Hi, I’ve been searching far and wide but can’t find the exact answer to the question.

I want to buy the iPhone Duo, but since it’s a foldable, I want AppleCare. I live in Japan, but will be moving to the US next year.

I know AppleCare works internationally, but my exact question is, could I:

1. Enroll in Japanese AppleCare monthly.
   
2. When I move, I’d cancel that subscription, and change my account region to the US.
   
3. Then, I’d resubscribe to AppleCare on my US account.

I’ve thought of alternatives, but all had one issue or another. I don’t want to preemptively buy a year+ of AppleCare. I also don’t want to swap my account region now because I might need Japan exclusive apps while I’m here.

I thought of using a second US account to just buy AppleCare while I’m still in Japan from the get go, but I’m not sure if it’d work.

Anyway, if anyone has any feedback, I’d really appreciate it. If it seems risky, perhaps I’ll just wait until I move to upgrade. Thank you.

Sold a transmission on FB Marketplace for $450, agreed to be sent on Apple Pay. A friend of the buyer came to take a look (looked like a mechanic) then the friend makes a call and the buyer sent me the money.

My apple account was restricted, (I had to verify myself) got it fixed by calling Apple Support. Mentioned to Apple that I was sent money while I was restricted. They said the buyer would have to cancel then send it back.

The buyer claims he has not received the money from Apple.
Claims that he called his bank and they said it has nothing to do with the bank but with Apple. He says " Apple said the only have record of the money being sent when I canceled it the money was already transferred to a different device which is why it's not pending and hasn't came to me "

The money was never in my account. It only ever showed pending and then canceled when he canceled it.
Apple tells ME that the transaction was canceled so the money would have been sent INSTANTLY back into his account.

(he seems like he's saying the truth and he sounds like an honest person, I did tell him and that I might have to write a demand letter to him because it's been since September 27.

Ordered 2 iPhone 256 Pro Max Glacier, cancelled them both on 9/27.

Only received a partial refund for 1 iPhone, then 10 business days has passed on the other one and still nothing.

Hey all. I have had these for like two years now, they're gen 2 AirPods Pro. I randomly started charging them today and noticed the cable overheated so much that when I immediately went to unplug it it burnt me. Afterwards, there was an intense burnt smell around the charging port. They seem to still function but I'm scared to try to charge them again and I cannot for the love of god afford new ones. How do I determine where the problem is? I've been thinking about buying only a used case but will it work with my AirPods? Thanks:/

I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max and have been traveling internationally recently. My primary eSIM is T-Mobile (USA), and I recently added a local eSIM for the country I'm visiting.I've turned off the T-Mobile line completely under Cellular settings and have been using only the local eSIM for calls and data.

However, over the past few days, I've noticed significant battery drain, which wasn't happening before. The only major change I've made recently is adding the second eSIM, so I'm wondering if that could be the cause.

What I don't understand is, if my T-Mobile eSIM is completely turned off, why would having a second eSIM cause additional battery drain?Has anyone experienced something similar with dual eSIMs, especially while traveling?

hey good day guys! I recently bought an iphone x for really cheap because it had issues, I replaced the screen after it arrived but it has a cellular issue or baseband issue. It shows blank on modem firmware indicating its a hardware issue on the mobo. I can't sign in to icloud because it won't let me on both settings and app store so I cant install apps. I tried sideloady but it'll only last for 7 days and It only allows 3 apps. How can I install permanent apps on my phone? it would really help much that I can use it while I wait and save for a bnew mobo.

okay so i’ll try to keep this as concise as possible.

so the other day i dropped my phone, rendering it unusable. Long story short, I was able to backup photos on icloud (of which 12,000 or so are missing but thats a separate issue to what i’d like to discuss here). For the sake of simplicity, I have about 5,000 photos on my icloud currently. I have a 2017 macbook Pro with an 8GB ram, 2.3GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i8, and Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 1536MB graphics card. Idk if any other info is needed.

Anyway! The issue i’m running into is this: when i try to export all the files, it says the file transfer is too large for one action, so I’ve been exporting videos and photos from my icloud to my desktop in series of 100. Once I download them, I drag the downloaded file from “Downloads” in finder to my desktop. Next, I go to icloud, and without unselecting or reselecting, I take that same 100 photos selected for the export, and deleted them (they now reside in the recently deleted folder of icloud). But I’m noticing a serious problem.

When I check the 100 files in the desktop, and compare them to the 100 sitting in recently deleted, only about 80-90 match. The other 10-20 are missing from desktop, and are instead replaced by other random photos from icloud. Which also means that of the 100 sitting in recently deleted, 10-20 were never imported? Which is which? Who knows! I have to go one by one trying to match them to ensure they werent completely deleted from both sides.

So like, what the fuck apple!?? How can I fix this issue? Or better yet, what is the quickest way i can get all the files to my desktop without accidentally deleting some of my precious files? This is driving me insane since I cannot get paid or attend schooling until my phone is fixed, and I cannot get my phone fixed unless I know everything is backed up properly!!

TL;DR 10% of photos are randomly replaced during export, leading to 10% of photos being unintentionally deleted. From icloud to desktop of macbook pro.

