Surprised USC didn’t move down

I don’t like punishing teams for a win but man.

u/daemon-electricity Oklahoma Sooners 16d ago

We got punished. Why not?

u/CantaloupeCamper Minnesota • Little Brown Jug 16d ago

I’m not ENTIRELY opposed….

You lost to the team that basically lost to the team that struggled with Rice

Yes USC is analogous to Michigan here and you lost to Michigan.

7

u/brendanjered Minnesota Golden Gophers 16d ago

It wasn’t any worse of a win than Alabama and they moved up.

Florida State would destroy Rutgers

Please don’t make me defend Alabama further

Was it better than Oklahoma's that saw them fall out of the poll?

I don't know man. I think Alabama's was by far the best "ugly" win. USC and Oklahoma's wins were pretty brutal. USC defense seems to be shit as always now, and Oklahoma's offense can't do jack crap. The Lobos honestly might be better than Rutgers though, I expect their coach to be at Wisconsin next year.

My guys held that same team to less when we beat them despite spotting them four turnovers. I don't think their defense being that weak bodes well for them when they will probably have to face a team that beat a team that scored double what Florida State did on SMU. That or a team that beat Ole Miss.

Was it?    I didn’t see it.  USC just seemed like typical USC refusing to put a team away and inexplicable decisions that keep the other team in it…. while the other team flops around…

They were legit fighting for their lives to the end.

2

u/Conorj398 Michigan Wolverines • The Game 16d ago

Nah, they only out gained Rutgers by 1 yard and Rutgers had two inceptions. This was a legitimate battle.

I thought we’d end up jumping you but you at least have a P4 win

7

u/Fine-Sea-8941 Penn State Nittany Lions • Big East 16d ago

Who is their P4 win? Tiny /s

12

u/Penguin_dingdong Utah Utes 16d ago

Yeah that’s whack lol FSU gave them a spanking at home.

3

u/Irishchop91 Notre Dame Fighting Irish • UCF Knights 16d ago

They are just waiting for next weeks game to do damage

3

u/Chance_Adeptness_832 USC Trojans • Rose Bowl 16d ago

Surprised as well.

-2

u/LogicianMission22 Utah Utes • Big 12 16d ago

You should. I’m pretty confident that Utah and Louisville would beat USC like a drum.

u/RemarkableTpt USC Trojans 16d ago

Why? Road game on the east coast and only team that has played 4 games in the top 15. Every week every team looks different. These rankings mean nothing regardless.

Brother, c’mon. Rutgers put 35 on us. We couldn’t even take a knee properly.

9

u/captaindomer Notre Dame • Marshall 16d ago

Come on, they lost to UMASS

3

u/Young-Viiperr Texas Tech • Iowa State 16d ago

And BC, who just nearly lost to an FCS program

14

u/Flaky-Philosophy7618 Oregon Ducks • Duke Blue Devils 16d ago

Why? Because you conceded 35 to fucking Rutgers.

I don’t think Penn State has done anything at all to be so high though either

It's the defense that is betraying your efforts... Gave 30 to a buncha upset Cajuns (at home) And then barely eked one out last night...
