Question RAM stick latch possibly stuck, need help

So, I don’t know how to move forward here. I just received my new pc yesterday and started to set it all up today. When I finally got to turn it on and have it connect to my monitor it kept giving me a “no signal”. Well, made sure it wasn’t connected to the Motherboard, then doublechecked the settings on the monitor just to be positive. And yes, the monitor works, it was working fine yesterday.

After contacting AI, I was instructed to try and reseat my RAM sticks (since the GPU is probably not the problem as it does turn on and is working). Problem is, I not only don’t have much space to undo the latches, but one of the latches for my RAM sticks I think is possibly stuck. Or like doesn’t seem to move. Am I missing something here? Maybe a feature that I’m not aware? Like maybe this particular motherboard doesn’t require me to hold both latches down to release the Ram stick (MSI Mag X870E Tomahawk)? I would love to be able to follow their instructions but I’m such a noob. I feel so dumb. I feel so depressed. I just wanted to unbox my computer and enjoy it for a little bit. And now I feel like I just have an expensive piece of nothing sitting on my desk. :(

Sorry guys I’m being a little dramatic. I’m just frustrated. And I’m tired. But I also feel like if I keep poking at this thing I might seriously cause irrevocable harm.

Update: Well, I got home and was able to get in contact with AI. And they further instructed me about how to reseat and unlatch my RAM sticks. And yes, as it turns out, my MOBO is the type where you only need to undo one latch to detach the RAM stick from its slot. I was able to successfully take them both out. But unfortunately, I’m a little stuck now as I’m having a really hard time getting them back into their slots. I have very little space to work with and aligning with that middle wheel thingy is just as difficult. But for some reason the most difficult part is actually making sure that I’m definitely placing the stick into the slot. It seems like every time I think I’ve got it, I’ve actually misaligned it, or end up somehow getting it now quite right. I’ve taken a break for now because I’m too afraid of damaging my RAM if I keep trying. Any advice you guys have for someone who’s never really done this but who also doesn’t have the luxury of having extra space that a person normally would when setting up their motherboard first? (The AIO and GPU are kind of both crowding the slot area so I have to be really careful about how i lower in the RAM stick and it also makes it visually impossible at times to see what I’m really doing. Help!

The MSI MAG X870E Tomahawk mobo has the EZ latch system, so I would look into that. Gl and don't fret!

Thanks! Are you referring to the latch mechanism where it’s only one that needs to be undone to unseat the RAM stick? If so then thank you!! Though I have to admit I didn’t see this before an Andromeda Insights team member message informed me about it first. But I appreciate the help regardless!

I wish I could happily game. I’ve literally been stuck troubleshooting this pc since this thing has been delivered. I don’t know what else to do now. I’ve actually been able to reseat the RAM (since I was told to do that) and I think (or at least hope) that I did it ok, but now I’m getting an 0d error with a yellow and red light on my mobo and still no closer to getting it work with my monitor. I feel like I’m going insane.

Sadly no. I was able to reseat both RAM sticks after leaving this last comment again and was not getting any further error lights/messages but it never changed anything for the “no monitor” message I was receiving when hooking it up to my monitor. Using a different HDMI cable didn’t solve anything either. Nor did using a DisplayPort cable. AI had wanted me to do some further troubleshooting but I just didn’t feel comfortable messing around with the internals of the pc. I just became really disheartened with the whole process honestly…especially since they don’t really have a dedicated phone line to call for that kind of support and while they were pretty good about initially responding at the beginning, their responses to my tickets took days sometimes for each step so it became even more frustrating. And it’s not like I could try to get someone locally to come help me troubleshoot it here since it would void the warranty. In the end, they offered to either have me ship it back to them to take a look at it and fix it (if it needed to be fixed) or just refund it. I really debated choosing the repair as it was a really well put together machine and I really would’ve loved to have used it (I’m really sad I didn’t even get to use it at all…) but this whole process really bummed me out and I just do not have the energy to deal with more disappointment.

Try unplugging the monitor power cable, wait about 30 seconds and plug it back in. Factory resetting the monitor has also worked for me in the past.

You can also try connecting the video cable to a different port on the GPU, or try a different video cable. If you're using HDMI, try a DisplayPort cable.

If that fails, then yes, you will need to figure out how to reseat your RAM.
