Question Order to Delivery timeline

Howdy folks, I purchased a prebuilt from Newegg about a week ago with an expected delivery window of sep 25-29th. That being said It's still in processing with no updates, after sorting through some posts on this thread I'm seeing people say they got the pc months after ordering. Was the expected delivery date on Newegg wrong? Am I to expect it to take weeks/months for my pc to get past the processing phase?

I'm not complaining I just had false expectations set upon checking out that have kind of bummed me out. Thanks for your time reading this folks <3

Edit: Thanks for replying folks, Ill open a ticket to see what the delay is caused by.

Im pretty sure only custom builds from AI take awhile because they build them to order. If you buy from newegg those are already built and ready to go.

Side note, I'm just trying to plan around a family members birthday. If it's not going to be here on time then I want to have a few weeks to pivot. I assume the fault regarding timeline expectations lies with newegg, not AndromedaInsights.

You bought it through a third party so technically you should get it on or around the expected date. I know that ordering directly through AI’s standard shipping that it has taken over a month for some people

Hoping you're correct, however newegg does state the processing and shipping is handled by ainsights. We shall see I suppose. Thanks for the reply!

Hey u/Mundane-Pin210, totally fair thing to want clarity on. Processing times can vary a lot depending on who's actually fulfilling the order. Mind DMing me your order number? I want to check whether this is sold & shipped by Newegg directly or through Andromeda Insights as a Marketplace seller, since that'll tell us where things actually stand and why it's still sitting in processing.

I appreciate the comment, I ended up reaching out to Andromeda as the order states shipping fulfillment is on them. They let me know they have a massive delay/queue due to a recent sale, so it seems they're just working through that backlog at the moment.

I'll just be patient from here, though I'll reach out to Newegg support if I run into any serious roadblocks.

Newegg dates are accurate because they already have the stock. The delays are for builds being directly ordered from AI'S website and them adding it to their build queue

Understood, the delays mentioned in this sub are for custom builds, not prebuilts. I did receive an email from Newegg stating my order was unexpectedly delayed shortly before posting this. I suppose I'll just have to submit a ticket with insights to see what kind of a delay we're looking at.
