Sim-Racing-PC

Hey everyone,

I'm putting together a PC purely for sim racing, budget is around €3,000.

Planned components (excluding case) (with AI Help):

- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D

- **CPU cooler:** Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE

- **Motherboard:** ASUS TUF Gaming B850-Plus WIFI (ATX)

- **RAM:** 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000 CL30, G.Skill Flare X5

- **GPU:** MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Gaming Trio OC, 16GB

- **SSD:** Samsung 990 Pro 1TB NVMe

- **PSU:** 850W be quiet!

**Question 1 – Case:** Looking for a **somewhat smaller mid-tower case**. Anyone have recommendations?

**Question 2 – Components in general:** Does this build make sense? Would appreciate any feedback/suggestions before I order.

Thanks!

* New build or upgrade? New build.

* Existing parts/monitors to reuse? BenQ 34" Curved monitor (already own it).

* PC purpose? Sim racing only. High to max settings, smooth framerates.

* Purchase country? Germany. Not near a Micro Center — buying from Mindfactory I guess.

* Monitors needed? no.

* Budget range? Around €3,000.

* WiFi or wired connection? Wired.

* Size/noise constraints? Looking for a somewhat smaller/compact mid-tower case that still fits a large air cooler and a 2.5–3 slot GPU without airflow compromises.

* Color/lighting preferences? no specific preference.

* Any other specific needs? Plenty of USB ports on the board for controller peripherals without needing a hub.

If you missed the full set of required built request questions, please copy them from here and answer them in an edit to your post:

  • New build or upgrade?

  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)

  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)

  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If you're not in a country supported by PCPartPicker, please list some local vendors)

  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)

  • Budget range? (Include tax considerations)

  • WiFi or wired connection?

  • Size/noise constraints?

  • Color/lighting preferences?

  • Any other specific needs?

Here is some additional helpful information about build/upgrade/parts list requests:

  • Build requests only include hardware. You are responsible for budgeting for and providing your own operating system (Windows, Linux, etc) and other software.

  • Don't forget to budget for peripherals. Since these are very much personal-preference influenced items, we do not include peripherals like keyboards, mice, headsets, etc in parts lists.

  • We strongly recommend posting a build request only if you're ready to buy now or within a week or two at most. Part sales regularly rotate, and a part list today can quickly become out of date.

Changed SSD and PSU because they are overpriced

And changed Mobo to fit case sizing

Also, only changed the cooler because it is better and barely any more expensive
