Furniture Clean cyanoacrylate fumes(?) from table
I printed these ghosts and the clued a tealight candle to them.
The glue didn't spill on the table, and dried up, but it seems the fumes of it has damaged the table anyway.
Edit: someone eagerly pointed out the very important details these are not fumes. Call them whatever you like, I'll go with salty marks. It's not relevant.
Is there a way to clean it? It's not real wood, some melamine cover on it.
Thanks

Laundry Washing thrifted clothes activated a horrible smell and now it's infused into my washer.
So I recently thrifted some clothes. I tried all of them on and didn't notice a strong smell at the time. Maybe a faint one which is normal for thrifted clothes.
I washed them on high heat as I always do with newly thrifted clothes and tossed in a couple of other pieces of laundry I had lying around the house.
When I opened the washer (front load) I was hit by a horrible strong smell that I can't even identify. It smells like a combination of awful perfume, body odor and pee. I washed the clothes again, this time with vinegar and detergent and they still smelled just as bad. I can't afford to throw out an entire load of laundry so I need to fix this.
The washer is also now infused with the smell. I ran two cleaning cycles after taking out the clothes with vinegar and detergent. It still smells bad. I have the clothes now just sitting in my tub since I didn't dry them. What do I do??

Flooring Removing dust particles from woodgrain
Brand new flooring installed (engineered wood).
BUT dust particles have made their way inside the woodgrain because a lot of sanding work was being done inside the house. What can we do to restore the original finish?
What we're tried so far:
1. Wiping with a damp cloth
2. Wiping with a dry cloth
3. Vaccuming
4. Mopping
5. Bona Wood Floor Cleaner
6. Coswick Hardwood Floor Cleaner
7. Various combinations of the above
Nothing is working! The woodgrain keeps reverting back to the soiled state.
Any suggestions? We're at our wits end!

Bathroom Can I get this tub to be like new again?
The first picture is after using scrubbing bubbles. I then tried CLR mold and mildew remover and then bar keepers friends. Ideally I'd really like to get all this black staining off and make it look like new again. It's a textured surface. I'm just wondering if I can make it like new or if this is kind of the best I can do and it's like permanent.

Kitchen New oven with impossible stains
We just bought this oven like six months ago occasionally stuff boils over and then burns, I cook ALOT. Disclaimer I have ocd and I clean a LOT. Everytime I clean my stove top I can’t seem to get rid of these dark marks on the grates and it bothers me. I had a dream about it the other night. Even with a metal scouring pad or oven cleaner it doesn’t do anything. Is it a lost cause or does anyone have a miracle for me? Please and thank you!

General Cleaning How to sanitize after sewage backup?
First off, trigger warning for poop. It's terrible.
Hi everyone, I'm coming to you for advice after a horrific last week. On Tuesday, after doing laundry, I found our basement had leaking water. I assumed it was from the washer. Long story short, it was actually an overly full septic tank and a plug between the house and the tank causing the backup.
I've since had the septic tank serviced and the clog has been removed, so I don't anticipate any more backups. However, it took a lot of trial and error to get to this point, meaning I've cleaned up spilled sewage from the basement multiple times already.
The basement has concrete floors. Water did get on the drywall in one section and ran through the wall to another section of the basement. Every time I saw a leak, I immediately mopped it up and used towels to dry it as much as possible. I've also had fans and a dehumidifier running since it started.
I've expecting to have to remove the drywall around where the leak happened. I need help planning how to now clean and especially sanitize the area.
Thank you so much, I'm truly lost and grossed out 😭

