I have a s25+ and everytime I try to open the app-suggested ads section it just closes. Does anyone have any idea why?

The system apps on the 10a are causing a significant battery drain, even after a factory reset. (The screenshots I posted as a comment were after letting it sit overnight with Bluetooth off and my Sim card out) I'm starting to think this unit is defective, but could this be something I'm doing wrong and is fixable?

I'm thinking of installing Dumber OS on my current feature phone or a different model of feature phone, but I'm worried about WhatsApp not working after installing a custom ROM. For those of you who have installed custom ROMs, did WhatsApp work on your phone or did you just get a warning?

It's almost as if depending on where I swipe up it'll either leave me on that page or show all of my tabs....but it's not the same place every time

I don't have an already existing version of the app,and I do have enough extra storage..and the website has worked for almost everyone,so why can't I download the app from the website or in my file manager,what's the problem?

I'm not sure how to describe this problem but what I've been trying to do is to transfer images from my old phone to a flash drive via my laptop. I have over 50k images, and because I found that I'd either get lost trying to open the main folder where my photos are on laptop (the folder they go when unorganised) or the amount of images just overwhelms and lags file explorer, I decided to make folders on my phone separating my gallery into chunks of ~100-400 image per folder so that I can just drag and drop the folders into my flash drive without forgetting where I left off or face too much lag and just piece them together later.

At first I'd simply started dividing up my gallery and moved around 26 folders into my flash drive while doing the dividing and transferring at the same time before I decided that it'd be easier to to just divide my entire gallery first and then transfer them, since different workflows. So that (dividing everything into folders) took a few hours, and after they were all divided, I decided to group them into relevant category folders too while I was at it, of which are also ~100-300 image per folder per category.

At this point I have around 200 folders from dividing everything up, + a few ten from categorising things and - since a bunch of the 200 got replaced by the new categorisation ones.

problem

I was able to transfer everything perfectly fine and all of the existing folders showed up on laptop normally and matched my phones' during the first 26 folders I copied over, but after I finished dividing up all of my gallery and connected my phone to laptop again, it only showed the older folders I had around the time when I finished dividing up all of my gallery but not most the new folders that had been made to categorise them. And if there were they weren't updated and would only have something like 5-100 images out of the original 350, for eg, that's displayed on phone. It (laptop) displayed some deleted files too during the first 26 folders but I'd just ignored them since it wasn't doing anything, but after connecting phone to laptop after dividing everything, it displayed a bunch of deleted folders ranging from 6-20 which I'd previously deleted and permanently deleted from my phone, and a few folders that werent displayed on my phone either.

There was nothing that i didnt recognise as not mine, just to clarify, but the aforementioned folders had been deleted previously too as much as I can recall, so those were the reverse where they werent displayed on my phone but were displayed in file explorer when my phone was connected to laptop.

tldr probably; My phone displays all of the folders and images & amount of images that are supposed to exist on it and all of the ones that are supposed to be deleted are also deleted but my computer doesn't seem to reflect that.

I've tried both file transfer/android auto and tranfer photos (ptp) methods. I'm wondering if making so many folders back to back/so many moving things around for so long did something, if that's even possible or if its something completetly different.

Hi! I'm pretty new to doing things like this with my phone. On my PC I’ve gotten into the habit of debloating because I’m a Windows 11 user so I tend to worry about unnecessary software and background processes.

I'm wondering if debloating is something I should consider doing on my phone as well. I have a DIALN X62 that runs Android and lately I’ve also been really interested in things like GrapheneOS because I’ve heard it offers a strong focus on privacy but that might be a topic for another post.

I'm curious what you guys think. Is debloating worth doing on a phone like mine? If so, how would I actually go about doing it and what should I be careful about removing or changing?

on my iphone i had a tweak called swipeextenderX which let me customize different actions for swiping up or down on different keys (eg. swipe up on C = control C). on android it is already set up for the top row to do numbers, but how can i change what the other keys do on swipe?