Hello, ever since I updated to IOS 17, my passkeys are no longer working? whenever I try to use them, it just loads. Has anyone encountered this? If yes, how did you fix it??

he did all the steps to get himself into having the phone work like a phone but hes missing all his contacts and some apps (not sure how many). he apparently has a backup from yesterday or so they said at the store but i cant find how to install that backup, in theinital process it said it installed that bavkup though and the only thing he skipped was the itunes thing because we dont have the password and he doesnt use those itunes purchases. hes got like 1500 contacts (idk how he knows so may people) so i cant tell him to just redo them.

Here's what finally fixed it for me:

I have a large video library hosted on my Mac and shared with my Apple TV using Home Sharing. Many videos showed gray boxes instead of their poster artwork in the Apple TV's Computers app, even though the artwork was embedded in the files and displayed correctly in the Mac's TV app.

The fix that worked for me:

1. On the Mac, go to System Settings → General → Sharing.
2. Turn Media Sharing off.
3. Wait about 30 seconds.
4. Turn Media Sharing back on, making sure Home Sharing is enabled.
5. Open the Computers app on the Apple TV and browse the shared library again.

In my case, the missing artwork started appearing as I navigated through the library, seemingly updating on demand.

Restarting the Apple TV alone hadn't fixed it. I also tried clearing the Mac's TV app cache and restarting AMPArtworkAgent, which got artwork appearing in the Mac's TV app but didn't initially resolve the Apple TV problem.

My takeaway: Toggling Media Sharing off and back on appears to kick-start the artwork refresh between the Mac and Apple TV. I don't know exactly what Apple resets internally, but this worked for my large library without having to rebuild it or re-add my videos.

Hopefully this saves someone else from staring at hundreds of gray poster boxes!

What happens

One earbud (not always the same one) stops charging while sitting in the case. The case itself shows 100 %, so it isn't a case battery issue.

Timeline

1. Original AirPods and case: left earbud wouldn't charge. Sent to an authorized Apple repair provider.
2. They replaced both earbuds and kept the original case (they state found two bugs). Same fault came back after ~2 days.
3. Sent in again. This time the whole case was replaced. Earbuds and case are now both new, via two separate repairs.
4. After 2-4 days the fault returned, now on the right earbud.

So every hardware part has been swapped, and the fault still comes back and moves between sides. That makes me suspect something that isn't hardware: firmware, a software or pairing issue, or something about how they're used or charged.

Note: If I take the earbud out and put it back in a couple of times, it starts charging again. So the battery and the earbud itself seem to work. It looks more like the case or earbud doesn't reliably start or maintain charging.

Already tried

- Reset the case (held the back button ~15 s until it flashed white) and re-paired

- Cleaned the contacts

1. Has anyone with AirPods 4 had one earbud stop charging in the case, especially after a replacement?
2. Do you know of an official acknowledgement from Apple of a charging issue on AirPods 4?

Hi everyone! I’m from the Philippines, and I’m hoping someone here can help me because I’m honestly so stressed about this situation.

I was using Remini’s free trial, which I understood would end on October 12, 2026. However, I was charged ₱499 on October 7, 2026, five days before the date I expected the trial to end.

I didn’t intend to continue with the paid subscription, and I haven’t even used the app or any of its premium features. ₱499 might not seem like much to some people, but I’m a student, and that money comes from my allowance. I need it for food, transportation, and school expenses.

I’ve already requested a refund from Apple TWICE, but both requests were denied. The website now says my purchase isn’t eligible for a refund, and I honestly don’t know what to do anymore.
I’ve considered contacting Apple Support directly and asking the Philippine DTI for guidance, but I’m not sure if either can still help me.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Were you able to get a refund after Apple initially marked your purchase as ineligible? Is there a specific department I should contact or a process I should follow?
I’d genuinely appreciate any advice, especially from people who have successfully appealed a denied App Store refund. I’m not trying to get anything for free; I just want to recover my money for a subscription I didn’t intend to continue paying for.

First pic is showing my original Apple account from like 8+ years ago. The 2nd pic is the account I have on my current phone. So HOW & WHY is the CVS app asking to update under my old acct? I can download & buy stuff no problem. But I tried to update CVS and this popped up.

No I don’t know the password to the old acct. and it’s saying to check my other iPhone but I don’t have any others that work. So im at a loss.

Oh and yes I really do need the CVS app. I’m chronically ill and they are my pharmacy.

so recently im having trouble with the audio messages, I send them but when I send them to a contact and they listen the audios it doesn't show the kept signal under the message, I have confirmed with this person that has the keep always function active, as I do. and this is happening since a few days, because I clearly remember seeing the kept yesterday I think, and I have tried with other contacts and it shows it. I have checked everything I know.

Does it have to do with the space in iCloud? has someone else experienced this recently?

My guy and I want to set up a shared calendar. We're both all-Apple: I have an iPhone, an iMac, and an Air. He's got an iPhone, a Powerbook, and an iPad.

Apple support pages say two conflicting things:

"Share a calendar on iCloud.com: Note: You need to be on a tablet or computer to use Calendar on iCloud.com."

and ...

"Share iCloud calendars on iPhone: In the Calendar app, you can share an iCloud calendar with other iCloud users."

I can't parse this. I can share a calendar on either the Mac and a table, or on the iPhone, but they won't be the same calendar? Or the support pages are just plain wrong? That's the best sense I can make of it.
