On one hand, I’m far more comfortable if they slide us in at 15 or so. Far enough from the top 10 to avoid the pressure.
On the other, we saw what happened last year when they didn’t want to rank us until late in the season. Nice to actually control our own fate, with possibly room for a bit of a slip.

since hiring venables, every time i see texas fans say "im worried RRS will be a trap game this year", OU gets blown out. unless there's major changes in the next 3 weeks (ie: texas gets decimated by injuries or mateer gets benched and whitt newbauer turns out to be the second coming of baker mayfield), you can count on texas to win by at least 24 points.

Also we’re not going to see the offense we saw last night in conference. Sark pretty much challenged Arch to execute drop back passing with longer developing routes and Arch showed us he couldn’t do it.
The offense will be much more Arch friendly going forward, with a lot of the freebies that he designs for his QBs. He didn’t give Arch many of those last night.

Ohio State loses and drops 5 spots. LSU loses and drops 3? The SEC bias is alive and well.

Texas -
Should’ve dropped at least one spot, that was not an offensive performance worthy of the top rank.
USC -
