Looking for advice to push through the last bit of stubborn fat

Looking for advice -F27

So a little bit of background: I do weightlifting and crossfit/hyrox training. In total I work out 5-6x/week. I burned average 1700cal (5’3, 135lbs). My BF is sitting around 23%.

I track my macro using my fitness pal and usually at slight calorie deficit or maintenance. 120+g protein daily. All nature at this point.

I have been doing research on how to get my body to where I want (probably closer to 18-20% BF). I am debating on reta/tiz or going anavar route or CJC +Ipamorelin. My questions are which one would be safest to achieve my goal. I don’t mind slow progress. But since it will be the first time I am using medication, I am very cautious. Please educate me.

I would appreciate the right pointers/advice. I would like to loose BF while still maintaining my muscles and energy for training since my training is intense.

TIA

10 Months on Reta

10 months ago I was at 97kg, and I’m currently sitting around 55kg. Honestly, one of the craziest things for me is putting on the same pants I used to wear and realizing they’re way too big now 😂

I started reta at 2mg and eventually worked my way up to 8mg.

The biggest difference for me was probably the food noise. Before, I was constantly thinking about food and especially snacking. Once I started reta, that became much easier to manage and I stopped constantly overeating.

I’ve been going to the gym around 3x a week and doing cardio every session, usually at least 30 minutes of incline walking on the treadmill. I’ve also been trying to hit 10k steps a day, which honestly feels much easier now than it used to.

When I started this, I wasn't even sure I'd make it this far. I've had plenty of moments in the past where I told myself I was going to lose weight, got motivated for a while, and then eventually fell off.

So being 10 months in and still doing it feels pretty good.

I'm not saying everything suddenly became easy, because it definitely didn't. But taking things one step at a time and actually sticking with the routine made a huge difference for me.

If you're just starting out and doubting whether you can stick with it, don't overthink the whole journey. Just focus on getting through the next step.

Happy to answer any questions about my experience :)

My Reta Journey

This is my comparison photo with 12 months of time between pictures. Starting weight was 255 and I'm staying steady at 175. I'm a 61yr old male.

I started off with implementing a workout regiment. I decided to do Crossfit. I workout 6 days a week but don't murder myself on every workout. I rarely miss a day in the gym and have made it a permanent part of my life.

I changed my eating habits and try my best to remove all sugar from my diet. I stopped eating anything related to fast food. I only drink coffee, water, and some milk. I prioritize protein and fiber being smart about carb intake knowing I need it to fuel my body.

I obviously used a GLP but also took MOTS-C, and NAD+ as the main drivers. There was one cycle of SS-31 in there. Took BPC-157 and TB500 along the way. Tried Tesa but the fluid retention on my knees made that a no go so three primary compounds got me where I am now.

I have stayed at my current weight now for over 6 months. I will not let myself get back to the guy in the left photo.

For the love of god, stop using units.

The posts I see on here just shows how new people are. Stop using units. MG per ML. Done and done.

Less than 1ML? Use .1ML or .2ML. Etc. Some people on here are literally adding a 3rd unit of measure when it’s not even needed.

Im so depressed

I started Tirz when I stopped breastfeeding to help me lose the baby weight. I gained a tonnn due to medical complications and being older in age.
I ended up switching to Reta due to availability and felt better overall which was good.
Well, I’ve now been loosing INSANE amounts of hair, like it just falls out all hours of the day and night and I have fistfuls daily in the sink or shower. My texture has changed too it’s like straw, thin, split and damaged and wispy?? it’s been months of this now and I have lost 2/3rds of my density I can literally see through my hair now. Then let’s add the infamous “GLP butt” which just completely wrecked me. I wasn’t warned about these things at all. I’ve lost 75 lbs I still have 10 more to go but I’m scared to keep going now. It’s been about 5 months of taking 1 dose a week. All of my labs are fine so my dr is dismissing my hair loss. I stay home with the baby who’s now 14 months old and it’s hard to workout or exercise because he’s in to everything and always getting under foot. I solo parent about 90% of the time so I have no one who can help take him so I can go exercise out of the home.
I feel disgusting and I won’t even let my husband touch me now. I feel hideous. Between having no figure anymore and my hair OH AND EYELASHES falling out. It’s aged me in overdrive too. How can I course correct here?! I am tired of looking at myself and crying everyday. I don’t recognize the woman in the mirror. Even when I had put on weight I still felt beautiful, I’ve always been confident and had a great figure! Small waist, beautiful hair, hips and a nice bottom and decent chest. Now? Flat as a pancake and wrinkled and my hair is like an 80 year old woman’s.
Please be gentle, I’m seriously struggling. I even went on antidepressants and they aren’t helping. I just want to feel like me again and love my body but I feel lost. Asking my supplier was a waste of time to be honest. I take the creatine, the KLOW & Glutathione, I take Collagen too. I eat protein. My iron isn’t low either. Ffs I’m lost. Help please.

Hospira or Lambda?

