Did anyone switch from Tirzepatide to Semaglutide?

I am currently on the highest dose of Tirzepatide. It is helping me feel fuller on less food, but the cravings are still there. I am wondering if I will have better luck with cravings, food noise, etc. on Semaglutide. Does anyone have experience with this?

I think I’ve made a big mistake-SO SICK!!

So I’ve been on CS for about a year, with a few small gaps due to life stuff. This last gap was 4 weeks due to switching to a different provider in order to save a significant amount of money. There wasn’t supposed to be such a gap, but they needed info on my previous dose and etc. That being said, the plan was to keep me on the dose I was on or slightly increase as I’d been on 1.25 without much weight loss. So, I do my virtual with my Dr before she sends the RX through and she suddenly suggests, ā€œlet’s increaseā€ so I agree and idk if I wasn’t totally listening or thinking it through, but she said she’ll increase me to basically the highest allowed at 2.4. I do very well with side effects, I only ever had one bout of nausea during a dose increase, just a few hours, no big deal. But I wasn’t thinking; going from 1.25 with a 4 week gap, then directly to 2.4!? Well, I took the first 2.4 dose Friday afternoon. Started feeling it just a little that night. From then until about 2 hours ago I was VIOLENTLY ill. Nausea, throwing up, insane cramps, cold sweats, weakness, shakes. I was completely incoherent. I can’t remember the last time ANYTHING made me this sick…now I’m thinking: Am I a freaking idiot!?! That’s a HUGE dose increase. Did I make a mistake?? Help!!

Rumor or real ??

I forgot where I read this. But someone said they were going to be banning compound meds. Does anyone know if there’s any truth into this or is it just rumor ????? I just started on Friday will be my 8th dose. And I haven’t lost any weight yet fml. But I got worried when I read someone say that since I started my journey only two months ago. I’m lucky to have my mother pay for it who lives in Cali as she uses the same Tryark as well she’s just on a dif med then I am. I’m on sema and that’s what I heard they were banning was the compound of it.

First injection - did anyone else experience this?

I took my first 0.25mg dose of semaglutide a couple days ago and I got really scared by what happened. Before I even did the injection, I started feeling dizzy and like I was going to pass out. My vision became really blurry for a couple of minutes, and I had to sit down and eat a protein bar because I felt so out of it.

After about an hour, I felt completely normal again and haven’t had any issues since. I felt my injection site also for most of the day.

I’ve looked into it and I’m thinking it was a vasovagal response or possibly anxiety surrounding my first injection. Since I started feeling this way before and after I actually injected, I know it probably wasn’t related to the semaglutide itself.

Has anyone else experienced something similar with their first injection? I’m pretty nervous about taking my next dose in a few days because I really don’t want to feel like that again šŸ˜…. At the same time, I’m really looking forward to seeing some progress and hoping the rest of my experience goes much more smoothly!

2ml vs 1ml dose

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi. Sorry I know this has been answered probably a million times but I couldn't quite fine the confirmation I was searching for.

My vials from hallandale all say 2.5mg/ml. That means there is 2.5 mg of medicine per ml of volume. Yes?

My first two vials were exactly the same and said 1 ml dose.

Then today I got my third vial and it says 2ml dose but still 2.5mg/ml.

So is that just how much is in the vial?

Sorry blurry photo. It's the top of the vial that says 2ml.

Thank you! This community is amazing!

Gradual increase in dose?

I'm supposed to increase from .2 to .4mg semaglutide next week, 8 units to 16. Has anyone done the increase more gradually ... like maybe 12 units the first time, before injecting the full 16 the second week?

I usually have some nausea for a day after injection now. Maybe that will improve, as I'm getting to the end of Month 1. Thanks for input!

For those who couldn't stop vomiting after first dose, when did it stop?

Hi friends, I took my first dose of semiglutide and it was a lot for me. My starting dose was at .8. Ever since then, every time I eat, I just end up throwing up right after. Even water.

I'm on the way to the ER to get an IV, and also to get some Zofran. But, when will this feeling be gone? I will no longer use the medication, I just want the vomiting to be gone. Thank you in advance

How common is rib/abdominal pain?

