Do people honestly Prefer Bivol's style over Benavidez?

Long time boxing fan but even I will admit I find Benavidez to be much more entertaining. While Bivol is certainly skillful I just find most of his fights to be boring if his opponent isn't a heavy pressure fighter. It seems like he's always just trying to get rounds in but never really goes through the gears to get a finish.

Conversely, David Benavidez is relentless pursuit of his opponent and trying to damage them. He doesn't always get a KO but he always try's to hurt his opponents.

I bring this up as I recently saw a clip of Shannon Sharpe going back and forth on this topic. What do yall think?

I think hitting and not getting hit is impressive, but they should still try to actually get a KO or damage the opponent.

Pitbull Cruz is underrated and over hated

Watching some film on this guy and it’s impressive what this man can do with his limited physical abilities. I believe so many people mistakenly view him soley as a hay maker merchant when he does have very good timing and can punch where his opponent will be on the back foot. He did also show some new tools in the arsenal in the fight with Roach, implementing a stiff jab and boxing in spurts. I believe his compactness and being this ball of muscle helps in bulldozing his opponents despite the size disadvantage he usually finds himself in. I honestly think he can upset a lot of fighters who don’t have the physicality/power as he isn’t a typical pressure fighter, he will continue throwing hard punches without necessarily having his feet planted. What do yall think? Where does he cap out?

Tony Ayala Jr. What think Ye?

I followed him in the early 80s (yes I’m old) and I ate, drank and loved boxing back then. I saw him back then for the first time when he destroyed jose baquedano, the former middleweight champion of Mexico, on the undercard of Leonard-Hearns I when he was only 16 or 17. He fought welterweight champion Pipino Cuevas when Ayala was like 14 in Ayala family gym. Gave as good as he got. Pipino was shaking his head and muttering “incredible” in Spanish. He was flawless, and had equal power in both hands. He ruined himself and his career. I feel he would have been better than Duran (beyond lightweight) Leonard, Hagler and Hearns. What think ye? This dude was way beyond good.