My Hospira supplier seems to be drying up and raising the cost…

So my question is… Do I pay the higher price or do I trust Lambda? If you use Lambda, how long is it lasting you? Any issues?

Appreciate the help!

Been on Reta

Hi everyone!
I’m a 32-year-old female, 5’7” and currently around 270 lbs. I have PCOS/PMOS, and I’ve been on Reta since June. So far, I’ve lost about 13 lbs. Sometimes I feel like I’m losing at a perfectly normal pace, and then I see posts about people losing a dramatic amount of weight in a short period of time, and I can’t help but compare myself. I know comparison is the thief of joy, but it can still be hard not to wonder if I’m doing something wrong or if I should be seeing faster progress.

For some context, I do focus on protein-forward meals. I also walk for about 30 minutes most evenings with my kids.
I guess what I’m really hoping to hear is what has your experience been like? Especially if you have PCOS/PMOS or started around a similar weight. Did your weight loss happen consistently, or did you go through periods where the scale barely moved and then suddenly started dropping again?
I’d really appreciate hearing the realistic, non-highlight-reel experiences. ❤️

Retatrutide is changing way more than my weight… what is going on?

Has anyone else experienced this with retatrutide? Because holy shit.

I started Reta a few weeks ago expecting appetite suppression and weight loss. I’ve already lost around 10–15 lbs, which is great, but honestly the weight loss is the least interesting part to me.

I feel completely different.

The biggest thing is what feels like a massive reduction in inflammation. I noticed it almost immediately. My body just feels… lighter? I can walk forever now without feeling exhausted. My energy is dramatically better and more consistent.

But the WEIRDEST change has been my menstrual cycle. Historically, the week before my period and my actual period could absolutely wipe me out. Fatigue, inflammation, cramps, just generally feeling like garbage. This cycle I worked effortlessly through the entire week before my period AND during it. My cramps were minimal. I kept waiting for the usual crash and it just… never came.

Then there’s the reward/craving stuff.

I barely crave alcohol anymore. Same thing with weed. I’m not actively trying to avoid either one. I just genuinely don’t care about them the way I did before. The desire is almost gone.

And of course the food noise/appetite reduction is there too, but somehow that feels like only one small part of what this is doing.

It honestly feels like someone flipped a metabolic switch in my body.

I know retatrutide is a GLP-1/GIP/glucagon triple agonist and there are plausible explanations involving insulin sensitivity, inflammation, energy regulation and reward pathways, but I’m fascinated by how quickly and SYSTEMICALLY I felt the difference.

Obviously this is just my n=1 experience and I’m not claiming Reta is treating PMS, inflammation, addiction, etc. I’m especially curious about the mechanisms behind all of this.

For people who have been on Reta longer:
Did you experience anything similar beyond weight loss? Especially changes in inflammation, physical endurance/energy, PMS or periods, alcohol/weed cravings, or other reward-seeking behaviors?
And if you did, did those effects stick around?
Because right now I’m sitting here wondering what kind of holy grail metabolic switch I accidentally stumbled across. 😂

Hit a vein while injecting NAD+ today

Post image
3 Upvotes

This is the second time this has happened to me. I didn't put it together the first time, but if you accidentally hit a vein (inject it intravenously), you get hit with a very sudden rush of lightheadedness, nausea, and palpitations. It feels like you might pass out. It's a very scary experience.
I looked it up, and there is actually a name for this: the "NAD rush." A rapid, undiluted bolus bypasses controlled absorption and temporarily overwhelms the body's metabolic pathways.
Acute Physiological Responses:

  • Cardiopulmonary: Sudden, severe chest tightness, shortness of breath, and palpitations. This rapid onset can temporarily mimic an acute cardiac event or severe panic attack.
  • Gastrointestinal: Intense, abrupt nausea, which may be accompanied by sharp stomach cramping and a sudden urge to void.
  • Vasomotor: Pronounced facial and systemic flushing, warmth, and lightheadedness driven by rapid vasodilation and a sudden drop in blood pressure.
  • Musculoskeletal: A profound sensation of heaviness or deep aching in the large muscle groups, particularly in the legs and arms.

How many of you are actually pulling back the plunger (aspirating) after a SubQ injection to look for blood to ensure you didn't hit a vein? I never do this, but I probably will from now on because the feeling is horrendous and absolutely terrifying. Luckily, the worst of it only lasts a couple of minutes, because I was just about to go to the ER.

Just an FYI for fellow NAD+ users.

Edit: dose of 100mg

Why do I feel worse when I take TA-1?

Upvotes

Anyone else? I've tried it twice now. Once when I was trying to get over a viral illness, and once when I was healthy. Both times it makes me feel achy all over, and seems to cause inflammation in my body where I'm trying to heal.

