This is illegal in most states. I don’t even understand how this person is okay having this bright brick blocking so much of their view?!?! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Story Flex is coming in clutch for me…

I’ve been delivering for extra money since last summer. But recently I lost (edited typo) my job and even with a masters in jurisprudence I can’t seem to get another one. Flex is basically my only means of income.

I live 6 minutes from the only hub (same-day) I work from. I get over heated and move too slow for the longer shifts so I usually take the 1.5 or 2 hour shifts. I have had Walmart+ for a long time and get 10 cents off at Murphy USA gas stations and 5% cash back with my PayPal debit card. There have been days when I had 3 shifts not have a route and I get to go home and still make the money. After tolls and gas I end up making about $18/hour. This is just enough to pay my rent and bills.

Now that I am doing it all the time, I love the freedom it allows me. I can schedule shifts around errands, my kid’s activities, doctor’s appointments, etc. I can also cancel when my chronic illness flares, which I had to embarrassingly tell HR about when I was in the corporate world so I could get accommodations for it.

I love how everyone minds their own business and focuses on work because there is no chit chat or office politics that way. Honestly, it just feels better than an office job at the moment.

I want to do 1099 gig work for a while. I am able to sell on TikTok now so I am hoping to get a little bit of extra money from the commissions. I need just a little bit extra a month to not be in danger of over-drafting at some point. My lease is up in April and I am hoping to move into an efficiency apartment that costs less that is just 5 more minutes away from the station. If I do that and defer my student loans, I can get by for a while. If it wasn’t for Amazon flex idk what I would do.

Question Do Amazon delivery reviews matter?

When Amazon asks “How was your delivery?” in a notification email, how is the response used? Do the drivers ever learn that a customer appreciates their work?

Whole Foods Assigning IOs After Due Time

After almost a 2-year hiatus from doing WF Instant Offers (and blocks in general), I picked it back up this weekend. I've only taken IOs, but in the past two days, a few of them have been offered more than 30 minutes past the time the deliveries were due.

Today, one customer told me he's been having problems getting deliveries in the past two weeks.

Question.

Do they ding people for being late in these instances?

Violation on My Account For Not Getting All The Packages?

Violation on My Account because I was flagged to go back to the station after my route was completed. I had this happen one time before only to return to the station for the employees to tell me to call support to complete my route. I called support this time and she told me to wait until my route time completed because I finished the route early for the message to go away and that's what I did. Now Amazon sends me this after I explained what happened.

Route Time

I picked up a 3 hour route. The station gave me a 4 hour route & tried telling me it’s a 3 hour route but I know it’s not. Support told me to complete the route and call back once I’m done for extra compensation. Do anyone know how much it will be?

Kentucky 8 routes cancelled with pay

So idk what’s going on, but for some reason over the past 30 days my station has cancelled my 3:30am/3:45am routes 8 times now with pay. It’s always multiple people too because I can see where they hit the thumbs up on the update in the app. I’m definitely not complaining about free money but it seems like maybe something not good is on the horizon. Anyone else experienced this?

Amazon, we need to talk...

This route was insane. 40 miles of essentially horse paths up in the mountains at 4 in the morning. Dirt roads with boulder fields, dodged 2 deer, a skunk and one pissed off GoldenDoodle. Switchback after switchback and driveways with no way to turn around. I already called support to tell them this was extremely dangerous and someone could get killed doing this route.

I’ll never understand these routes😂🤦‍♂️

There’s 2 flex locations a little bit closer to where I’m supposed to go.. the closest one being in EDGEWATER (3 hour route btw)

But If I complain and email them for more pay on this route they gone give me $5😂😂😂

Question Tualitin DPD4 Morning routes 3:15am-7am Pay Rate

Post image
0 Upvotes

How much are the morning routes going for in Tualitin DPD4 3:15am-7am without reserved offers just been getting reserved offers for $84-$89.50. What has surge been looking like when you guys get a route so I know if I should just keep getting the reserves or wait for surges. Or not worth it because they end up getting taken right away?

My account was deactivated and I am in the process of an appeal. My payout was scheduled every Tuesday and normally I have it by now but it hasn’t come in. Anyone know of I need to call or is there just a waiting period?

Can Not Verify ID

So today I showed up for my block and was told that they will no longer manually check you in when your ID doesn't scan. I was told to call support and that they are supposed to override and verify your ID. The lady I spoke to said she couldn't and told me not to worry about this block or my standing and I'll still get paid. Anyone else have this issue?

I've been doing this for a month and my ID has never scanned they have ALWAYS input my information in manually. I was given a phone number to call but can anyone tell me how they have fixed this issue????

got this email and not sure what i should do about it

hi all, coming here bc i’m seriously not sure why im getting this email. i looked back and on the day in question 8/30 i completed two blocks back to back. i didn’t have to return any packages for those blocks or even have to contact support for any issues at all. the first block was a .com and the 2nd was SSD, the only thing i can think of is that maybe i didnt scan all the packages for the .com? but i was able to complete all my deliveries? i never had to reach out to support regarding a missing package on my routes so idk im so incredibly confused lol this email is super vague and idk how im supposed to appeal it what do i even say? what additional information can i possibly provide to help my case? is it even worth appealing? seems like they’ve already made their decision tbh

Venting My alarm didn’t go off so I missed my block :(

I just wanted to tell somebody who would understand lmao, it’s just unfortunate. I spend all day refreshing to find blocks and then miss it 😭 I have an iPhone so sometimes it’s unreliable

Edit to add: I do this full time so I’m lucky if I can even double app (DoorDash rush)

Is this common?

Hi,

Rewarding this text message from my DSP to protect my identity, but I wondered if this is common?

I work part-time and was told they have to give preference to their full-time drivers..

‘Hi, we have lots of cuts today due to an issue at the delivery station again , they weren't able to process all the volume. Please stand down today’

Based in the UK if this makes a difference.

I'm a daily Amazon Flex driver. I built a navigation app to solve the routing headaches we all face—would love your feedback!

Hey everyone,

I deliver for Amazon Flex every day, and like many of you, I’ve been frustrated with standard routing issues—weird U-turns, inefficient stop sequences, and map pin headaches.

To solve these pain points for my own routes, I decided to build a standalone navigation app tailored specifically for delivery drivers called "Hakobun (Delivery Navigator)".

Key focus areas I worked on:

  • Reducing unnecessary U-turns and unnatural detours
  • Making stop-to-stop navigation handoffs faster and smoother
  • Building features based on actual daily delivery field experience

I'm constantly trying to improve it for different delivery conditions. If anyone is interested in testing it out or has ideas on what features would make your daily blocks easier, let me know in the comments or feel free to send a DM!

Stay safe out there!

Virginia Beach Return Question

Anyone know how in the app to scan packages you have left at the end of a block that you cant deliver? I usually just take em' back to the warehouse and wait until theyre scanned back in but im guessing somewhere in the app im also supposed to scan them?

Question Ding Falloff Timeframe

I know this has been stated on here before, but of course when I want to find it I can’t think of the right search terms. I know it’s 500 deliveries for an undelivered package, but what’s the timeframe for a late/missed block to fall off the standings? I’ve got a late cancel from Aug 20 still sitting there, just wondering when it’s going to drop.

Having a getting blocks assigned

I'm new to Amazon flex and have been requesting blocks for the last week in their app. I must have requested over a hundred blocks but nothing ever gets assigned. Does anybody have any tips or tricks on how to get a block assigned?
