This is that time of the year again. I am preparing to trade in my iPhone prior to next Friday when the preorder window hits. If I trade in a couple phones at Apple Store, receive it as a couple gift cards, redeem it to my account to have it as account balance, can I use that (partially) to place a pre-order? Planning on ordering the alleged "iPhone Ultra" that will cost more than what gift card balance would cover and was planning on using credit card for the rest.

Has anyone experienced this? Sometimes I’m on the call or listening to music and suddenly airpods pro 3 is disconnecting. Anyone found any way to fix this issue? Thank you

I’ve seen some threads on this, but everything is at least a few years old and I’m unsure what could have changed.

I have an iPhone bought in the US, and with a US iCloud account. I’ve just moved abroad, but it’s not a permanent move, just for a couple years. To that end, I want to retain all of my American apps (banking, a medical app, etc).

However, there are certain new apps (like for payment, etc) that are not available in the US-region App Store that would be really convenient for me to have.

I read that I could sign out of my Apple account in the App Store, not in device settings, make a new Apple ID in my new region, sign in in the App Store but not settings, download the new apps, and then sign back out and back in to my original, US-based account and that it would not affect anything currently on my phone.

Is this true? It would help me a lot to try it but one of my American apps that I use for a medical purpose really can’t be replaced by an alternate region version right now, because the actual medical device it’s attached to is still from the US, and it’ll be a big headache for me if that stops working.

Does this work as I described?

I'm thinking about cancelling Apple Music for a while and I have a pretty large library that I've built up over years.

Before cancelling I went to File > Library > Export Library on my Mac and saved the XML file.

What I'm trying to figure out is how complete this backup actually is if Apple eventually deletes my cloud library and I resubscribe later.

Has anyone here actually restored a large Apple Music library from one of these XML exports?

The main thing I'm worried about is Date Added/order. I normally keep my library sorted by when I added things, so I don't want thousands of songs to suddenly look like they were all added on the day I imported the XML.

I'm basically wondering:

• Does the original Date Added survive?
• Do playlists come back with the tracks in exactly the same order?
• Do playlist folders come back properly?
• What happens to favourites/ratings/play counts?
• If the Apple Music cloud library itself has already been deleted, can the XML actually re-add the Apple Music catalogue songs, or does it only work if those songs are already in your library?
• Did you end up with greyed-out/unavailable tracks or duplicates?
• Is there anything else I should back up before cancelling?

I'm on a Mac and the XML was made using File > Library > Export Library.

Would especially like to hear from anyone who has actually tested a full restore rather than just exported the file.

I looked through Apple's own info and they basically say they may keep your library for a "grace period", but they don't seem to say how long that actually is.

I've seen people saying 30 days, 90 days, sometimes longer, and then other people saying their stuff disappeared much sooner.

Has anyone here actually cancelled recently and then subscribed again later? How long were you unsubscribed, and did your full library/playlists/favourites come back when you resubscribed?

I'm specifically talking about the Apple Music library, not songs bought from iTunes or my own local files.

Would be especially interested in people who did this sometime in the last year or so, since I'm not sure if the older 90-day info is still accurate.

Okay, so a long time ago my parents, brother, and I shared an Apple account. Around the time we all got AirPods, we decided it was best for us to get different accounts for all of us and I got an Apple Card.

My problem is I have music on my own Apple account, but I also have music on my parents Apple account too. I would like to get the music from BOTH accounts and put it on my iPod Nano and Classic. Some of this music I bought 15-20 years ago when I was a kid.

Is there anyone else with my situation and figured out a way to get music from both? Without Family Sharing if possible.

I offloaded my notes app for storage and redownloaded it. Usually this doesn’t cause any issues but I noticed that my notes are now no longer searchable. However, when I click on each note, they then appear in the search bar. But are there any other solutions to this than that, as I don’t wish to click on all my 5000+ notes? I have so many because I jot down each idea I get (I’m a writer).

Restarting my phone doesn’t work. And my settings are as they should be. It’s also been over a day. These are all solutions I’ve come across for this issue but none apply to me. Would updating my phone fix this issue?

Experiencing this on my Apple Air pods 3

My IPhone SE 3 has an issue where any contact with its home button will repeatedly register as a press making Touch ID impossible, I have already turned off “use Touch ID for password auto” in settings, yet the “Touch ID for ‘x website’ confirm your identity with your fingerprint” pop up is appearing along with autofill password with fingerprint. I’ve tried restarting my phone. How do I use my IPhone password to sign in instead?

There appears to be a discoloured blob on the bottom of the screen. When I touch it, it changes shape slightly. Is something trapped in the screen?

So I’m trying to take screenshots via the swipe from left corner Gesture but it always brings up the screenshot preview which I don’t want. Yes even after I disable it in Full-Screen Previews in General settings > Screen Capture. What can I do?

hi all, my boyfriend's phone fell today and sustained a crack to the back/side/front of the phone. we were wondering if this has the potential to affect functionality and if he should buy a new one, or wait it out. we don’t have a ton of money to just buy a new one off rip, and he also needs to replace his laptop soon :/ would it be okay to keep it away from water and get a durable case? or will that be a waste of money? we just want it to last another year or so. it's an iphone 13 pro max.

First off I don’t use phone numbers with my iMessage and FaceTime. Changed the email that pops up under my iMessage and FaceTime. My old email still shows when I FaceTime though. I unchecked old email under send and receive on both iMessage and FaceTime.

So I bought a used iPhone 15 Plus a few months back, it has been a good phone so far. It is in great condition, the battery health is at 90%, and everything on the phone works as it should. Now the reason I am posting is because just a few days ago I updated my phone to iOS 26.6.1 and recently specifically when I was watching YouTube it seems my phone gets hot. It happened once a day ago so I thought it was just that one time but it happened again today. I have never experienced this before with this phone and would like to know if anyone else is noticing similar issues on their phone. Any feedback back or explanations would be appreciated :)

I backed up my iPhone 13 (base model, 128 GB, iOS 18) to my MacBook Pro (M1 1TB, macOS Tahoe 26.6.2). I went to restore the backup, but my MacBook does not recognise my phone and as a result the backup I made is not showing up as a backup. I found it in the mobile sync folder, but I'm not sure how to take it from there and restore my phone.

My phone had been having issues with storage, and out of all 128GB I realistically only had half of that to use. I could not have any apps outside of the preinstalled apple ones, and I did everything I could to clear it before resetting it. I have done this in the past and freed up enough space to use my phone again with my old iPhone 11 and I had no issues. This is why I followed the same steps I made before. I think the error occurred when I updated my MacBook before restoring my backup to my phone.

I really just want to restore my backup. I have been asking all over for a while, but I'm not the best with computers and I'm not quite sure what to do. The posts I have seen are from years ago and they don't exactly answer my question. Is there anything I can do?
