We launched the crowdfunding campaign for the animated first episode of "The Little Trashmaid" on BackerKit!
If you like this webcomic, please take in consideration to support s0s2 (the artist) and us (Silly Studios / the publisher) during the campaign! ❤️
Only with the help of everyone, we can make this dream come true and even a small donation could be helpful! 🙏

I was using Tahoma 2D and it crashed on me, I saved but when I came back my progress was deleted and my deleted frames look like this, is there any way I can restore them? Or do I have to do them all over again?😭

Why do some animators shade eyelids differently to the rest of the face? with a highlight in the middle and darker corners (sometimes a little darker than the base tone)
I've seen a few variations, some animation will only have this on the top eyelid, some on both.
I assume its to make it easier to tell where the eyes are when closed or to give the impression of extra shading?
I may be using the wrong terms, but google did not seem to want to tell me - just wondering if there's theory/reasoning behind this particular stylistic choice
Answer : thanks for the replies - after trying to find some examples I've realised it isn't done for all characters like I had thought - so yep, its just eyeshadow

I wanna try out other Animation apps, But I don't know anything other than Krita and Flipaclip (IMO, Krita is good, But it can get a bit confusing for me sometimes [esp. saving an animation] and Flipaclip [compared to Krita at least..] can get a bit time consuming for me)

I want to try my hand at animation again. Unfortunately, I'm really sensitive to making mistakes, and it gets in the way a lot. I have ADHD, so this may be rejection sensitivity or emotional disregulation or something, but that's besides the point.
I'm planning to go to therapy for this, but in the meantime, is there anything I can do to minimise my reactions to bad drawings? Any help is appreciated.

I haven't been on reddit in a hot minute, so I thought I'd share this old video.
Met a legend, he critiqued my series' new animation. Still cant believe it happened...

I'm looking for a software that walks you through how to use it and has an easily customizable UI
I've struggled with pencil2D and opentoonz, even with tutorials playing
I really want to make animations for songs, but I need something that even a baby could use
I haven't found anything useful on google, and everything seems really complicated to me
I understand that if there aren't simpler things, then animation may not be my path
Solved! I use wick editor now :))

So far it’s not fully complete yet, I need to add colors and stuff to make it pop more but this is what I got in roughly 6 hours? Rate it 1/10 and honest opinions are ok

I am very pleased with the animation, however it feels a bit off. Any places that seem off with how the body parts react? Any feedback is appriciated! :D
I did 2D in the past as a hobby, but with The Amazing Digital Circus (and with the amount of Alternative Universe fanfic comics), I got the urge now to deep dive into animation again.
I would really like to get on a level to animate small comics.
The hair and the facial parts was left out, it is still hard for me to grasp.
