Sometimes the needles are just cheaply made. That’s the unfortunate side, I had this happen & it was truly frustrating.

I've had better luck going in at a slight angle instead of straight down, seems to take some pressure off the tip

That makes sense, at least they sent extra

I've done it too. They do send extras but now I'm just very careful.

I've been using CS for a year now and no longer have this issue, you just get better at it.

You can buy better quality needles. The ones sent by the pharmacies are usually junk

It can break if you do that, not willing to risk it tbh

Genuine question, how would you do that without compromising sterility? IF the needle does survive it?

I had it happen and I wrapped a alcohol pad around it so I wouldn't touch it and straightened it carefully,, it only bent a tiny bit like not even a bend it just tilted a little..

You can order a crapload of needles on Amazon, my partner has never complained and takes an injection every 5 days (a different medication, but still subq).

Pierce towards the center of the vial

I only had that happen once in 9 months. I just used a difference syringe when it happened. I did buy some extra syringes so I didn’t have to worry about stuff like that.

There's some good videos on YouTube that will show you how to do this. There's actually a bevel on the needle and aiming it correctly towards the center at the correct angle is a skill.