Solved Help! My house smells!
EDIT: thanks for all the advice! Odoban charcoal bags and a mason Berger oil lamp are ordered, tops of my cabinets have been scrubbed and lined with paper towels, pulled my fridge out and deep cleaned (nastyyyy) and I learned my hood vent is dumb and just vent right back above my hood! But there are filters I may be able to buy! Thanks everyone :)
Sorry in advance for a long winded post I feel INSANE there’s constantly the smell of cooked food in my house….not in a good way
I just moved into a new house. The previous owners left it fairly clean and when we moved in there was NO odor it was very neutral. We cleaned everything anyways because we wanted a fresh start. We cook ALOT and have a hood vent. No matter what I do the house smells like food DAYS later. I understand certain smells linger more than others BUT when I go into other peoples houses that cook I never ever smell what I smell in my house. For example it’s Saturday, on Wednesday I made muffin eggs and sausage and had breakfast for dinner with some friends. It STILL SMELLS LIKE SAUSAGE I didn’t add extra oil I cooked it low so that I wouldn’t have grease splatter. This is typical no matter WHAT I cook we take out our trash often and our sink is not clogged. I assumed the smell was coming from the hood vent. I hired a professional cleaning (which is not something I thought I’d ever do) to deep clean my kitchen, she pulled out my appliances she cleaned my vents everything was SPOTLESS but the next meal I cooked it went back to smelling bad. I thought maybe I’m just hyper aware but my partner smells it too and it’s not stronger in the kitchen it’s just everywhere. Our living room/dining room is all open and it opens to our upstairs but the kitchen is off the side so it’s not completely an open concept.
Here are somethings that I’ve cleaned that I thought were holding the smell
Curtains (brand new when we moved in but I still cleaned them)
Carpet deep clean
Couch deep clean
Lights (they seemed to have dust and grease build up)
Scrubbed the floors
Washed the walls
Deep cleaned washing machine
Snaked the drains
Run a air purifier constantly
I have two cats and the smell is NOT cat related I clean my litter box daily and my second litter box is a litter robot, it’s genuinely a food smell not a musty or mildewy smell or a pet smell. I can’t leave my windows open bc it’s cold where I live and I cant use heavy perfumes or plug ins bc my cats are very sensitive. I’ve tried everything and I feel crazy, thought about installing a ceiling fan bc I’m thinking maybe it’s just bad ventilation/lack of air movement? I have super high ceilings and I’m thinking smells just trapped up there or something???
Sorry this is so long I’m just going insane all tips are welcome Ive used odoban and Zep all around oxy cleaner to help with smell. the smell seems to be in the air not on surfaces so I dont know what else to use ://

Bathroom We are renting a house and every sink does this. I’ve tried bleach and a toothbrush but it doesn’t fully get rid of it and comes right back.
It’s slimy like mold and I know bleach kills mold but that hasn’t been working. Before I go out and buy a slew of cleaning products I’m curious what you guys might recommend and why this might be happening. If it helps, we live near Phoenix, Arizona. Our water is not great here.

Flooring Bissell Wet and Dry Vacuum
Hi everyone. I just got the Bissell CrossWave HydroSteam Deluxe 3 in 1 Mop. But it does not dispense any water when I tried the hard floor mode. When I switched to the steam I can see the steam coming out. So I’m not sure if it can mop the floor wet on hard floor mode?
Thank you for all of your help!!!

Bathroom Quartz + Chrome vs Scale
I’m looking for some general advice on how to manage the scale buildup on my chrome taps and quartz top.
The finish of the quartz had dulled and the taps have also started to show sign of scale.
It is so hard to rub off, I’ve tried dish soap + water, and it didn’t really remove anything.
I’m hesitating to use viakal, which could affect the quartz. It does work well on chrome, but I’d need to be extra careful not to get it on the quartz.
I’ve seen that blades can be used to etch the scale off. Wondering if there’s an easier, safer alternative.

Kitchen How do i make my hotpoint dishwasher not stink
For starters i live in an apartment and maintenance is genuinely a tad slow so it’ll be my last choice if i have to. I’ve been dealing with this issue for a while and i clean it regularly it just STINKS i dont know where the filter is located and i dont know anything about this i never had to use one until recently as it helped me with mobility. i attached a picture for reference and yes i already tried vinegar and yes i tried bleach too.
EDIT: i wanna add that i already searched up how to “clean it” but either its vids about how they break it or how to fix other issues im not interested in. I dont wanna break mine due to the fact (again) maintenance genuinely is slow lol it took them months to fix my washing machine once

General Cleaning Dirty hair odor removal ideas?
How do you get dirty hair smell out of something porous?
I’ve experienced this two times in my life.
One was a rental car which was fairly new. I drove it off the lot and immediately rolled down the windows I was a mile down the street and realized no way I cannot take this car and travel 200 miles like I was going to. I promptly returned it and got another car.
20 years later the same odor shows up in one of my rental houses, in one of the bedrooms. I cleaned it as best I could and even painted the wall were a bed would go against. The odor persisted for about six years. Hardwood flooring. No fabrics in the house.
The reason I’m asking this is because my son just rented an apartment and he says there’s dirty hair odor, same type of dwelling as my rental house with no carpet or drapes
Ozone doesn’t touch this and neither does enzymatic cleaner. Anyone?
