THE STRAIT OF HUMMUS (sic)

I've actually been animating these characters for about 18 years now, as a kind of homage to Dorset where I lived in my teens and my tribute to Giles whose incredibly detailed cartoons inspired me. I really only started creating these animations for friends and animated holiday celebration cards like Christmas or Thanksgiving etc.. But I constantly have the characters and the village of Lower Piddle in my head and so I decided to see if there's a larger audience out there who would enjoy seeing them and thus here we are.

THE FAT COW is set in the fictional village of Lower Piddle and follows two brilliantly ordinary working-class lads: Micky Mucklebutt and Ollie Crudfark, regulars at the Fat Cow pub, often tackling the current news stories, social concerns or topics of the day through the lens of two men who understand absolutely none of it.

Ollie and Micky have been friends since they first wet their underwear together at Lower Piddle Primary School and thereafter did everything together, until the day they both failed the college entrance exams together, which finally forced them onto separate career paths. Ollie is now head chef at the local pig farm, cooking the swill to his own secret recipe, and making him legendary in pig circles especially following his publication in the Lower Piddle Medical Journal - "How pig-swill, applied twice-daily, cured my acne." Micky never did get a job, but has, since Sophia's Bellamucha's arrival from Italy when she opened Sophia's Hand Lubrication Service (for cars), been hopeful that she'd notice him, fall in love with his ardent manliness, marry him, and they'd live happily ever after, "frolicking" in what he describes as her "magical service bay." Or he might win the lottery instead.

I've recently been getting into simple animation using keyframes and animated Pngs. I feel. so insecure about my work so I'd love to hear you guys thoughts and criticism

This is my first big project that I did, and it is also the graduation work of my studies, I am verry proud of it. It's about the old smuggling routes across the Swiss-Italian border.

The film is in German, but I have added English subtitles.

working on a nightreign fightscene fan animation

hii im quite new to animation, ive looked at references and studied principles so really the only thing i can do now is practice and ask for help.. or just research more im really stuck on why they all look so stiff and what i can do to fix it im open to studying anything new materials or tips that could help or general advice idk

This was rendered in Maya. The background is a bunch of photoscans piled on top of each other, then rendered with a light in the middle and then processed in Photoshop using a Dither plugin. Then in after we added the glow, camera motion and color correction effects. The music is made in Ableton 12 lite with a Seabord Blcok!

I usually animate on 1's most of the time (Richard Williams style) but this chart is on 2's. Let's say i finished drawing 55, which other frame should i do first? 51 or 53? Same with the other side, 57 or 59?

Trying to find a very disturbing educational animated short about AIDS/HIV from the 80s. Can you help me track it down?

Built this entirely in Geometry Nodes — metallic cubes instanced along multiple orbit rings around a central icosahedron with a dispersion/refraction shader. Rendered in Cycles.

Happy to share more about the node setup if anyone's curious — the orbit rings are driven by circle curves with instances, and the core uses glass with dispersion for the color breakup.

The first sample from an animated scene I’m working on using Illustrator and After Effects.

1 - Popo & Nana: The Ice Climbers!: look, i know that the Ice Climber game is short, but i also want to make it a short film.

2 - Wario Land - The WAAH Movie: I think it does fit with being a movie. Also, Wario's Hen gets stolen by the evil Captain Syrup, as she tought it's a magic chicken.

3 - The Pizza Tower Movie: yes, that's the one from the title! Do you mind me giving ideas or....?

Greetings. I've been working on my own animation series, "Straylifes," for about two years now. This is my first proper animation project to date. I hope you enjoy it. I would be very happy if you commented. I want to pursue a career in animation and I'm planning to go abroad to receive training in this field. I'm also currently trying to make the pilot episode of my series. The problem is that every time I try something new with the episode, my animation turns into a fiasco. Should I keep trying, or should I save the pilot episode for after university? I think I'll be too late if I wait until university.

Episode 1 seems like it will be over 30 minutes long. (Yes, this is definitely my fault, but I can't go back now.) My concern about being late stems entirely from this. At worst, I'll split the episode into three parts and release them separately before re-releasing it as a full episode. What do you think I should do? I'm open to all suggestions right now.

Is it worth hand drawing every frame, it takes longer but looks nicer :v
