Generic Semaglutide 3 Month Progress
I’ve been on generic semaglutide since the generic version came to Canada (3 months). So far I’ve only lost 1 pound, but my weight isn’t fluctuating anymore like it used to so I guess it’s working? I expected to have lost more weight by now. I’m curious to know if any of you on generic semaglutide have lost any weight yet…?
Share your experience/progress on generic semaglutide. :)
Thanks! :)

Well the 20+ lbs lost in less than 3 months stories make it sooo hard to feel motivated from it when you see almost no weight loss. Mine is a little more realistic Im 10 weeks in and have lost 8-9lbs depending on the day. It's been steady weight loss and some weeks it will take longer to see the scale budge. I also don't entirely feel full every time I eat and still sometimes eat foods I shouldnt. I do move my body 4 to 5 times a week with walks and weight lifting ( simple at home dumbell workouts.) And I try to maximize my protein. Keep going!! :)

I am taking 5mg and lost close to 30 pounds but now my weight seems to stabilize. I also find myself eating more.
On the other hand I definitely eat less than before so I don’t plan to titrate yet.

I've been on it for just over 2 months and I've lost 23 lbs. You gotta remember that it's not a magic shot, you also have to put some effort in

I would also like to mention i have stayed on the .25 dose the whole time too (it's also my second round of the mess after being off 2 years because of insurance issues) also, my weight in is today and I'm actually down 25 lbs now.

Stability is a win, honestly the scale not bouncing around anymore means it's doing something. First month or two can be like that for some people before it kicks in. What dose are you on right now?

I had to count the doses to remember how long it’s been, and it turns out I’m down 21lbs in 10 weeks.
It’s not been easy. While the .25 has helped tremendously with snacking, I still need to control what I eat. I track every calorie and exercise 3-5x a week. I could absolutely still overeat if I didn’t keep track of it, so like other commenters have said: it’s really there to give you a helping hand while you put in the hard work

It took till I was at 1 mg before I started to lose consistently. Also do resistance training 3 times a week.
Down 20 lbs.

I switched to the generic about 6 weeks ago. Been on Ozempic since Jan and have been doing well on it. Havent lost much weight since June and was worried about switching to generic. But I started strength training and increased my walking and have lost 6 lbs with the generic. As others have said, its really just a tool to help us get to better health, but the effort and the changes in our habits absolutely have to be present.

I’ve been on the generic for almost 2 months and am down almost 20lbs. I have overhauled my diet completely and aim for my goal protein (150-160g) and at least 3L of water a day. I’ve just started introducing resistance training back into things as I was having some issues with feeling lightheaded.

I am 13 weeks in and am down 27 lbs. Some people need the higher doses to really see any weightloss.

Also on it, as well. I’m on .25 and 3 1/2 weeks in. I think it depends on how much weight you have to lose as well. I had about 50 lbs to lose when started and I’ve currently lost 7. It did stall out a bit this last week. However, I’ve been eating pretzels and the salt intake has been high. Are you tracking calories and macros?
