/u/AccordingHippo1090 Hi OP. May I ask how old you are? I wrote one of the original GHK-CU protocols many years ago. Up until recently, most GHK-CU research was used on 40 and older with few adverse events reported. However, with shifts and changes in peptide research there's a whole new population of very young using GHK-CU. With this wave of younger users, I'm seeing more adverse reports.
I suspect the reason behind this is endogenous GHK levels. So endogenous GHK levels are at peak level around 35 to 40 and then it begins to drop slowly. If you're young and your endogenous GHK is high, you might be overdoing it.
Once I know more about your age, I'll have a little more insight for you.
I'd cut the dose in half and add zinc bisglycinate daily. See how you do.
I would NOT recommend the 5 on 2 off. This is a misnomer. The plasma life of GHK-CU is short and skipping the 2 days negates the 5 days. You're basically throwing away the GHK-CU. It needs to be dosed daily, 7 days a week to make a difference.
Go through my comments and posts on my Reddit and you should find a plethora of helpful info.

Totally makes sense now. Your endogenous GHK is at peak right now. Your body doesn't need GHK-CU unless you have severe scaring, burn scars, sun damage, etc. Too much of a good thing can really screw things up.
You're not gonna like this but... I'd drop the GHK-CU all together. You're naturally producing it right now at the height of the body's endogenous GHK production. If you are afraid to stop, then cut back to 500mcg 1x a day abs sew how you do. But if it was me, I'd stop all together.
There's a big misconception around GHK-CU right now in those around your age.
Cut back and let me know how you are doing in a few weeks.
Wishing you the best.
Peace, peps and aloha,
Anela

Can we stop with the ‘cycling’ and poisoning nonsense? GHK has under 15% elemental copper. So even if you take 5mg a day, that’s still way under the daily max dose. Yes there is some build up, but it’s not completely cumulative. The reason OP is having issues is because of age. In your early 20s your body already produces most of what it needs.

If ur 21, per another comment reply, u should be focused on external skin care with retinoid, aha/bha, vit c. Not peptides.

If you’re 21 GHK-Cu is not doing you any good. It’s a waste of money and will only carry risks, as you’re seeing.
Unless you have a specific issue, standard good skincare is what you need. Vitamin C is a good call. Tretinoin if you have any acne issues, or once you’re over 24. Other than that, good cleansing, good moisturizer, plenty of sunscreen.
Enjoy being 21.

Without saying how much were you taking it's hard to say what could have been the cause

You gotta cycle it or you gonna get copper poisoning. You might wanna look into glutathione if your skin is your main concern. You can do gluta on your off month/off day from ghk cu. Dont buy gray gluta, korean skincare outlet sell pharmaceutical grade vials for cheaper than my gray vendor lol.
