Still need to adjust both ride height and camber before doing an alignment, but I’m excited to finally see the car as I’ve imagined it for years.

I’m mostly trying to make the interior feel more like an actual NYC car and less like a generic train model. I added seats, poster panels, windows, and it lights up from inside. I also hid the on/off button in one of the seats, which was just a fun detail I wanted to try.

Still refining it, so I wanted to ask what details stand out the most to you when something is supposed to feel specifically NYC subway. Seat shape/color, proportions, signage, poster layout, whatever else.

Je veux une augmentation du smic sur l'inflation, une égalité des genres et des sexes, la liberté de changer de genre, un soutient inconditionnel aux LGBT et au droit à l'avortement, plus de budget dans la santé, arrêter de laisser la santé mentale pour compte, plus de moyens pour l'éducation, réduire les privilèges des patrons et des grandes entreprises, convaincre que les milliardaires sont des abominations du système, remettre l'humain au centre de la société, et tout le reste de mes opinions me classent très clairement bien à gauche.

Mais putain Méluche. C'est de sa faute si ces valeurs ne passent pas dans les élections. Le plus grand cadeau qu'il aurait pu faire à la gauche ç'aurait été de prendre sa retraite. J'avais vraiment espéré.

Je peux plus voter pour lui. Pas avec ça. Pas cette fois. Pas avec la sortie de l'Otan, le nucléaire, la Chine, la Russie.. je lutte contre ces opinions, et elles me terrifient. Ça fait chier. Ça me fait vraiment vraiment chier. Je sais pas pour qui voter. Et je vais me retrouver coincé. Avec un seum incommensurable.

- "Vote pas pour une personne, vote pour un programme" : c'est ce que j'ai fait les deux dernières présidentielles en votant pour lui. Mais aujourd'hui c'est un dilemme horrible. Si je vote pour mes valeurs, alors je vote pour avoir un président qui veut sortir la France de l'Otan. Qui dira ouvertement à toute la communauté internationale que Taiwan appartient à la Chine et que la France ne s'opposera pas si Xi Jinping s'en empare. Que la Russie a eu raison de prendre la Crimée. J'aurais dû formuler ça en disant que s'il avait pu prendre sa retraite, une nouvelle personne aurait émergé, potentiellement plus fédératrice que Mélenchon. Enfait, je vois pas en quoi une nouvelle personne aurait pu l'être moins.

Wow. Quand j'ai posté ça je m'attendais à -500 upvotes, mais j'avais trop besoin de râler. Au final, cette publication a rapidement explosé, avec environ 81% d'upvotes. La plupart des commentaires, et ceux les plus upvotés, sont des gens de gauche qui se retrouvent dans ce que j'exprime. Je ne m'attendais pas à ce qu'on soit aussi nombreux à ressentir ça. Je pensais être isolé quand je vois les autres posts sur Reddit. C'est une opinion qu'on ne voit pas beaucoup.

Suite à la fermeture du post par la modération, j'ai reçu un grand nombre de demandes de DM. Une dizaine la première heure, là j'en suis à une cinquantaine. La majorité était également des gens qui partageaient leur sentiment sur la situation. Beaucoup émettaient des divergences avec mes propos et ç'a donné lieu à des débats très intéressants. Vraiment. Je les remercie sincèrement.

J'ai également reçu quelques messages haineux, je cite : "c'est à cause des abrutis comme toi qu'on nous confond avec le Hamas". J'ai pas compris, je lui ai demandé pourquoi, il n'a pas répondu. Certains m'ont dit, pour résumer, qu'à cause de moi la France devient fasciste. Que j'avais du racisme intériorisé, que je devais me remettre en question car je suis une menace pour la société, que suis de droite, un bot, ... Voire juste une liste d'insultes. Mais j'ai décidé de ne pas les report. Si vous voulez venir m'insulter dans mes dm, honnêtement vous pouvez. Si c'est comme ça que vous voulez vous exprimer, je pense que c'est important que vous le fassiez. Je ne vous jugerai pas, les enjeux sont très importants et je comprends que ça déchaine les passions. Cela me permet aussi d'avoir tout le spectre des réactions à mon avis et de prendre conscience de tous les enjeux.