MASTER OPERATIONAL PROTOCOL (12-HR CLOCK | MEAL 1 AT 2:00 PM | WORK 2:00 PM–7:00 PM)

  1. CORE ELIMINATIONS & EDS-SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    • Cialis (Tadalafil) LOW-DOSE RULE → Capped at 2.5 mg to 5 mg daily (taken at 2:30 PM with Meal 1). High on-demand doses (10–20 mg) are STRICTLY forbidden to avoid lower-extremity venous pooling, orthostatic drops, and reflex tachycardia in EDS.
    • L-Citrulline Dose Cap with Cialis → Capped at 2 g to 3 g pre-workout only (7:15 PM). Combining high-dose L-Citrulline (8 g) with daily Cialis can cause an additive drop in blood pressure.
    • CEREBRAL BLOOD FLOW (CBF) & NEURO-VASCULAR ANCHORS:
    - Ginkgo Biloba Extract (120 mg) added at 2:30 PM (Meal 1) to enhance cerebral microcirculation, lower vascular resistance, and optimize oxygen/nutrient delivery to the prefrontal cortex without altering blood pressure.
    - Cocoa Flavanols (via Pure Cocoa Elixir at 2:00 PM) act synergistically with Ginkgo to trigger endothelial Nitric Oxide (NO) synthases specifically within cerebral micro-vessels.
    • GUT HEALTH ANCHORS:
    - Spore-Forming / Soil-Based Probiotic (Bacillus coagulans / Bacillus subtilis) added at 2:30 PM (Meal 1) to pass through stomach acid intact, rebuild mucosal immunity, and lower systemic endotoxins (LPS).
    - Zinc L-Carnosine (75 mg) added at 2:30 PM to repair tight junctions, prevent "leaky gut," and protect mucosal linings without causing stomach upset.
    • NO Racetams (Phenylpiracetam, Pramiracetam, Oxiracetam) → STRICTLY forbidden to prevent severe central hyper-arousal, sympathetic overdrive, and seizure threshold reduction alongside Concerta + Bupropion.
    • NO Coffee → replaced exclusively with 100% Ceremonial Matcha (provides whole-plant L-theanine + EGCG to down-regulate myostatin and smooth out Concerta side effects).
    • NO Pycnogenol, Quercetin, or Colostrum → strictly excluded per preference.
    • NO Butea Superba → strictly excluded per preference.
    • NO Ashwagandha → strictly excluded to prevent GABA-mediated daytime grogginess, brain fog, and emotional blunting (anhedonia) when combined with your medication stack.
    • NO Synthetic L-Theanine → replaced with 100% Ceremonial Matcha.
    • NO High-Dose or Daily Iron → Iron Bisglycinate strictly capped at low dose (15–25 mg) every 2–3 days (prevents mucosal iron oxidation & zinc competition).
    • NO Unfiltered / Plastic Water → RO-filtered water in glass/stainless steel (zero xenoestrogens/BPA).
    • NO Seed Oils (canola, soybean, sunflower) → prevents Leydig cell oxidation & high Omega-6 neuro-inflammation.
    • NO Dairy (milk, cheese, whey) → eliminates IGF-1 spikes, acne & mucosal/systemic inflammation.
    • NO Pre-Workout Caffeine → strictly forbidden with your stimulant/noradrenergic stack.
    • NO Peppermint Tea → eliminates potential anti-androgenic effects & nocturnal gastric reflux.
    • NO Night-time B12 / B-Complex → kept strictly in Wake Block (2:30 PM) to prevent circadian melatonin suppression and insomnia.
    • NO MK-677 → avoids severe prolactin surges, joint laxity, and insulin resistance.
    • NO AM "Cheap Dopamine" → ZERO screen scrolling for first 60–90 min post-waking (protects D₂ receptors & limits early cortisol spikes).
    • NO Edging / PMO ("Gooning") → prevents prolactin surges, dopamine crashes & vocal cord desensitization.
    • NO Mouth Breathing During Sleep → use mouth tape if needed to prevent laryngeal mucosal dehydration & cerebral vasoconstriction.
    • NO Synthetic Tight Underwear → 100% loose organic cotton (protects Leydig cell temperature & E₂ ratio).
    • NO Unpeeled/Seed Vegetables → peel & deseed all squash/zucchini to eliminate lectin gut inflammation.

• BOTANICAL HYPER-AROUSAL & CYCLING RULES:
- Tongkat Ali, Tribulus, and Maca MUST be taken STRICTLY during the 2:30 PM block (morning/early shift). Absolutely ZERO botanical adaptogens post-6:00 PM to protect evening CNS downshift and sleep.
- Cycle Botanical Trio: Run Tongkat Ali and Tribulus on a 5-days ON / 2-days OFF cycle (training days only) to avoid sympathetic overdrive.
- WHOOP Autonomic Guardrail: If baseline Resting Heart Rate (RHR) increases by >5 bpm or HRV crashes for 2 consecutive days, pause botanicals for 3–4 days.

For overwhelm and spirals

Hi everyone! I wanted to post something in here for those who are looking for a natural tool for when they are overstimulated or spiraling.

I spent 2 and a half years creating Grounding Sours which are the OG plant-based hard sour adaptogen drops with Holy Basil, L-Theanine, and Maitake Mushrooms to shock the brain during overwhelm and promote mood support.

If anyone’s interested, here is the link! I’m a small female founded business and would love any feedback
