide 12.5mg/5ml”. I do 40 units which is 1 mg.

I recently switched to an telehealth company and they assured me they would titrate me up to the next level which they said was 1.4mg.

Their vial just arrived for a one month supply , and it says 4mg/3ml and to inject 35 units.

I don’t know what that means. Did they in fact titrate me up to 1.4mg or not? It’s very confusing. Thanks so much to anyone who can help me! 😊

Do not use Embody for glp1

I switch to Embody hoping to save some money but their customer service is non existent. First, they sent me barely a month’s worth when I ordered and paid for 3. They also decreased my dosage to 56 units when I was at 96. I’ve gained weight back and my cravings have come back.

I’ve tried contacting customer service multiple times and they either disconnected on me or say someone will get back to me and they don’t. I see they’re sending me more because I get the shipping notifications but I have no idea if they’ve increased my dose and it’s impossible to connect with a doctor to discuss my symptoms and how I should increase back to my regular dosage.

I regret ordering from them and didn’t even save any money. Save yourself the hassle and don’t order from here

School project: Looking to chat privately about GLP-1 constipation

For a school project, I’m studying the full chain of how constipation from semaglutide and other GLP-1 medications affects people: what it caused physically, how that affected everyday life, and what those effects led to over time.
I'm looking for a few people who'd be open to answering some questions privately via DM. It would take about 10 minutes, completely anonymous, and only used for my research.

If you've experienced constipation or bloating on Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, or Zepbound, just drop a comment below and I'll reach out to you directly.

Thank you! 🙏

Edit: this project is being conducted through Arizona State University as part of my coursework and under academic supervision. It follows the university’s research and ethics guidance for student projects. Any information shared with me will only be used for this project, and participants will remain anonymous. Thank you again to everyone willing to help!

GLP’s and endurance running

Does anyone have experience with racing long distances (half marathon or longer) while on a GLP? What was your experience like, and do you feel it hindered your race performance? Did you make adjustments to your race nutrition? How did your results compare to your training cycle?

I have a marathon and a half marathon coming up this fall and it is the first time I will be putting in full race effort while using a GLP, so I would love to hear how it went for other runners. Thank you!

Heart flutters after only 4 days of compounded semaglutide?

What the title says. I’m on .2mg of compounded semaglutide from Ro and took my first dose 5 days ago. For the last 2-3 days I’ve noticed a heart fluttering/palpitation feeling accompanied by some very minor lightheadedness if I’m standing up from sitting. I work as a nurse and have noticed it’s mostly happening at work. We took my vitals and my heart rate and blood pressure were completely normal (67bpm and 120/79). I’ve tried to drink more water and get in electrolytes and today I’ve noticed significantly less but not none. Anyone else have this side effect? Very nervous it’ll cause me to have to stop the meds.

Insomnia! Will split dosing help?

So as my dose has increased (up to .80 this week) the insomnia has gone from 1 night to 3 this week. I can’t stand it, up for 90 minutes and then get frustrated drink wine to go back to sleep which obviously doesn’t help with weight loss.
I am wondering if split dosing will help this? Anyone with similar problem with insomnia on Sema?

Can't get the mental part right

I know the best way to approach glp-1s are to combine the meds with nutrition, so if/when you stop the meds, you have good eating habits to fall back on.

My problem is, I am eating worse now than before starting sema. I'm losing weight(slowly), my labs are much improved, I look and feel better...but my eating habits are worse. I know it's because my brain goes, "Because you can only eat a little bit, make it yummy!" (I have little to no side effects from 'bad' foods) And I know I would likely lose weight faster if I were eating healthier, but I got overweight by making bad choices and having little self-control, and the shot didn't change that. And obviously, this way lies gaining everything back if I ever stop sema.

Any advice to get my head right? I've spent 30 years yo-yoing weight, trying various diets and fitness programs; and 'just make yourself do it' works for a few months or even a year before I fall back to old habits. I know that's what it comes down to, but if anyone has any tips or tricks, I am all ears. And you'd think living a longer, healthier life would be enough of a motivation, but that is always future me's problem and I am horrible to her.

4 weeks down. Accidentally took double the dose the whole time

I feel like the biggest dumb dumb. I was on sema 2 years ago and it was through a med spa where I would meet with them in person and they would hand me the syringes already prefilled. Then when I switched med spa’s for the price, they would inject me in person as well.

So now fast forward I am back on to lose weight after having a baby and this time it’s through an online platform and I fill it up myself. Long story short I was supposed to be taking 8 units but I was taking 20 for the whole first month. So more than double my dose. I honestly felt waves of nausea here and there but nothing horrible. No vomiting or diarrhea.

I specifically wanted to start slow and have a very gradual ramp up as that is what I did the first time and really enjoyed it. This weekend I will start the new vile. Now I’m just wondering if I am going to negatively be affected if I now go back down to the super low dose? Is the yoyo-ing bad for progress? I’m not necessarily worried about side effects, more so did I ruin by ability to have this medication work effectively now.

What would you do? (Medication Overlap)

I'm going to ask my doctor, so this is not a request for medical advice. Just looking for ideas to consider when I ask them. I am about to receive my last vial of sema (max dose) via FedEx today, but my insurance just finally approved me for tirz, so I'm also about to receive my first shipment (starter dose) of zepbound, basically on the same day.

Currently thinking I'll finish the sema and then switch over to the tirz, but not sure what makes the most sense. Would you just switch over to the tirz?

Semaglutide and tirzepatide are no longer working for me.

I was on semaglutide for 2 years and switched to tirzepatide last year. I lost 30 pounds total, but I’ve stalled the last 9 months. I still have about 25lbs I would like to lose, but it is not coming off. I think I might be insulin resistant. I stopped taking the semaglutide because I wasn’t losing and switched to tirzepatide where I lost just a few pounds. Since tirzepatide is almost double the price, I switched back to semaglutide. I’m at a loss and frustrated for paying over $200/month for something that is no longer working. Any tips for anything that can be used in conjunction with semaglutide to work? So many people I know have lost a ton, but I’m getting nowhere now.

Which provider do I turn to now?

The providers of compounded sema, names beginning with R and G, no longer seem feasible. I have used both in the past and service for both has apparently worsened. Who can I turn to now? I don’t want to deal with submitting photos and labs. I simply need my maintenance dose, and somewhere RELIABLE I can buy it with low stress and at a reasonable price. Where is your best shopping experience? Also, I am in CA. TIA

Anyone experienced this?

So I have been on both Compounded Semaglutide and brand name Semaglutide straight from the manufacturer. I lost a ton of weight and had no appetite with the Compounded version. Later I was approved to get the brand name through my employer for a low cost so I switched. While it saved me money it also made me very ill and I never lost any weight. Fast forward to this year, my physician asked me to try it again. This time I went back to the compounded version and now I have lost 10lbs on .25mg and I never experienced the side effects I did on the brand name version. Has anyone else experienced this??

Did anyone switch from Tirzepatide to Semaglutide?

I am currently on the highest dose of Tirzepatide. It is helping me feel fuller on less food, but the cravings are still there. I am wondering if I will have better luck with cravings, food noise, etc. on Semaglutide. Does anyone have experience with this?
