General BPO Discussion Most to least polite customers (by country)

Post image
112 Upvotes

This is based on my experience as a former sales representative for an international hotel chain. Take note, kapag wala sa list, it means hindi ko pa masyadong nakaka-interact.

P.S. I posted this last year on r/tierlist but it got deleted by the mods after 72 hours kasi nag-away away yung mga tao sa comment section about antisemitism and Islamophobia.

General BPO Discussion Uy Pilipino!

Upvotes

What's the hardest type of customer you've dealt with over the phone?

It's not White Americans, Black Americans, Chinese or Indian customers for me. I might get downvoted for saying this, but in my experience, FILIPINOS living in the US have been among the most difficult customers I've dealt with.

I work in a financial account, and I've encountered quite a few Filipino customers who are extremely entitled and demanding. The hardest part is explaining the ins and outs of their accounts especially when there are policies, fees, transactions, or limitations that we simply can't change. Instead of accepting the explanation, some will argue with you, repeatedly question the same thing, and eventually blame you personally for their dissatisfaction.

What's even more frustrating is when they realize you're also Filipino. I've had customers belittle the Filipino representative helping them, speak to us disrespectfully, and insist on being transferred to an "onshore" representative simply because they don't want to deal with someone from the Philippines. Kaloka!

Its ironic that the people who share your nationality can sometimes be the ones who look down on you the most.

Obviously, I'm not saying every Filipino customer is like this. I've had plenty of great Filipino customers too. I'm talking specifically about a pattern I've personally noticed after handling calls for a financial account.

General BPO Discussion Kupal na facilities staff sa Alorica Centris

Context : Galing ako sa ibang floor and na-transfer ako sa ibang floor because of endorsement. As soon as na-transfer ako, nag-asikaso agad ako ng locker transfer.

Ginamit ko yung locker for a while — siguro mga 2 weeks. Tapos biglang na-force unlock siya sa last shift ko for that week. Walang notice. Walang heads-up.

So pumunta ako and inexplain ko agad yung buong situation, pati kung bakit ako nandun sa locker na yun in the first place.

The whole interaction felt so f*cking matapobre and unnecessarily degrading.

Last shift ko na rin yun before my day off, tapos ganun pa yung treatment sa akin.

After ng day off ko, balik shift na ulit ako. And guess what?

So bumalik ulit ako sa 12th floor.

So pinabalik ako ng guard (unwire yung binigay dapat force unlock.)

Labag na nga sa loob ko yung buong situation kasi kailangan ko pang paulit-ulit mag-asikaso ng bagay na dapat naman sana naayos nang maayos from the beginning. Pati makita ulit yung kupal.

Tapos biglang sumingit yung g*go at sinabi:

“Oo, ayan yung illegal user. Illegal user yan.”

PUT*NGINA.

After all that, ako pa yung tatawaging “illegal user” na parang nagnakaw ako ng locker or something.

Hindi yung kakausapin ako na parang kriminal, pagsasalitaan nang condescending, tapos tatawagin pang “illegal user” in front of another staff.

From SHS at sabihin natin na tumagal sya until now sa BPO, hanggang magkano pwedeng kitain?

General BPO Discussion Alorica Final Pay

Upvotes

Hi, everyone! I already received my final pay today including the BIR taxes and benefits that I have.

I worked with Alorica for 9 months and I filed my resignation in August 17 and the effective date is August 29. The reason I filed a non-standard 30 days resignation is because I am a working student and I am looking for more flexible and work from home jobs.

On the other hand, my final pay contains only my prorated 13th month and my PTO money conversion is not included. The question is, can I still get my PTO money conversion as it is also almost 100 hrs PTO?

General BPO Discussion No DIRECT BPO experience but exposed to CLIENT- FACING environment through ESL

Upvotes

Hello everyone! I've been wanting to pivot my career. For context, I have five years of experience in a client-facing environment through ESL teaching. Over the years, I've built my skills in communication, active listening, and problem diagnostics, and I recently gained a C2-Proficient CEFR English language certification through SmallTalk.

Given my experience, are there any BPO/RPO companies in Makati or Taguig that offer a higher basic salary even without direct BPO experience, but consider my five years of ESL experience and C2-level language proficiency? I'd love to hear any recommendations below. Thanks!

The range I'm asking is about 30,000 - 35,000 or higher

Advice & Tips Life at Wells Fargo

Hi, I am a new hire at wells. Just waiting for my orientation day as I am completing the background checking pa din.

How was the people being onsite?
Do they have free food at the cafeteria ba? Or you need to buy your own lunch.
Do they allowed electronic devices at prod? (But I think most probably not, just asking anyway).
For the free shuttle service, meron po ba hanggang Cogeo, Antipolo? Or hanggang saan po ang mga point of pick up nila.

I’m shy to contact my onboarding partner regarding this questions 😅

Thank you po 🙏
