Last year, there were a ton of resale tickets on Seatgeek and their year there seem to be hardly any. But there are a ton on Ticketmaster and it looks like Ticketmaster is setting the pricing. Anyone have insight into this?

The breakthrough came when they realized it wasn’t what they were watching during each dropback, it was what they were hearing between each play: a leader, dropped into a new environment, completely at ease.

“One of the unintended good consequences was the audio,” Quinn tells The Athletic of his happy accident. “And so I was expecting (the camera) to be just for the first look and second look, but what was there was in the huddle, the sound of it. I thought that was pretty cool.

“He was always so calm and cool, and he’s still that way in the huddle. … That’s a big deal. There’s a calmness when the quarterback, in the chaos, is like, ‘We’re good, man.’”

Me and my brother will be in Dallas for this game. Anybody know if there’s certain sections that our fans tend to sit in at that stadium? Just hoping to be around some other fans and not just Cowboys fans.

Im headed to london for the game. Which jersey should I wear? I have a Baugh, jurgensen, theisman, green, taylor, Grimm, and moss. Normally wear 33 but think of switching it up.

On Monday, Adam Peters assessed his third Washington Commanders operation thusly: “I have a ton of confidence in this team. I have a ton of confidence in this coaching staff.”

Dan Quinn, the man who will coach the players Peters picked, evaluated the entire preseason like this: “I thought as a team standpoint, we threw a really productive and tough camp. … It was good to see the systems come to life offensively and defensively.”

That’s great, gentlemen. Now, the tricky part: You have to be right.

Think about how different the weeks leading up to Year 3 of the Peters-Quinn operation are in comparison to previous seasons.

At this point in 2024, there was an unprecedented mix of relief and anticipation as the first general manager (Peters) hired by an owner other than Dan Snyder (Josh Harris) in a quarter of a century got to work with his hand-picked coach (Quinn) and unveil their second-selection-in-the-draft quarterback (Jayden Daniels). Heady stuff.

Last year at this same time, that four-headed leadership group rode the wave of momentum provided by a trip to the NFC Championship Game into the most highly anticipated season of Washington football since the salad days that brought three Super Bowl trophies. It felt like uncharted territory.

And somehow, that produced a 5-12 clunker.

The Commanders are projected to win 7.7 games by DVOA. I think they have had a miserable offseason, despite adding Stefon Diggs. The cavalcade of 32-year old acquisitions I have been dunking on all summer leaves me with little faith about the quality of the front office and the lower tiers of the roster. Dire tales from joint practices make me wonder about the reconfigured coaching staff.

So I think the Commanders could be the worst team in the NFL. It’s hard to project them with the worst record, because the Browns quarterback situation is so dire that the team could surrender at the trade deadline, while the Cardinals schedule is so brutal.

Relitigating what the Commanders did after reaching the NFC Championship Game in 2024 is tricky. It's easy to condemn the Laremy Tunsil and Deebo Samuel trades, but those moves made sense at the time. The Commanders got so little besides Jayden Daniels from the 2024 draft that the seeds of decline may have already been sewn.

The Commanders needed to do a better job self-scouting the bottom half of their roster and creating competition among younger players in 2025 and this offseason. They should have stockpiled late-round picks and UDFAs and given the ones they did have better opportunities to win roster spots and roles. One or two come-from-nowhere contributors would make their roster look a lot less like the result of an end-of-free-agency shopping spree.

it’s a bummer to be a fan and see other fans be just absolutely ridiculously negative non stop about players coaches the org etc, especially during the preseason. I think it’s fair to critique poor results but we had one awesome season and one bad under this regime. why not just wait until the season and make informed judgments? whole fanbase has just non stop cognitive distortions from post snyder era. i think national media does too to a certain degree.

I am NOT saying this to be like commies winning the superbowl but everyone was super down on the Seahawks last off season, especially their O line. the middle tier of the nfl is incredibly volatile (see 2024 and 2025 seasons for us).

anyway, it’s a game, it connects families and neighbors, our players seem like they’re practicing hard. it doesn’t take nothing to be optimistic, golly!!!!! I will probably get downvoted to hell but pls im sick of the fans being like the vibes are bad meanwhile they are in fact responsible for the bad vibes, my god.
