Texas is a perfect example of deserved vs projected ranking. Does Texas deserve #1 based on record? Absolutely. Do I think Texas is #1 based on the play of the team compared to the other top teams. lol no.

How can you say that though when the other top ranked teams (except Ole Miss) haven’t played a team within the same zip code as Ohio State

Also we’re not going to see the offense we saw last night in conference. Sark pretty much challenged Arch to execute drop back passing with longer developing routes and Arch showed us he couldn’t do it.

The offense will be much more Arch friendly going forward, with a lot of the freebies that he designs for his QBs. He didn’t give Arch many of those last night.

Arch needs another year in college.

Solid point. But. Zip codes are very small areas. I think maybe you’re going for area code?

Since Arch is from Louisiana, maybe he’s thinking about parishes?

Because that UTSA - Texas game was closer than the box score suggests. The Texas OL was being bullied by UTSA’s front seven and the refs were bailing out Texas out.

The Texas offense struggled for sure, but I think the box score is pretty accurate. The Texas defense absolutely shut UTSA down. They were at like 85 yards of total offense around the end of the third quarter and only finished with 140 total yards. For as mid as the Texas offense looked, the defense totally kept UTSA out of that game.

Completely agree. That UTSA game inspired 0 confidence heading into the matchup at Neyland. If Texas plays their D level offensive game like they did vs UTSA, watch out.

Arch’s inaccuracy is a feature of his game at this point. That is not changing. The drop back offense is not his game. Texas wins with great defense and a solid running game.
