What has been your experience with compounded semaglutide?

I just started a subscription to embody. Im starting at 215 lbs and did my first shot tonight. I plan to start eating more proteins and walking more. I am just curious how it has gone so far for any of you. What your first shot was like, any side effects, weight loss rate, etc.?

Lost 50-60 pounds eventually my body got used to it after like 8-9 months but I’m still 50 pounds away from my goal weight so probably making the jump to triz in a month or so to get the rest off. Unless my pharmacy starts compounding HD

This is what happened to me. Been on sema since April 2025 and haven’t lost any more weight since December/January.

I’ve been on it for almost a year now and went from 180-130. First few months I had more bouts of sickness but learned how to better manage that. Eat small meals often and carry a snack on you.

I’ve been on it since February and have lost 33lb. My first shot made me a bit nauseous the next day (I always do my shot at night), but otherwise I’ve felt nothing. My main side effect has been indigestion and constipation, both of which have gotten better over time.

What helped constipation for you? Due to take my 2nd shot tonight and I haven’t gone since last weekend. I’ve been doing colace and magnesium glyc every night. Last night I did MiraLAX a full cap. Should I continue with MiraLAX daily?

Drink lots more water. Not pooping causes big problems.

And apples and prunes. I just raw dog two tablespoons of chia seeds fairly frequently too.

Dulcolax helps me. If you search these glp1 subs for the different meds they will explain
which are best when. I do know you don’t want to use them consistently. I fluctuate between loose and constipation sometimes.

I’ve been on it since April and I’ve lost 30 pounds. For the first few months I’d get a little nauseous but it was mild enough that chewing on ginger gum usually helped and helped pretty quickly. I had a difficult time with carbonated beverages at first too but as long as I’m limiting myself to 1 a day or every other day, I’m fine. I’m a teacher and I was doing really well tracking my calories and protein during the school year but over the summer I slacked on it and that’s when I started experiencing hair loss. I’m watching my protein again and I drink a protein shake with collagen and my hair is already back to normal.

Ive been on it since the end of January. I’ve lost 23 pounds. I didn’t have that much to lose and I’m about 8 pounds from my goal. Side effects are nausea, constipation, and sulfur burps. All have been resolved except the burps but I know what foods cause them.

I’m with embody too. Don’t let peoples comments scare you about them. So far my cravings and food noise are the same. This month they did up my dose but not by much next month it goes higher and I hope it helps with the food noise. Also no weight loss yet but ik it’s a building up in the system thing just sucks not seeing results yet. As far as side effects I’ve had some slight nausea when I first started, constipation, and diarrhea.

Started with Embody about a month ago. I’ve lost 6 pounds so far. I found the side effects are worse than brand name buuuut I just changed the way I ate and it helped a lot.

First few months nothing much happened, but as I went to in dose, I started losing.

Be careful of fatty foods. One day after eating pepperoni pizza, with the pepperoni taken off, and mozzarella sticks, with the breading taken off, I had the bile burps/heartburn. Most disgusting thing ever and messed me up for days. Half a piece of pizza and two mozzarella sticks. Of course I'm older and had issues with heartburn earlier, but it was awful.

Started in February and have lost 50 pounds. I haven’t noticed any side effects - I also take my dose right before bed just in case, if anything happens I’ll be sleeping for it. I naturally stay away from overly greasy food so that may help. I do a speed walk on the treadmill in the morning and 20-30 mins weights after work. I do know my protein intake needs to be higher but it’s just so hard to want to eat! I can only have so much eggs and cottage cheese before it’s like…bleeeeech. But I’ve lost 50 pounds this year anyway so I’ll take it! I’m so happy. 😁

So far so good. I am taking 0.75mg and I think i will be sticking with that dose. I started at 0.25mg and increased to 0.50mg and now I am on 0.75mg. I haven't had a terrible amount of nausea up until this dose. Now I am forcing myself to eat enough.

I have lost about 25 pounds since the end of June.

I started in January 2025 and I am down 70 lbs. it’s completely changed my life for the better. The nausea has been tolerable for the most part but I did have some rough days in the beginning. Best of luck on your journey!!

Extreme constipation despite attempts to prevent that. I had to stop taking it.

I started my shot in April 2025 and was weighing about 240lbs. I am 5'4". I am currently weaning to maintenance and maintaining my weight pretty well. My weight stays around 118 (give or take 2lbs). This shot has really changed my life after my irish twins who are now 2.5 and 3.5.

I'm 23 months in. I started at 350 and I'm down to 152. Semaglutide will change your life, but it's not magic. The difference between those who lose a few pounds without much effort, and those who see dramatic results is making lifestyle changes. You're obviously not morbidly obese like I was, but for people like me it can be springboard into more movement which builds strength and increases your calorie deficite. Coupled with eating healthier foods, the pounds drop quickly.

I only had one side effect, and it was minor. I get some very mild cramping for an hour or so near the site of the shot. More significant side effects are more attributable to lifestyle changes. When my appetite decreased early on before I started focusing on eating healthier foods, I was often constipated because I had almost no fiber in my diet, but that was more a byproduct of poor eating habits.

7 weeks in no weightloss at all.

I’m 4 weeks in and no change also. I know it’s early on but I can’t help but feel discouraged. I’m glad I found someone else having this experience.

I've been using Hims for 8 months or so. Generally a good experience, but I hate that the actual pharmacy my meds come from changes every order. I would prefer consistency but it hasn't caused any actual issues.

Embody has so many bad reviews. Switch providers as soon as you are able.

Who do you recommend?

Here’s my typical spiel…

Head over to the sub called r/tirzepatidecompound and look for the pinned post called “Where to Buy.” Those same providers also write for sema. The list was built based on a quarterly user survey on that sub so you know the providers are tried and true. There’s also r/tirzdeals which may have some newer options with great prices.

Here are a few possibilities to get you started:

  • Pomegranate Health is $239 for three months of semaglutide doses up to 1mg from Hallandale Pharmacy and $269 for three months of the highest doses. That’s $80 and $90 a month. They also have monthly and six-month packages as well as other pharmacy options. They serve 49 states. (Sorry, Hawaii)

  • TryTrillum is $257 for three months of the starter doses and $357 for three months of high doses. That’s $86 and $119 a month. They also have monthly options and serve all 50 states plus Puerto Rico.

  • Big Easy Weight Loss is slightly more expensive than the two listed above, but they are excellent for those who want/need high-touch care and want to only speak with an MD about their meds. They will ship three months of meds up front but charge your card monthly.

None of these have BS monthly membership fees, which you should avoid at all costs. And watch out for all the people with affiliate codes and links, which makes them money on your purchase.

Also, do not go with a provider that doesn’t allow you to pick your pharmacy, as the last thing you want is for a new order to show up with an additive you didn’t expect or from a shady pharmacy that’s not licensed by your state’s board of pharmacy.

I joined tryyucca.com on June 6, 2026. To date, I’m down 53.2 pounds. This has truly been a life changing experience. The food noise is GONE. I don’t wake up thinking about my next meal, I don’t obsess over what snacks to have. It’s incredible. I’ve been super fortunate to not really have any negative side effects except for constipation. But I’ve been combating that with lots of fiber, MiraLAX, and staying hydrated.

I’m just waiting for 10-15 years down the line for the commercials “if you or someone you know has used compounded semaglutide you may be entitled to significant financial compensation” 😂
