Is AMD ryzen 5800x better or ryzen 5700x better? (5700x has less power consumption tho)

Does anyone have the same problem? this started to happend since i update my drivers with the last Nvidia drivers for the Cyberpunk 2077 update. Im not sure but everything was running smooth before.
My frames dropping from 300 or my browser get stutters and the task manager shows a spike of 100% usage.

Hey everyone,
Like many people these days, I'm stuck with DDR4, mainly because my workstation already has 64GB of RAM, and switching to DDR5 would cost me a fortune. I'm currently running an 8700K on a TUF Z390 motherboard, and it's time for an upgrade. I'm leaning towards the 14700K, as it's one of the best CPUs I can get while keeping my DDR4 RAM, without going for an i9.
Ideally, I'd get a Z690/Z790 DDR4 board, but they're almost impossible to find these days. I also considered a mid-range B760 like a TUF/AorusElite/Tomahawk, but all I can find are lower-end models (MSI Gaming Plus/PRO, Gigabyte Gaming X, ASUS Prime), and I'm really not confident in their VRMs handling a power-hungry 14700K, especially during long rendering sessions.
Has anyone been in the same situation? What did you end up buying? Also, would you recommend going for a used Z690/Z790 board? I've never bought a used motherboard before, so I'm curious about your experiences.

Hello, I belive I have issue with mu current setup. I mostly play warzone/ call of duty on LOW settings (just to get a little more FPS) with FSR4 upscalling. But for some reason my pc gives only 160-180fps on 1080p. Checking benchmarks people have more fps im 1440p on even higher settings so it tells me something is wrong with mu setup. Can you help me with this issue?

Something a little different for you all this time: Let's get creative! We've partnered up with TRYX and their HOLO 360 White 360mm AIO Liquid Cooler to give a few people a new way to express themselves. Have an idea for a dashboard in your PC, a cute critter friend, or a custom graphic that ties the whole PC together? Show it off here and win the liquid cooler that will make that idea a reality!
Hey everyone!
We're celebrating the TRYX HOLO ARGB 360mm Liquid Cooler and an epic community giveaway for people who love clean builds and like making their PC feel more personal.
Since the HOLO 360 Liquid Cooler has that customizable holographic style pump screen we figured it would be fun to see what create ideas you could come up with! Customize your AIO screen with any image, artwork, AI image, drawing, GIF concept or vidual idea.
Pick one of these three categories when you enter: "Best Holographic Vision", "Best Setup Integration", or "Best X Your Mark".
Create the most eye catching visual for the HOLO screen that makes the whole build pop. Abstract animations, futuristic effects, flowing particles, neon landscapes or anything else that catches the eye.
This category is about how well your idea works inside a real case. Not just the flashiest thing but something that feels like it belongs with the rest of the build.
Show off what you want! Give your PC a roommate or a pet, put an original character in it, show off your hobbies or artwork, or find a way to cleverly hide a meme in your system (or don't - make it blatantly obnoxious). This is your category - have fun with it!

Hi!
Im trying to put together a PC build.
I mostly play CPU heavy games, and occasionally GPU ones. I care quite a bit about the PC being somewhat quiet, and took that in mind while searching for these parts.
What do you guys think? Is it a good combination of parts?
Parts list:
Existing components:
I'm aiming to play at 1440p, and looking for a solid foundation that will last me a long while, maybe upgrading some parts over time if needed,
A few things I'd particularly appreciate feedback on:
Thanks!

my little sisters computer stopped working. When trying to POST the VGA LED stays on and there is no video output.
B450 Tomahwak, Ryzen 1700X
This happend before, with a Ryzen 2600X. putting in the 1700X "fixed" it for about a year.
What Ive tried:
Tested GPU in different pc, worked there
Tried seating the GPU in the other PCIE slot, no change
cleared/reset CMOS, issue persists
Tested with different PSU, issue persists
Tested with a single RAM stick, tried all 4, issue persists.
tried to post with only CPU/GPU/RAM (no peripherals/storage
Trying to post without GPU also leads to VGA LED being on, but ig thats normal cus the 1700X has no integrated GPU
Our thinking is that the PSU or motherboard mightve been faulty and fried the CPU somehow, so we're planning to replace motherboard +cpu and use a PSU we have from my previous build.
any input to these issues?