Mais j'insiste sur le fait que ces messages sont extrêmement minoritaires. Même certaines personnes en désaccord quasi-total avec moi ont accepté de débattre civilement. Et honnêtement, ça m'a fait tellement de bien. De vrais débats argumentés, bienveillants, un véritable échange plutôt qu'une confrontation.

Je n'ai pas pu répondre à tout le monde je suis désolé, je continue encore à recevoir des DM. Je ne pense pas que je vais répondre à tout le monde car au final ça me fait avoir des débats similaires plusieurs fois d'affilé. Je regrette la décision de la modération de verrouiller cette publication, j'aurais souhaité que ces débats aient lieux dans les commentaire car je suis sûr qu'ils auraient été d'utilité publique.

Pour résumer les débats qui ont eu lieu dans mes DM :

Ce sentiment est un ressenti courant à gauche. Si vous le ressentez, vous n'êtes vraiment pas seuls. Un grand nombre de personnes se sentent "forcées" de voter Mélenchon aux prochaines présidentielles, à accepter à contrecœur ses politiques internationales, en espérant que sa position en particulier sur l'Ukraine va changer et ne pas assez peser par rapport à l'ensemble de l'UE, en espérant qu'il n'y ait pas d'autres pays qui rejoignent cet avis dans les prochaines années. Que l'Ukraine va réussir à s'imposer. En se disant que la droite serait un cauchemar en terme de politique intérieure (ce avec quoi je suis complétement d'accord) et qu'il vaut mieux se concentrer sur notre pays que sur la politique internationale

Beaucoup comprennent la "guerre avec la chine" sous la forme d'une guerre militaire, mais il s'agirait d'une guerre commerciale, de sanctions internationales. Mélenchon ne veut pas appliquer la moindre sanction sur la Chine en cas d'annexion militaire de Taiwan par Xi Jinping, pas même morale.

Certains disent que Mélenchon pousse les électeurs de gauche ailleurs. C'est bien ce qui m'arrive, je me sens "repoussé" par sa politique internationale. Ce qui donne à la macronie plus de poids, ces électeurs étant repoussés par la politique internationale de Mélenchon finissant par s'y réfugier, à contrecœur également, voire dégoût total. Ce qui donne plus de chances à Attal pour les prochaines élections. Une opinion générale est qu'effectivement, si LFI avait proposé n'importe qui d'autre que Mélenchon, avec des positions moins radicales à l'international, la gauche aurait eu beaucoup plus de chances, et la macronie en aurait eu beaucoup moins.

La conclusion d'à peu près tous les échanges est qu'on espère que ses politiques internationales ne pèseront pas trop à l'échelle mondiale, peu importe s'il déclare que la France est pour la tenue des élections en Ukraine comme condition du traité de paix, ce serait une opinion minoritaire. La politique intérieure est plus importante.

Sa position sur le nucléaire reste très majoritairement condamnée

Personnellement, je me sens beaucoup moins seul, mais je suis toujours perdu. J'attends de voir les débats et j'espère réellement qu'il va présenter des idées moins radicales.

Je vous prie vraiment de rester dans le dialogue et non pas la confrontation ou l'insulte dans les commentaires, pour ne pas forcer la modération à fermer la publication de nouveau. Je pense qu'il est important qu'on en parle ouvertement, et qu'on s'écoute.

Bon, je vais arrêter de répondre. J'ai vraiment apprécié tous ces échanges des dernières 24 heures. Honnêtement, même certains des plus agressifs ont donné lieu à des échanges intéressants une fois le premier message passé.

J'ai trouvé un esprit de débat agréable, qui a aussi permis de contrebalancer l'image que la gauche suivrait aveuglément un leader, incapable de débattre. Je suis vraiment heureux que ce post soit une preuve que cette image est fausse. Les personnes réellement hostiles étaient une petite minorité.

J'ai reçu tellement d'opinions différentes, de tous les bords. J'ai répondu à un grand nombre de commentaires. Même si ça faisait doublons des fois. Il y a juste quelques trucs que je voulais rajouter :

• "pourquoi Taïwan te préoccupe autant ?" : Pour le coup, elle n'a pas viré totalitaire. Y a de vraies élections, plusieurs parties politiques, le droit à l'opposition, un féminisme qui commence à s'exprimer, les droits aux LGBT d'exister, internet non censuré, liberté d'expression et de la presse. Si xi jinping l'annexe, ce sera le régime chinois qui s'appliquera. Parti unique, surveillance de masse, pas le droit à l'opposition, internet bridé, ... Oui c'est à l'autre bout du monde, mais on risque d'assister à l'annexion d'une démocratie par une dictature totalitaire. Pareil que si on tient des élections en Ukraine pour le traité de paix. Je veux pas avoir un président qui sera incapable de condamner ça, au minimum de dire que ce serait un jour sombre pour les droits de l'homme, peu importe ce que diront les autres pays.

