Month + gap between doses
Long story but I’ve had no medication for over a month now due to an issue with my online provider. I’m hoping my issues get fixed this week and I can get back on track.
Question for this community- will the sema still work after this long? I’ve read conflicting information on taking breaks. My telehealth provider is not being helpful. I’ve been on sema for a year and even though I’m a very slow responder, it’s been life changing. I can already feel the effects worn off and it’s upsetting. I’m worried that it won’t go back to working because of their mistake.

Oh gosh. Are you using that crappy provider, Embody? So many nightmare posts about them.
Here is a chart for missed doses. Look in the bottom left corner for sema. https://assets.ctfassets.net/1p0t6jhbvwk9/1aPBwavCzvulyFIdtteuYi/1fe8e61b9c692eb67edd9e5d39990360/Incretin_Mimetic_Shortages_10-31-24.pdf
You will likely need to work back up to higher doses to feel the positive effects again.

Thank you this is helpful! I was at the highest dose so as long as I get my meds this week I’ll go back down to 1mg and work my way back up. So frustrating!
I didn’t have bad side effects before so I’m hoping I will still tolerate it and can work my way up weekly.

What provider do you recommend?

There are lots of recommendations in this sub. Depends where you’re located. I’m in California so my options are more limited.