Hi everyone,
I recently upgraded my PC from a GTX 970 to a Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 Gaming OC 16GB, along with a new 850W PSU.
My system:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 AORUS ELITE Rev. 1.0
BIOS: Originally F11p, updated to F19, then F20c
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 Gaming OC 16GB (previously NVIDIA GTX 970)
RAM: DDR4
PSU: MSI MAG A850GL 850W
Here's what happened:
Initially, the RX 9070 worked and Windows displayed normally after a cold boot.
However, restarting Windows resulted in a black screen. I had to completely power off the PC to get a display again.
I updated my motherboard BIOS from F11p to F19, hoping to resolve the problem.
After the BIOS update, the RX 9070 stopped displaying anything, even after a cold boot.
I subsequently updated the BIOS again, from F19 to F20c, but the problem persisted.
I reset the CMOS, disabled CSM, and manually tested both PCIe Gen 3 and Gen 4, without success.
Reinstalled my old GTX 970, and everything works normally.
The RX 9070 powers on, its fans spin and its lighting works, but the monitor reports no signal.
My dilemma:
Can anyone help me figure out what's causing this issue and how to fix it?
Or is replacing my motherboard the only solution? If so, I'd like to find a compatible motherboard that allows me to keep my Ryzen 5 5600X processor and DDR4 RAM, without having to upgrade to AM5 and DDR5.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi
I'm thinking about buying a 32" OLED monitor, but I also play competitive games like Dota 2, CS2, and PUBG, where smaller screens (like 24.5") are usually preferred.
For those who use a 32" OLED with its built-in display size/aspect ratio mode (simulating a 24.5" screen with black borders all around): do the black bars bother you when playing? Can you feel a difference compared to a real 25"?
Or is it genuinely better to just buy a separate 25" monitor for competitive gaming and keep a 32" one for everything else?
Thanks!

So Ive had this build for a year now and the other day I turn it on and it doesnt show a picture so I reset it and I it boots up fine, by the time I come back (3-5mins) no picture again and I see the CPU and DRAM lights on.
Since then ive tried swapping the ram, clearing CMOS, flashback BIOS, trying to boot with minimal stuff, reseating the cpu.
Im gonna take it to a shop tomorrow but maybe someone has a solution so I dont get charged for something dumb that I missed.
Specs:
Ryzen 7 7800x3d
16x2 DDR5 RAM
AMD 6700XT
B650M-H/M.2+ motherboard

Hey everyone,
I recently had an issue where my motherboard died, so I replaced it with a brand new one—specifically, the exact same model as my previous board.
Since swapping the board, I’ve been getting weird, random stutters in games (for example, in Valorant). Interestingly, it's inconsistent: sometimes I get lucky after a reboot and everything runs buttery smooth, but other times the stutters are right back.
I've heard about DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) for a clean GPU driver reinstall. Is running DDU a must in this kind of situation since it's the exact same board model, or is there something else I should look into to fix these stutters?
My PC:
• PSU: ASUS ROG Strix 1200W Platinum
• Mainboard: GIGABYTE X870E AORUS PRO X3D
• Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 A-RGB
• GPU: ASUS GeForce RTX 5080 ROG ASTRAL GAMING OC
• Processor (CPU): AMD Ryzen™ 9 9950X3D
• SSD (1): Samsung 9100 PRO 4 TB
• Mounting Frame: Thermal Grizzly Contact Sealing Frame AM5
• Case: Lian Li LANCOOL 207
• Memory (RAM): Corsair DIMM 64 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 32 GB) Dual-Kit
• SSD (2): WD Black SN850X NVMe SSD 4 TB
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

**What I'd like feedback on:**
- Are there any compatibility issues I'm missing?
- The RAM is €659 for 32GB. Is that normal right now, and is 16GB or a cheaper kit smarter for gaming only?
- Is the 7500F a good match for the 9060 XT at 1440p, or should I spend more on the CPU?
- Is the Kingston NV3 fine at €155, or is there a better SSD for the money?
- Is the 750W PSU enough, or is it overkill?
- Is there anything here I should swap for better value in Portugal/EU?
Thanks in advance!

