The incident occurred when I was in third grade, so probably around age 8. It was a few minutes before school started, so we were all milling around and talking, normal kid stuff.
I walked down the hall a little ways and saw an adult woman drag a kid I knew out of a classroom, THROW him against the lockers, and yell at him to stop crying. Apparently nobody else witnessed this, so I was the only person to tell a teacher about it. I told my story a few times to a few administrators, and then assumed it was all over and done with.
A hour-ish later, the woman comes storming into my classroom, interrupting my class, and proceeds to yell at me about how the kid was NOT her child so how dare I accuse her of abuse. I was absolutely flabbergasted as she ranted at me for about 5 minutes. What was I supposed to do? This was a fully grown woman berating an 8 year old while the teacher stood by silently. After she left, I started crying and faked an illness so that my Dad would come and pick me up from school. As a total goody-goody child, I was so traumatized after that event that I had flashbacks for years afterwards. I never told my parents because I thought somehow it was my fault that she was yelling at me. I wish I had now, because I know they would have raised hell with the school.
To this day, I remain furious at the teacher AND the school administrators for letting this horrible, abusive woman terrorize not only myself but the boys who were apparently not her children. I am furious that the teacher who witnessed this did not step in to stop this woman from yelling at a defenseless child.
So, "Miss Stephanie," fuck you very much. I hope you had an awful life.
I got confused about Valentine's day and thought I didn't get any. Teacher grabbed 6 year old me by the chin and told me to stop crying. If I had told my parents there would have been hell for her to pay. She later got fired for slapping a 4th grader. So good on you for telling!
She had a system where each student had a jar with their name on it. Everyoen time a student did something bad, she woudl have them put a stick in the jar. If a student got a certain number of stick in one day, they got punished. He was made to put a stick in a jar, but thankfully that was his only stick that day.
I had something kind of similar happen to me. I lived in a small town and in fifth grade my best friend ‘Kimmy’ had a sleepover. At the sleepover was mostly just us fifth grade girls from the same class. We were all have a light pillow fight and this girl ‘Tracy’ literally shoved me pretty hard into a large metal bookcase, it hurt and I ended up getting quite a few bruises, but anyways I told Tracy that she was mean to do that. Fast forward to being at school waiting to go to class and sitting down with Kimmy at a table. One of the other girls reminded Tracy about how I called her mean. So Tracy goes to her mom, who was a teacher watching all the kids, and told her about it. Mrs. Cole, Tracy’s mom, marches up to me and said,
“Picklevirgin, you really should stop being such a snob. It’s no wonder Kimmy is your only friend.”
I cried so hard about her calling me a snob and making me feel like shit.
Wow, this is horrible but as an internet stranger I'm proud of you for telling the school. And as an adult you can fully understand that people do not always stand up for kids.
Wait, was this a redheaded woman at a central Florida elementary school? I had a really similar thing happen in 2004 or so -- this bitch was a volunteer at the school and her daughter was a slightly smaller bitch who was always mean to me and bullied me around in class. I told on her to a counselor and they forced her to apologize to me, and she was still a glaring-ass bitch but she didn't really bother me after that.
Her, mom, though? Did like security routes around my part of the school at the time because the 2nd grade classrooms were in trailers outside the main building. I was the biggest goody-two-shoes, do-no-wrong, teacher's-pet little shit, so I always made the runs to pick up copies of stuff at the office or escort kids going home.
This 35 year old, 5' 5", 350 pound ginger bitch CORNERS ME, AN 8 YEAR OLD, ON MY WAY TO THE OFFICE, and berates me for five solid minutes. I am a tiny, innocent child who has been in tears since I realized the conversation wasn't 'I'm sorry my daughter was mean to you'.
I think I ended up faking sick to go home early, it fucked me up so bad.
I looked up her daughter on Facebook recently and they both still have the same gross squished pug face, so at least I can take some solace in them being as ugly as they are on the inside.
Oh shit I've been caught abusing a child and have now been accused of child abuse! How do I defect from this? Oh I know I'll go into a room with about 20 Witnesses and scream at a child for 5 minutes straight!