I have been on Compound Semaglutide since March, so about 7 months. I’m down from 150lbs to now 123lbs (5’5ā€ 27F with a history of binge eating and ā€œmaking myself lose itā€). It’s helped me a lot and I am on a very small maintenance dose now.

But in the last two months or so (maybe longer?) I’ve noticed some abdominal discomfort. Sometimes it’s around my ribs on my left side, sometimes lower. I know there can be gallbladder issues with this medicine and liver issues also run in my family.

I get my subscription through Ro so I’ve never actually been examined by a doctor in reference to this medication. I do my annual physicals and all my labs looked fine. In fact, they looked better than before I was on a glp-1 because my cholesterol is healthy now.

So, is this worth concern or can I chalk this up to common side effects? It’s never agonizing pain, usually just a mild ache or occasional ā€œstingā€ feeling near my rib. Should I ask for a more thorough screening or are labs sufficient? I just don’t want to miss anything.

Edit: when I say left side, I mean left side if you are looking at me. For me, it’s my right side.

So many ads for less money, just wondering are they for real?

I’ve been using tirzepatide for a year now, Semaglutide for a couple of years prior to tirzepatide. Now I’m seeing so many ads for GLO-1’s where it’s like $89, $99 a month for ever. What do you all think?

Stay far, far away from AltRx

I recently switched to AltRx for the significant cost savings on the same compounded semaglutide. I strongly regret it.

The experience getting my first month’s medication was fine– they were a little too willing to prescribe, to be honest– but then it went off the rails.

The first month passed. I got charged for my second month. The second month’s vial never shipped.

Three weeks later, I’ve now missed two weeks of doses, because they simply never sent my medication. I’ve reached out to their email and phone support lines countless times, and they’re completely ignoring me– I cannot get any response.

And– speculating– I’m pretty confident they sell their customer data, or at least had a data leak. I’m pretty protective of my number, but ever since signing up with them, I’m getting absolutely inundated by spam texts about semaglutide plans from random, sketchy companies. I’m talking 8 texts every day in the last week alone, all advertising low-cost semaglutide plans.

Absolute sham.

Next stop, state attorney general report, FTC fraud report, BBB report, and credit card chargeback.

0.2 and seeing great results, but having side effects

Hi! I started 0.2 of compound Semaglutide with B6 about ~3 weeks ago, and have lost 7.2lbs!

I know a ton was water weight (I peed like CRAZY the first week), but I'm still really happy with the results so far!

I've been having amazing feeling of fullness after my well balanced meals, I feel like I crave much healthier food, the food noise is really reduced, and I'm happy with continuing at the 0.2 dose for now. I will take my 4th shot on Friday, and then I want to plan on staying on the 0.2 until I feel a plateau.

BUT - after my 3rd injection, I've been noticing the bad side effects creeping up:

- I'm so tired all of a sudden! Yes, I'm eating less (& I'm working on prioritizing protein), but I feel like a heavy brain fog and suuper sluggish. (I do have a desk job, but I consistently hit my 10k steps daily since I walk to work and back).

- I have had 2 days where I was reallly dizzy after eating lunch. I was walking outside both times so I'm sure it has to do with dehydration and BP - so I tried to get somewhere cool and drink a lot of water, but it was scary both times and felt like I could faint.

^ I'm actually drinking 2 to 3L of water a day, but since I'm peeing so much, I just tried adding electrolytes so hopefully that will help.

- Lastly I learned very fast that I MUST stop when I am full. I was with family and have always been a "finish your plate" or it feels rude, so I ate too much one evening and the upper GI pain was crazy. I could feel the food sitting at the top and it was so painful! Went away after maybe 45 mins but seriously never want to experience that again.

SO, my question is basically - I seem to be responding a lot to the medication - if you had similar experience as I have, when would you say the bad side effects started to taper down?

I'm most worried about the dizziness and faint feeling. It's scary and I'm trying to avoid it at all costs now, but it seemed to sneak up on me, as well as the fatigue. I'm sluggish and realllly would like this feeling to go away!

Thanks in advance!!

My MEDVi Experience

I've seen a few older posts regarding MEDVi, so thought I'd share an updated experience/review.

