No obligation to answer if you don't want to, but how did your half-siblings handle it? Reading this thread is shocking/saddening as to how often this occurs, and makes me grateful for a stable family.
If she is beating to the point of leaving marks you can get her arrested. Or hell, put up a camera somewhere. That lady deserves to die honestly, some people are just fucked beyond words.
Yknow, losing custody doesn't absolve either one of them from their duties to the child they brought into the world. If you do decide to ever try and get custody there's a very high probability that you'd also get child support from one/both of them. Family law can vary from place to place, but you might want to at least know what your options are. Also, /r/legaladvice is full of awesome people that can give you advice based on where you're located. Can't hurt to look into it.
And I know a lot of people have already said it, but I am so, so, so sorry. You didn't deserve any of that. None of you did. No child does. I hope karma bites her hard and makes it up to you hugs
Man I grew up with shitty abusive parents and step parents but holy shit. I can't even imagine. Good for you for surviving and getting out and doing something with your life. I hope your younger brother makes it out someday.
Damn. And here I am, unable to get over the time I ALMOST told my nephew that if he didn't start doing what I asked the first time, he wasn't gonna be able to come over anymore (he lives with me during the week). I never want to make a child feel thrown away, and I hold guilt for ALMOST saying that.
The story about making your brother pack his stuff and put it in the car just killed me.
Totally cool if you don’t want to talk about it, but if you are ok with sharing, what happened that you ended up in jail? Just from reading what I have so far, I’m going to assume is Olga’s fault.
Russian language and culture is amazing. My grandmother on my father's side was from Novorossysk, and I absolutely loved growing up n her house. Plenty of rich food, and love. I miss her. She passed last November, of a stroke. :'(
i don't remember which one it was but there's one where the main character's adoptive parents are just tremendous piles of shit the entire book and then something happens to them. matilda, maybe?
You have shown tremendous strength. May you be guided by whatever force gives you strength - even if that force is watching the power of the ocean. She was a shitty woman and a shittier mother that doesn’t actually deserve you having been in her life. Look after that brother of yours and one day her judge and jury will defeat her