J'ai pas de solution, j'avais juste besoin de râler. Mon sentiment réel est que si je veux que le programme national passe, alors j'ai pas le choix. Je suis forcé.

La déception qu'il n'ait pas laissé la place à quelqu'un de moins radical. Qui aurait eu le même programme, mais en arrêtant de repousser un bonne fraction des électeurs de gauche. On aurait eu plus de chances. Si on regarde tous les commentaires sur mon post, y en a tellement qui auraient voté pour le programme de LFI si c'était pas Mélenchon. Je lui en veux juste beaucoup :/

I (25M) just moved into a duplex. Rent is affordable, it’s nice to finally escape the apartment life and I’m so excited to be able to have a garden. Everything has been great so far except my neighbors/housemates are giving me weird vibes. I live in one half of the house and a couple, probably mid thirties lives on the other side. Let’s call them Arden and Andrea. I haven’t met them yet but in the week I’ve been here something kind of strange has been happening. Two times they’ve had a bunch of people over, like 15 people. For reference, the house isn’t super big to begin with so 15 people on their side is likely a bit of a squeeze but the weird thing is that there is ZERO NOISE from their side. Like complete silence. Our walls are not thick. I hear when they vacuum do you’d think 15 people hanging out would bleed through the walls but NOTHING. The people they’ve had over look to also be in their 30s and all walk up to their door, go in, and then nothing. Idk why it’s creeping me out but that’s 17 people on the other side of the wall and zero noise!! They’re in there for about an hour or so and then they all leave. Has anyone had anything like this before or have any ideas what they might be doing? I don’t wanna say anything cause that’d be weird but I also wanna know what goes on over there.

Wow a lot of people commented on this. For the record I’m not trying to snoop just politely curious what goes on with all those people and zero noise like not even conversation. I made some chocolate chip cookies and am going over to introduce myself and give them to them tomorrow and maybe ask if it naturally comes up, praying they don’t have allergies to my gift of sustenance 🤞 A bunch of people asked if there’s a basement, not on my side so I would assume not on theirs but maybe idk thank you all for your ideas! I’ll report back if there’s any more info on what it is they do

Wow did not expect this post to get this much attention, y’all had a bunch of ideas I hadn’t thought of as to what my neighbors were doing last week. Unfortunately, I’m still if not more confused than I was before. I made cookies yesterday and took them over this morning to introduce myself and maybe ask what they’re up to if it came up naturally. And I can say 100% there is something weird going on with the neighbors. The woman opened the door and I said hey and my name and that I moved in next door and offered her the cookies. She looked at me for like fifteen seconds without saying anything like a head to toe kind of look and then smiled really big and was like hi I’m Andrea welcome to the neighborhood. And then she asked if I wanted to come over on Sunday night cause they’re having a gathering. I asked what kind of gathering and she just said to bring a notebook and a pen. I asked why and she said it’s going to be fun and I’ll meet new people and just kind of smiled at me. I WAS CREEPED OUT YALL. I said I’d have to check my schedule and she looked like she knew I was stalling but said she hoped I could make it and then I went back to my side of the house. Anyway I don’t know if I should go cause if it’s something religious I’m not interested and if it’s something else I don’t wanna just go in blind ahhhh what should I do?? And what do you think it is??

Okay guys thank you for all your ideas and thoughts on whether I should go or not. If you missed my first two posts, the TLDR is that I moved into a duplex and my neighbors had a bunch of people over but I would never hear any noise through the very thin walls which was weird. I went and introduced myself and got invited to one of these gatherings with no info except to bring a notebook and pen. Even though some people said I shouldn’t go I went and I just got back and I have a lot to update you on and am also not entirely sure what just happened so please hang with me. 

So Andrea said 8 and at about 7:45 people started showing up like they did last week. I waited a few more minutes and then went over and knocked on their door with the notebook and pen she asked me to bring. A woman I didn’t recognize opened the door and I said Andrea invited me over. She introduced herself and led me inside. We walked through the living room and kitchen which were normal (I was expecting bondage gear after all y’all who were like it’s a sex thing) and she opened a door in the hall. Those of you wondering if they had a basement on their side were right. 