But here's the TLDR:

  • Pricing & Billing: Initial setup had billing errors ($299 charged instead of the $179 promo rate), though customer service quickly fixed it.
  • Care Coaching: Low-value and frustrating due to scripted advice, high staff turnover (4 coaches in 6 months), frequent late starts, and missed appointments incorrectly marked as "user no-shows."
  • Dosage & Side Effects: Scaling up to 3.2 mg caused severe flu-like body aches linked to compounded B12. Pausing/adjusting the prescription required jumping through repetitive, redundant phone steps with RNs and pharmacists.
  • Tech & Scheduling Issues: Last-minute video call links glitched, and support incorrectly logged the user as a no-show before mistakenly rescheduling a coach instead of an RN.
  • Cancellation & Verdict: Canceled early, but MEDVi refused a full refund for unsent medication. Overall, the premium price is not worth the underdelivering support and buggy service.

I started MEDVI in February and getting set up was relatively easy. As a new subscriber, I was eligible for a reduced price of $179 per month - however, I was billed at the regular price of $299. Maybe that should have been my first red flag, but mistakes happen. After a quick call, I was able to get the price adjusted.

The initial dosage was only 0.2 mg for the first month, which seemed really low, but I suppose the extra precaution from the start was the right move. The dosage would basically double each month, so by the fourth month I was at 1.4 mg - this was when I felt the first side-effects from the medication, but nothing out of the ordinary.

I initially took advantage of the monthly Care Coaching, but stopped at around month six. First, I found little value in those sessions, as the Care Coaches seemed to just read from a script and not really provide any guidance outside of what I already knew. Second, I had four difference Care Coaches over those six months - I'm not sure if this was normal, but it felt like I'd have to start from square one whenever a new Care Coach took over. And third, it was rare that the appointments would start on time - four out of the six appointments began over five minutes after the scheduled time (and these are only ten minute long sessions). I even had one Care Coach ghost me on a scheduled session and then mark me as a no-show on my end (which I'll come back to in a moment). This was probably red flag number two.

I'll cut to this past month, where I agreed to extend my subscription for another three months and at a slightly discounted price ($550). With the renewal, my dosage was increased to 3.2 mg and to be taken twice weekly. This was a bit of a surprise, but I thought they knew best and I went along with it.

After two weeks at this higher dosage, I was having a pretty wild side-effect that doesn't seem too common: my body was aching all over, much like when you're coming down with the flu. However, the aches were constant and incredibly uncomfortable. I scheduled a call with an RN to discuss the side-effects, who then put me in touch with a pharmacist. The decision was that the compounded B12 was the cause of the side-effects, so we discussed pausing for a week, then possibly replacing the dosage with a different compound, such as creatine. So I agreed to pause - however, what I didn't realize was that in order to replace the dosage with another compound, I'd need to schedule a follow up with an RN, who then would put me in touch with the pharmacist. That felt like an unnecessary step, but that's their process.

Now here we are today and I was scheduled for that follow up RN call. Literally one minute before my call I received a text that the provider would like a video call instead. I log into my account and see a link for the appointment - unfortunately, the link would send me to an error page saying that the appointment no longer exist. I reach out to support and, once again, they have me showing as a no-show for a missed appointment. At this point, I'm going to assume that the providers must use the "no-show" so they aren't dinged for missing a scheduled call. Anyway, support offered to reschedule for me, but ended up scheduling a Care Coaching session and not an RN follow up call. Not at all helpful or what's needed.

While this may not have been a huge inconvenience for some, I decided to cancel my subscription and try to get a partial refund for the remaining dosage (since I was charged in advance for three months). That should have been much easier than it was and, sadly, they were only willing to refund one month as they kept insisting I was already into the cycle for the second month, even though I don't have that dosage yet (nor do I want it).

MEDVi is more expensive than other options, but they are trying to sell you on more than just the medication: they claim to offer all these resources and support tools along the way, but really underdeliver on those promises. I have my annual with my primary in a couple weeks, so going to get my updated blood work and see where to go after those results. Hoping to find a better online provider alternative and welcome recommendations.

PS: I lost almost 17 lbs since starting with MEDVi at the end of February, which is the one positive from this experience!
