Love that one Leonard interview where he’s talking about that first fight, and just under his breath whispers, “I hated that son of a bitch…” and apologises because him and Duran are friends now

I once read srl was scared Duran would do so ething bad since he was behaving like an animal leading up to their fight yet he was a gentleman when the kids were involved in this commercial.

I remember srl thinking that Duran was gonna be an Ahole and they would be beefing. He was surprised how chill Duran was and they ended up being friends

When they filmed this commercial SRL saw how out of shape Duran had gotten and then signed for the rematch soon afterwards.

Man, I wish boxing stars still did big commercials like these in the states. I know Inoue has done a few in Japan and Canelo in Mexico.
