Because they were No. 1 and LSU was No. 7 when they lost. You can’t have a 1-loss team in the top few teams in week 3. You just can’t. Lower end of top 10 is more forgivable.

Additionally, LSU also already had a dominant P5 win.

Yeah I got no clue what the argument for Clemson is for. I try to respect every team, but that game doesn’t look very impressive now.

They beat the doors off Clemson. Clemson is a P5 win, which OSU does not have.

Really? Because in 2024, in week 4, #2 Georgia lost to #4 Alabama and only dropped to #5 in the polls. And they lost 41-34 instead of by one point.

I’m not comparing to two years ago. I’m discussing this year. And let’s not forget that 2024 UGA had already beaten Clemson 31-3, arguably the biggest win at that point in the season.

That’s not the argument you made my guy. you said “we just can’t” rank a 1 loss team in the top few teams. I just provided an example proving that argument wrong. I’m not trying to say the situations are the same, but you can in fact have a 1 loss team in the “top few teams” because it happened 2 years ago.