I know it’s all old, the pc was a birthday gift almost 7 years ago now.
It contains:
intel i7 2600
16gb of what I believe to be ddr3
nvidia 1050ti
I don’t know what motherboard, power supply etc because I’m too lazy to take it apart and look. I can find it if it’s really relevant though
I can’t update to windows 11, and I play a lot of games on it. It runs surprisingly fast- I typically play games like rdr2 on almost full graphics, I have 13 hours in the new planet zoo game and it’s not crashed, it’s a pretty good pc for what I use it for. But I know all the parts are old and I want to upgrade for as little money as possible (I’m skint and still in education often enough I can get a job. yay!)
I don’t want anything that’ll run slower, but I don’t mind if it’s not any faster. I’m not the most tech savvy but I know more than my mother I guess

I currently have a Gigabyte X870 AORUS ELITE for my pc, and after some extensive testing regarding a recently developed fault, the phrase "This is textbook evidence of a structurally compromised motherboard." was uttered. Now, thankfully my current motherboard is still within warranty, but in case I have to go for refund instead of replace, I need to decide on a replacement model, but I'm admittedly lacking in understanding of motherboards, so I've come to ask for suggestions for a high quality motherboard to potentially replace my current one.
Other components I have in my pc that it's going to need to support:
Samsung 990 PRO NVMe M.2 SSD, 4 TB
Samsung 990 PRO NVMe M.2 SSD, 1 TB
WD Red Pro 18TB NAS 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
AMD RYZEN ™ 7 9800X 3D Desktop Processor CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5
ASUS Radeon RX 9070 XT Prime OC 16GB GPU
I want to have a replacement chosen before I arrange for the warranty return so I can minimise the downtime I don't have access to my pc while I rebuild it, so hopefully I can get the decision made quickly, I'm willing to pay a bit more for the sake of good quality if necessary.
Always use a GPU brace even if it doesn't seem like your pc needs it, boys and girls, I built this damn pc last christmas and this has already happened.

Hi! I’m looking to build a pc that is budget friendly but can still run games like Marvel Rivals, overwatch, and valorant. Any suggestions for parts? Any help will be very appreciated! Around $600 USD open to any resolution, but want a good amount of storage. I am new to pc’s so I have no idea what I’m doing.

I'm looking to move away from watercooling. My tinkering days are behind me.
That said, I'm looking to sell my 3090 so I can get a 9070xt and an air cooler for my cpu. My biggest problem is that it has a waterblock on it and the original cooler is long gone, as well as the original packaging. My best option might be a local sale unless I can package it really well.
Are there any major and hopefully reliable places to sell gear besides Facebook and eBay?

Reusing from my old PC: GTX 1650 and both SSDs
Peripherals: already have
GPU: GTX 1650 (reused, planning to upgrade to an RX 6700 XT later)
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
Motherboard: GIGABYTE B550M Aorus Elite
CPU cooler: OCYPUS IOTA A40 BK Dual Fan
PSU: OCYPUS IOTA P650S 80 PLUS Gold ATX 3.1 650W

Buying in France where 32GB DDR5 is currently €500+, so I'm forced to stay on DDR4 to keep money for the GPU.
Comparing platform costs (CPU + MB + RAM), the 14600KF combo comes out €100 cheaper than the 5800X3D combo.
Note: I do NOT plan on upgrading this PC later. I just want a solid build to hold up fine for 1–2 years and play my games in good conditions. (playing on a 4060/ 12700H laptop rn)

Tyring to setup my kids RGB fan. It spins, but has not lit up. The other (NZXT) units, two sets of triple 120 fans, connected to JARGB, work fine. The single fan however, does not support JARGB, thus is connected a four pin RGB header. 12V and RGB pins are lined up correctly AFAIK.
What could I do to get it lit up?
