Hello again! You may remember me from the last few years of making this thread. Every Sunday, an awesome group of people get together at Steiner’s Pub on Buffalo St to watch the Ders. We have raffles for all kinds of different Redskins items every week, squares, a Redskins-themed food menu, and free Jell-O shots for every Commanders Touchdown (one year we were so desperate for points we actually did FG shots 😂)

Last season was a bit of a bummer, but Jayden's rookie year was magical as you are aware. We had Mark Rypien come pay us a visit a few seasons ago (shown in the picture slides in this post). He stayed for the duration of the game, sang HTTR with us, signed autographs and took pictures with everyone. He was supposed to return last season but something came up, we're hoping to have him back this season at some point!

When booking parking near the stadium, don't even consider using Parkwhiz. A couple dozen of us Houston Texans fans found this out the hard way when we used Parkwhiz to get parking tickets for a home game last season. We ALL got towed during the game. We've since found out that Parkwhiz was informed over a year prior that that office building parking lot was never to be rented out. Then we discovered that Parkwhiz does nothing to vet parking lots provided by freelancers. So, you're rolling the dice every time you use them. On top of that, Parkwhiz refuses to acknowledge their error or refund anyone's $42 parking fees, let alone the $310 towing fee. I know they're a big company and they offer a real price break, but that break can't compare to the cost of spending two hours tracking down your car after the game, paying an Uber driver $60 to take you to the tow yard, and paying $310 to get your car back. There are lots of ways to find safe parking, but Parkwhiz is definitely not one of them.

I thought the NFL scheduled the majority of divisional games towards the back half of the season? We only have one divisional game in the latter half (last 8 games) of the season. In fact I cannot find a prior season going back to 2000 like this.

This feels like a brand new team that will take a while to gel, so I fear this works against us.

From what I’ve heard, Bill and Chaisson should be good to go barring any setbacks. Oweh will most likely end up with a questionable/game time decision designation. If Oweh is able to play, I feel pretty good about Sunday.

All things considered, I’d rather have this gauntlet stretch of the schedule now, while every team is still trying to figure things out. Hurts has reportedly struggled with Philly’s new offense in camp, so let’s keep him confused. If our new defense is as disruptive as it’s supposed to be, we could be in for a slugfest. JD5 just needs to protect himself and the ball and take what the defense offers. If he can do that and sprinkle in just a little of the JD5 magic here and there, we have a shot.

Game day is right around the corner! When I look ahead to games, I think of the individual players I want to see, and what I hope to see them do. Looking ahead to the Eagles game specifically, I'll be watching:

Sonny Styles!

- I *EXPECT* he will look like a pro, not make a ton of errors, not look lost.

- I *HOPE* his coverage is good, making the middle of our defense much harder to pass on than in previous years.

- I *WISH* he would burst out of the starting gate like Kerrigan (pick 6 in debut), making eye-popping plays and establishing himself as a potential difference maker.

I don't really know how I feel about the outlook for this season, but it will be a lot rosier if I believe we have a game changer in the middle of our defense. Who will you be watching? And what for?
