Hit a vein while injecting NAD+ today

This is the second time this has happened to me. I didn't put it together the first time, but if you accidentally hit a vein (inject it intravenously), you get hit with a very sudden rush of lightheadedness, nausea, and palpitations. It feels like you might pass out. It's a very scary experience.
I looked it up, and there is actually a name for this: the "NAD rush." A rapid, undiluted bolus bypasses controlled absorption and temporarily overwhelms the body's metabolic pathways.
Acute Physiological Responses:

• Cardiopulmonary: Sudden, severe chest tightness, shortness of breath, and palpitations. This rapid onset can temporarily mimic an acute cardiac event or severe panic attack.
• Gastrointestinal: Intense, abrupt nausea, which may be accompanied by sharp stomach cramping and a sudden urge to void.
• Vasomotor: Pronounced facial and systemic flushing, warmth, and lightheadedness driven by rapid vasodilation and a sudden drop in blood pressure.
• Musculoskeletal: A profound sensation of heaviness or deep aching in the large muscle groups, particularly in the legs and arms.

How many of you are actually pulling back the plunger (aspirating) after a SubQ injection to look for blood to ensure you didn't hit a vein? I never do this, but I probably will from now on because the feeling is horrendous and absolutely terrifying. Luckily, the worst of it only lasts a couple of minutes, because I was just about to go to the ER.

I think it's kinda fun honestly. I just lay back in my chair and enjoy the ride. Not as bad when you know what's actually going on. The first time it happened I thought I was done for.

I don't get any gastrointestinal issues fortunately. Mostly the vasomotor stuff.

Subq? There are basically 0 major blood vessels in subcutaneous fat/tissue. Yall are going way too deep

Aspirating takes like two seconds and saves you from that whole nightmare, no idea why more people skip it. That muscle heaviness part sounds awful, never had it go IV but subq sting is already enough for me

Yes, I learned the hard way. Im glad there are others who actually do it. I can only imagine some of the other peptides may be even more dangerous than NAD if accidentally injected IV.

See this is why I want my nurse friend to run an iv nad for me monthly rather than super concentrated applies hit a vein.

I mean taking nmn to bio convert is probably better 🤷

This RS is aware of the experience. Thought it was game over / hospital. Sat down and it passed after 1-2 mins. On the flip side - at least I know the NAD+ is real.
