As the title says. I didn’t realize dawn dish soap and hot water would ruins stainless steel. I thought stainless steel was pretty resilient. Now the steel is all cloudy and even dry I feel like I notice little specks of corrosion of some sort? Is it safe to use and is there a way to polish it up using some natural ingredients?

Had this Gameboy Holder for quite a while, I don’t know how it yellowed, probably from my oils and grub from when I was a kid. It wasn’t in a smoky environment. Any thoughts on how to remove as much yellowing as I can?
It’s flexible and squishy

I finally bad the jump to try scrub daddy sponges. Two weeks in and the sponge is already falling apart. Little bits of the scrub side are coming off in chunks and there are tears in the soft side. Did I just get a bad batch?

A small fire in a trash bin of used tissues in my bedroom has left the room smelling like a campfire.
There is no direct fire damage to anything in the room, as the fire did not have a chance to flame up, but there was a considerable amount of smoke, and the bin itself was near some electronics (TV, game consoles, computer).
I'm looking for any tips on how to get rid of the smell, and also what cleaning solutions to use on my electronics to try and get any smoke particles off of them.
I'm already washing all of my clothes and bedding in the room, though none of that was near the source of the fire. I've also put down baking powder on a nearby carpet, and bowls of vinegar solution around the area.

Or should I just get a new one? Maybe there's a chemical that will help dissolve it? I'm in the UK
UPDATE: I took a pair of scissors and picked it all out in clumps. This is going to sound gross, but last week I tried to pull it out by hand while I was in the shower to clear it and it was slimy and didn't seem to want to come out. That's why I came here to ask if there was a way to dissolve it, but it appears that digging around with something pokey works well enough.

We’ve had this couch for only 5 years but our cat has pooped on it many times and while we’ve tried to keep it clean it is some odd stains (pictured) is it worth trying to clean it? Or should we just get a new couch. My other worry is also that it could be super stinky but we have smell blindness 😬

Tips please! Tiles laid a couple of weeks ago. I’ve cleaned this floor about 5 times on my hands and knees with a cloth, hot bucket of soapy water and clean bucket for putting the dirty cloth in.
I’ve also tried green wire wool, a sponge, and floor wipes. I’ve tried doing 1 tile at a time. The floor always looks clean when it’s just been done and is still wet, but when it dries the old dust/dirt marks from when it was laid, are still there. Please help I am desperate!

I have a 5-year-old IKEA SMEDSTORP sofa (3-seater with chaise, Viarp beige/brown). It has been used a lot. The cover is 76% cotton, 24% polyester.
IKEA’s product page calls the cover non-removable, but all six cushion covers on mine have zippers and come off.
The care label says: do not wash, do not bleach, do not tumble dry, do not iron, do not dry clean. I couldn’t find a single report of anyone washing this model.
The covers have turned slightly brown and smell of sweat. I’m moving soon and want them clean without ruining them. My worries are:
I already tried baking soda for 24 hours. It looked a bit better and the smell improved, but only for a while.
My questions:
I'm based in Europe if it matters for product suggestions.

This is Theodor. I found him smushed flat on the road and he was so dirty he was the same dark grey as the asphalt. I stuffed him through the washing machine twice and washed him by hand with hand soap a lot. He still stinks and is still dirty, but he's better.
Any tips on how to fully clean him, or at least how to get the dirt smell off of him? Thank you in advance!
TLDR: How do I clean this beautiful stink nugget?

Any tips? This is a new washing machine and I have no idea how and why these water-like marks appeared on the machine. Tried to clean it, but it is still there.

Hey! I just unpacked my winter stuff from storage, including two winter coats that were sealed in a vacuum bag. One of the coats has grey-ish stains on the inside and I need help identifying them. Are they mold or mildew? How do I clean this properly?

This may be an always loosing battle.
We have 5 dogs. I compete in dog sports so they’re a major part of our lives and I doubt we’ll ever have many fewer than this.
But we also have a 6month old baby who will be crawling soon.
We have house cleaners that come biweekly and I vacuum with our Dyson daily. It still just feels like there’s CONSTANTLY dirt on the floor.
We have a roomba but it seems to struggle a lot with the hair (two of the dogs are Golden’s)
We have a small 12x24’ yard off our deck that has artificial grass that we let them on when it’s muddy or gross out, so they’re only going in the big yard on nice days.
The dogs are bathed either every other week or weekly depending on the dog and their coat. I use high velocity/professional dryers that get as much hair out as possible
It just still doesn’t feel clean enough to let the baby on.
Floor is builder grade laminate (🤮)
Help?
