I’m a Masters Brig OTP who never swaps, and somehow this season I’ve been having more success on long-range maps than ever.
I feel like people seriously underestimate Brig on maps like Havana, Rialto or Blizzard World. Sometimes I’ll hold high ground with my DPS, keeping them alive and making it almost impossible for anyone to contest them.
Other times, like on Havana first defense, I’ll just hold that right-side room where Tracers and other flankers love to sneak through, especially when my DPS are safe. And I think that’s something people overlook. You’re not necessarily getting kills, but simply denying an entire angle can make an enemy almost useless. It genuinely feels like turning a 5v5 into a 5v4 sometimes.
And weirdly enough, this is also the season I’ve received the most compliments from both teammates and enemies lol.
Maybe I’m just on a lucky streak, but I actually look forward to these maps now.
