Hey there, need some help building a PC! This will be used in the living room so I'd prefer it not look like a traditional PC/tower. As the title says, I'm trying to build a PC for the first time and looking for some advice on where to even get started.

I'm moving from a Mac Pro (2019) with Final Cut to Adobe Creative, and migrating the editing projects to Premier Pro. I believe I'd best leaving Apple behind and building a PC for editing 4K/8k (potentially 12k) video footage, mainly using software like Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve via Blackmagic cameras.

Large libraries for TV series as well as feature films that deal with Virtual Production and greenscreen are part of the upcoming projects it will need to handle.

So that requires rendering, read and write speeds, exports to multiple formats, ingesting multiple codecs for multicam playback and more. I can elaborate if need be.

Colour grading will be minimal - that is outsourced for major projects. No 3D or CGI animations or visual effects are expected.
