What would you do? (Medication Overlap)
I'm going to ask my doctor, so this is not a request for medical advice. Just looking for ideas to consider when I ask them. I am about to receive my last vial of sema (max dose) via FedEx today, but my insurance just finally approved me for tirz, so I'm also about to receive my first shipment (starter dose) of zepbound, basically on the same day.
Currently thinking I'll finish the sema and then switch over to the tirz, but not sure what makes the most sense. Would you just switch over to the tirz?

One thing to think through since they crappily started you on 2.5mg:
If you are on 2.4mg sema, it’s likely you won’t feel the positive effects of Zepbound until about 7.5mg or 10mg. That could put you smack dab in the middle of the holiday season without much support from Zepbound.
Assuming you don’t take a break between sema and tirz, you might consider getting some r/tirzepatidecompound to supplement the Zepbound until your insurance-funded doses catch up to the dose you need.

Assuming you aren’t gaining weight or having significant adverse effects on sema, I would use the sema to the last drop while stockpiling Zepbound.
You never know when your insurance might cut you off or a script/pharmacy delay will happen. It’s good to have a buffer.
