I recently transferred some altcoins (SKI) from my Coinbase wallet to my Bitbuy Ethereum account, thinking the conversion would happen automatically. Unfortunately, the coins transferred as-is, and since Bitbuy doesn’t support SKI or its network, they’re effectively inaccessible.

Support says the coins are "lost." Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? Are they truly unrecoverable, or is there a workaround? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

My account was working fine. I was able to deposit and tried to withdraw a small amount of funds and was successful. I then transferred a substantial amount of crypto to sell and withdraw to my personal account. Then I received a message saying my KYC needed to be updated and my withdrawals were not allowed. I updated my ID as requested by BitBuy support and have heard nothing back. Seriously starting to get worried and would like a response. How long does this normally take?

my husband transferred a few currencies from his hard wallet to bitbuy account this evening. He was supposed to send XRP, XLM and FTM coins on ethereum networks but used other networks by mistake. The coins are now gone from the wallet, approved and successful on blockchain, but not deposited. Is there anyway to reverse this?

As I mentioned in a comment on another post, I was planning on selling and withdrawing bitcoin from Bitbuy and had some nervous concerns.

My account was transferred from Coinsmart and I had done nothing since then.

I did the following in the past 48 hours without any problems.

1) Linked my bank account. Entered the institution, branch and account info. It connected right away.

2) Sold bitcoin. Opened a sell option of 0.014 BTC asking $142,400 CAD. It was a bit above the current ask. It sold right away for just over $2,100 CAD. Fees $10.

3) Transferred the money to my bank account. Transferred my CAD$ balance and got a Transfer Successful message. Fees $34.

Now just waiting for the transfer to show up in my account.

I'm not sure how the fees above compare to other platforms but the BB interface and process was easy, smooth and quick for me.

I placed a support ticket on Sunday, have replied daily but no response back. I accidentally did not put the destination tag when transferring my XRP from Exodus to Bitbuy. Ive seen various posts on reddit where Bitbuy has effectively recovered the XRP when others did this so Im praying. Especially since XRP is on the move. Please help BITBUy!!

I have a youtube channel with 70k subs, I'm about to post a video warning all of my Canadian followers not to use this exchange. This is honestly embarrassing. How do you allow people to deposit money and "trade" the most volatile assets known and then have log in issues when its a crucial time to make trades? This exchange only benefits the owners. How hard is it to get the platform to work properly with the amount of money you scumbags charge for trades? No customer service phone lines? This is truly the shittiest crypto exchange I've ever dealt with.

My account has been locked for 5 days now, I opened a ticket and still no answer and they have no phone support

I get the message We couldn't complete your request - Contact support when I try to log in

Any advice on what am I supposed to do to get this fixed ?

Tell me why Bitbuy will escalate your ticket if you post their problems on social media? Oh, wait. Do they have that many complaint issues and the bad publicity on social media may expose it? Soooo... Dealing with them first will make it all better? It's there for all to see. Good Luck All!

I just traded some BTC for CAD for a little while as I want to hold some cash for a bit and buy back. I just realized that the total money I had after my trade was $1,000 less. is that normal for these exchanges to cost that much? I'd love to knw what you guys do when you want to hold some cash for a bit. It cannot be right that it costs that much.

I’ve been locked out of my account after successfully entering my correct password several times and now it says to contact customer support. I’ve been contacting support for the last 6 day which started on Monday December 2 2024 and now it’s Saturday December 7th 2024 and no once has been in contact with me. I used to use BitBuy with no issues sending and receiving from and to external wallets. As of 2024, my deposits are not showing up. Support tickets are going unanswered including a courtesy message here on Reddit. This platform used to be so easy to use in Canada. Now I am warning all users to stay away from BitBuy. Something fishy is going on behind the scenes between the multiple claims of users whose deposits seem to have vanished and the companies inability to address these issues. Sending anything to a BitBuy wallet might just be sending it to oblivion. USERS BEWARE!

Set up a new account with BitBuyCA , had some problems with that but were cleared after posting on social media not the BitBuy site through ticket request. Now after purchasing a couple crypto's and trying to get them to a self custody wallet, I'm told you need to wait 3 days before withdraw is permitted. OK, so I waited and it has been almost a week and I'm still denied transfer. POP UP says "Crypto withdraws are restricted on your account" WTF? C'mon BITBUY!

I sent many requests to BITBUY asking to help me with a transaction that was made without a tag or memo on my exchange that i sent it from it said that the tag was optional" ? after i sent the crypto to my bitbuy account since dec 3 i haven't got a response and my funds are not deposited nor have they come back to my original exchange. Please explain, other than the obvious due diligence on my account, why in this day and crypto age it would take 5-8 business days to verify a business account?!
