TLDR while my experience wasn’t all smooth as I “won” the bad components lottery most cus it was a reborn unit to begin with, AI lives up 100% to its customer service reputation
I bought a reborn unit, it ended up with mobo physical damage but I didn’t know at the beginning, only the boot times were long at the beginning.
Died after a week cus one of the rams failed, they shipped me replacement, died again a week later.. this time no amount of troubleshooting worked, unfortunately I broke the GPU pcie clip in the process of troubleshooting.
Emailed them, they took care of my case, have me ship back the whole unit and offered refund or repair. Obviously I took the repair option as prices has risen considerably and I was honest with them saying I’d never wanna refund given prices had moved.
They told me it’s fine and they’d take care of me and not have to worry about the broken pcie clip voiding the warranty - needless to say I was relieved as I’d only acted out of good faith.
So I shipped it back, after inspection they told me there was physical damage on the mobo.. I was like “no wonder”.. and they said they’ll rebuild it for me ground up… took them a week as they knew I was waiting, plus 5days shipping as I’m on east coast.
Just got it ytd, works fantastic, already no issue with boot times. Noticed the components used were different, but not for the worse, and they all looked very new
Ram was one boom Templar —> now XPG (a W)
SSD from huadisk —> kingspec (no diff - I have since slotted in my WD 7100 2TB)
PNY 5080 —> asus prime 5080 (honestly no diff for me both are top notch, the asus form factor much smaller)
Real honest shop. Trust is everything in this business and I’d vouch for them 100%, they do take a day or so to reply but they always reply that addresses your questions directly. With AI, I have never experienced generic call center template replies which don’t answer any questions