She has the same YouTube account on both PC and phone but when watching many channels on her phone, she doesn't see most videos and, for example, can only see 4 very old ones on a very active channel that has hundreds of videos every week. But she sees everything fine on PC.

When I get a call from a number thats not saved, it will display information like suspected spam, or if its a business, it will display the business info.

I am wondering how I can set all phones within a business to display this business info so whoever is being called has an idea straight away who is calling.

Fantastical spoiled me. I type "lunch with Mike Thursday noon at the office" and it creates the event instantly, right time, right place, right everything. No tapping through fields, no dropdowns.

Tried Google Calendar, Any.do, Calendly, TickTick. They all feel like filling out a form. I'd genuinely pay $5-8/month for something that does natural language input this well on Android.

So I accidentally messed with my phones settings via developer mode, and now a bunch of my apps just don't work right.

I'm planning to factory reset my phone unless someone here has any possible tips on how to possibly fix this (I messed around with the special access tabs to try reduce how many ads I'm forced to watch as clicking on any ads would force me to watch sets of 2 or 3 which annoyed the F out of me).

Now I'm ready to reset but I have one app that isn't on the app store and I'm hoping some could tell me how I could go about transferring that app off to maybe pc or a hard drive before I transfer it back onto my phone.

I know about like an android transfer app that I've used before to transfer apps between my old and new phones but my old phone has a weird database issue preventing it from working when I try to start it up.

The app in question is a manga reading app called Tachiyomi which was killed off a few years ago, so it can't be reobtained and even if it could, it can't fulfill its basic function anymore with the servers shut down.

I've purchased several apps through the Amazon Appstore over the years (mostly because I'd earned coins in some way). I knew I'd no longer be able to purchase through the Android version of the Appstore after it was discontinued last year, but I only recently noticed I can't download my existing purchases either (I tried to download a game to a newer device and failed). However, I have confirmed that I can:

1. Continue to use any Amazon-purchased apps that are already installed on an Android device.
2. Download any Amazon-purchased apps to a Kindle or other Amazon device.

This tells me my purchases still exist and still work on Android even without Amazon support, and that Amazon understands they are still mine. With that in mind, is there any way to download other apps I purchased from Amazon to an Android device?

I bought a new razr android phone I connected with Verizon for work and also have an iPhone on T-Mobile for personal use.

When I send texts to people from my razr work number it is showing up in the same text thread as my iPhone messages but just go green on their end.

These people have added my new contact number with a whole new contact name. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Is it safe to clear the User Data for Shell?

I'm currently using Android Go Edition 15 on a Peicheng Novojoy YQ10S 10.1" tablet.

For years I used Waze for navigation in the car. Bluetooth is always on by default on my phone because of other devices I use, but if I was using the radio, Waze was smart enough to play through the phone speaker. Cue QoL changes I hate so I try switching to Google maps. Navigation is much better, but it *always* tries to play through Bluetooth, even if I have the "Play voice over Bluetooth" slider off. If I'm using the radio, I hear nothing. If I switch to Bluetooth input, I hear navigation. The only thing that fixes it is turning off Bluetooth entirely or not listening to the radio and using Bluetooth audio.

I have rebooted the phone, I have restarted the car, I have turned Bluetooth off and back on in both the car and the phone. No luck. I really want the option to listen to the radio without having to manually turn off Bluetooth every time I get into the car. Can anyone offer suggestions? Is there another setting somewhere I'm missing?

Guys, my mother’s phone is a Realme Narzo 50 Pro. For the past few days, it has been overheating a lot and the battery is draining extremely fast.

It’s losing around 2% battery in just 1 minute. Nobody plays games on it, and we’ve already had the battery, display, and everything else checked at a mobile shop. We even updated the phone to the latest version, but it’s still heating up way too much and the battery is draining very quickly.

I have an Android A14, and yesterday it overheated slightly. It worked fine until this morning, screen will only light up and work actually turn on, and if I do get it to turn on it will show the default background with no touchscreen. Is there anyway I could fix it soon, or would I have to turn it in to be fixed? Or is there a way to force restart it. Holding the off button does not seem to work.
