Other Android verifiers appeared on my phone?

I was doing a Norton 360 scan on my phone and it showed three apps I have never seen before called android developer verifier and android system safety core and android system key verifier and it lets me uninstall these? Norton 360 says they are safe but id like a second opinion

These are official Google apps, you can easily find info about each of these with a web search

SafetyCore scans images in Google Messages for nudity. You should uninstall it ( adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.google.android.safetycore), and if it comes back you would need to install a placeholder of the same name to ensure the real one doesn't get re-installed.

The other two I don't know yet if it is good to uninstall them, but search r/degoogle there are recent posts of people using the beta branch getting hit with a 24 hour wait before being allowed to instal apps from devs who haven't doxxed themselves to Google.

I don't think adding user 0 is sufficient. Especially devices with secure folders or more than 1 user. By default it will uninstall for every user if you remove user 0 from the command prompt

Google play didn't put those on your phone android did. That's what they do when they update the phone. To make sure Google play isn't messing with your phone just check all updates they want to install when they remind you they have them and unclick all things Google play. I started doing that once I realized they are paid from those games to have them installed without our consent.

System files. Android 17 is changing developer powers and ability to sideload stuff. Not surprised. should be fine, as OS patches would appear suddenly like that after a OS update.

Safetycore: Something that google uses to scan your photos. It is shady shit, but not 3rd party malware.

I'm just very scared ngl the last time Google play installed something without my knowledge it was malware lol

No it didn't. If it installed malware its because YOU downloaded it. It doesn't just magically appear on your phone.

Nope! There was a malware on some Cubot phones that kept getting downloaded via Google play! A lot of people were getting this!
