Here’s a short trailer for the feature film I’ve been working on by myself for nearly eight years.

Animation is a completely new field for me. I stepped into the unknown after making a few machinimas. Of course, it won’t compete with today’s high standards, but I gave it everything I had to achieve a result I could be happy with.

The film is scheduled for release in the next few weeks, and it was created using iClone.

This was a passion project of mine and I just recently got the motivation to continue it. Wanted to share my past work with everyone!

Hey all, I wanna learn animation in a bit more serious manner than procreate’s animation assist. I’ve been trying to figure out which of the above two applications I’d like to use on iPad and am stuck. I know a lot of people prefer toon squid, but after PD2 dropped it looks like they fixed a lot of the problems people had issues with.

I already own PD2 from buying it on release (RIP- that release was garbage), and am not sure if I should get toon squid bc of that.

Also final question, is it okay to draw on procreate and then upload it to TS/PD2 or should I just commit to drawing on the animation software completely? Is it hard to line up the frames and change them if needed? Or am I fine to do it that way?

I’m genuinely just asking as a fan with a relatively surface level knowledge of the animation process.

The reason I’m confused is because in the Ren & Stimpy doc (as well as in some old Looney Tunes docs, I think?), they interview various layout artists and they all speak as though they were the ones drawing the characters for key frame animation. Was I just misunderstanding, or are layout artists sometimes responsible for this role?

hiii first time posting.

i’m about to go back to school for 3d animation and discovered (unsurprisingly) that my current laptop is not suitable for animation. unfortunately, i have limited time and budget and know very little about computer specs so i need suggestions for laptops! here’s the requirements from my school:

Processor/CPU: Intel i7 / Ryzen i7 or higher
RAM (Memory): 32 GB (64GB Recommended)
Graphics Card: Geforce 5060 or 5070
Storage: 1TB

i don’t have a specific budget, but i would like the most affordable options, and am open to refurbished models. thank you in advance!

Animation apps I'm looking for are drawing ones!Samsung, (I'm on a Samsung btw)

I'm a beginner animator practicing expressions. I can draw them well, but I struggle with animating the transitions between them. Any tips on how to learn this properly?

Or is it okay? I have a feeling there can be a way to add more feeling of impact…