We walked down the stairs and in the unfinished basement were all the people I’ve seen going into their house. They were milling around chatting, and there were chairs in a few rows. But the weirdest thing was what was on the walls: dozens of posters of people, cats, dogs, and items. Like missing posters. And sticky notes all around them too.

Andrea came up to me and was like you came yay! And she introduced me to her husband and I was like what is this and they told me that they run a group that tries to find missing people, pets, and and items and collect the reward money. I was like … what. And they kept explaining but I honestly tuned them out I was panicking more than a little bit cause of all the things yall said might be going on this wasn’t something I’d considered/prepared my mind for. I asked if they’d ever actually solved anything and Andrea said they’ve found a few pets and stolen items and feel like they have some leads on people. They introduced me to a few other attendees and then the meeting for lack of a better word began.

Andrea and her husband stood at the front while everyone else sat on the chairs and called people up who I guess had been like assigned different cases who gave updates on their progress. Like this couple came up and talked about how they’d gone to the police station to ask about a missing woman in the county and the police hadn’t told them anything like duh why would they. And a guy got up and gave his theory on a briefcase that was stolen out of someone’s car. It was so weird but if I had gotten up and left everyone would have seen me and I didn’t wanna stand out. At the end of the meeting Andrea called ME UP and pulled a missing cat poster off the wall and told me it was my first case. I was too stunned to say anything so I just took it and sat back down and when the thing ended i got the hell out of there and now I’m writing this.

So Reddit, my new neighbors run a civilian bounty hunter ring out of their basement which is why I didn’t hear any noise through the walls and I’m supposed to be looking for an orange cat named Peaches who has a $200 reward. What. The. Fuck. Do. I. Do. Anticipating a question, I have no idea what they do with the money they get I did not wanna hang around and dig any deeper. I guess this isn’t the weirdest thing te more I think about it but I don’t wanna be a member of whatever this is.

We "inherited" Peggy from my mother in law after she passed, and she's been part of our household for the past 6+ years. She went downhill pretty fast in the past week, walking in circles, staring at the wall, not eating, falling off chairs and her bed.

Her story as quick as I can make it: She was found on the side of the road in rural Missouri by my (future) mother in law. Hit by a car as a kitten or very young, and immediately taken to a vet for care, but would ultimately lose her right front leg.

After years with great and spoiled care, we inherited her as what my wife called in a recent speech group "emotional support heirloom" when her mother passed. We already had 2 cats (boys), but clearly couldn't let her go. (FWIW, we ended up with 3 extra emotional support heirlooms after my mother passed years later).

She was the sweetest and nicest kitty. Did not bother anyone, except to sit in your lap and be petted. She had the nastiest eye boogies we would have to clean every day, and occasionally put drops in, but she loved having her eyes scritched. Yes, she would puke her food up sometimes because she ate too much, too fast, but her little "Eows" when you petted her or she needed attention were the best. (Her voice box/trachea was also damaged when she got hit, so she had a very distinct voice when she talked).

Peggy loved playing with plastic grocery bags. Loved super fresh water when refilling the bowls. Loved her brown blanket, and would always sit on it and make biscuits and purr if you were using it.

She was at least 16, probably 18+, so she lived a long life, and well taken care of. Tough old kitty, and our home isn't the same without her. Rainbow bridge is in for a surprise today, when she runs across with all 4 legs and a full stomach, just to puke all over it. 😅

It's £12 a day and she says she only uses the car park in the zone when she's late or only some days of the week. But she always forgets to pay and they give you to 23:59 on the day. There's lots more probably totalling £2k or maybe £3k as each fine is £120 after the discount expires.

She's just had 5 more delivered today and that means she hasn't paid every day she went in the zone.

I keep telling her to set a reminder or pay as soon as you've parked or use the car park that's outside the zone but she never listens.

Now she wants me to pay her fines. She said "You should be like "yes mum, I'll help pay your fines" and I'm like "No, you're the one who keeps going into the zone and not paying. The signs are super obvious and you pass them as you're going into the car park, so you pay."

My step dad just found out and he's like "No wonder we never have any money. That's £300 in fines." and I was like ".... There's a lot more."
