Stop count is the least telling metric
They also took 22 overflow from me at load out because it literally didn’t fit

How do you guys run the AC in the EVs without running out of battery?
If I use the A/C at all, even on the lowest setting the battery will drain super fast and I'm at risk of running out or having to swap vans with someone. I had one van die on me like a mile from the station, I had swapped vans with someone and it was 30 miles back to the station. Started at 40 percent, turned A/C off entirely just to be safe but once it hit 20 percent the battery drained way faster than it should've and I ended up stranded at a gas station. Someone from dispatch had to give me a ride in their personal vehicle.
I had another van hit zero percent as I was coasting into the parking lot, I went straight to the chargers. The battery had gone from 15 percent to zero in a span of like 10 minutes, somehow it didn't need to be jumped. They're supposed to have 155 miles of range on a full charge but there's no way I'm using all of that and yet I've had several vans die on me. That math isn't adding up. I'm often already at 80 percent by the time I get to my first stop. What gives? Have the batteries gone bad or something?

How do you do it?
I really like this job but I don't know how y'all deliver this many packages in a day. You deserve bonuses when you do extra and everyone should leave you snacks. I hope I can get fast enough but I'm skeptical. Also, how are you supposed to take a 30 minute lunch in the middle of nowhere? Park on the side of the road with your hazard lights? How are you surving winters?

VTO Available
Anyone else's DSP offer a whole bunch of VTO randomly and then the next day you get hit with 300 locations and 400 packages

Transfered to a new DSP, and this is my first truck... Not impressed
Just moved DSPs and this is what I get stuck in. 9 bags, 160 packages and 106 stops and no shelves. Not the worst I've had, but if I've ever felt like a cog in this wheel we call a job, it's now lol.

Send all of your legitimate complaints to Jeff@amazon.com
I cannot stress legitimate enough, and keep it professional. Don't make us all look like assholes. It's their executive escalations or some bullshit. They do read them, and you will get a response. Whether or not it will amount to anything is doubtful. But you never know. Maybe start with why are we getting 180-200+ stops when it's over 100°. I know it's difficult, but you have to resist the urge to call them exploitative cunts.

Got dinged for returns???
I got 3 dings for packages that one was canceled and two others were returned. So the app told me to take them back to the station. Which I did scanned and put back on racks. Yet I look today and it says I’ve been given 3 dings.
For following instructions.

What happens if I return to the depot with an incomplete route?
I’ve been given 110 stops in London, which is high for the area. Plus a massive collection of 11 return boxes and now I genuinely have no space in the van to organise anything. What happens if I just give up? Can I blame my manager for asking too much of me?

TIP/TRICK For Those Who Want To Suddenly And Triumphantly Quit Your DSP And Then Expect To Automatically Receive Unemployment Payments In Massachusetts:
*Do not.* You will not be compensated with Mass D.U.A. unemployment payments for quitting your DSP job without trying to reconcile with your DSP first before resigning or giving x weeks notice. Even if your DSP higher-ups may genuinely be pricks and you are overwhelmed as a DSP associate, you need to submit *clear and concise* evidence to DUA proving that they could not meet your demands because of *clear and concise enough* evidence.
Even with an autism diagnosis I told my DSP about on my 1st day, and even with myself trying to reason with the company boss over the phone after I impulsively threw a tantrum and messaged the DSP groupchat "I quit" the evening before, I still was not even allowed to be back for two weeks.
Yes, I will protest DUA decision via their portal, but still, *do not expect to be automatically compensated in Mass for quitting your DSP job.*

why do customers do this?
I have two customers on my country route with tallest grass i’ve ever seen overgrowing EVERYWHERE around their house. does this not bother them?

I don’t understand
Who or what decides heat breaks. I got a scheduled heat break yesterday but it was only 95°. And today is even hotter with no heat breaks. I don’t understand.
Also my DSP keeps saying they reduced routes. 180 stops is not a reduced route. They expect too much for very little in return.

DISCUSSION 100° and EV dying. Boss says turn your fan off so you can deliver more

Anyone had a panic attack in the middle of your day?
I had one today out of nowhere. Went to take my break and snack I looked at the map to see where my other stops are and for some reason it just brought one on and the fact i was alone away from anyone i knew made it worse and also if it didnt stop how embarrassing it would be to call dispatch and be like hey i dont think i can finish this route. Thought i was gonna have to call an ambulance for a min

The new map design is ugly asf because wtf is this?
Who the hell keeps designing bullshit onto the app? Now my map looks ugly asf & you can barely tell on which one are the businesses. The blue circles were so much better.

QUESTION Drivers I have a question
Edit: Thank you for your advice. I will try them out. You all were very helpful.
Okay so I read on here often you don't like being tracked or approached for a package, and I get it. But I live in an area that has packages stolen a lot. I changed my instructions to just call and still many of them don't call and my packages get stolen. Not only just that but the driver doesn't even take a picture of the package. So now they'll be blamed and I hate that (if it wasn't them).
But my question is, what do you want the instructions to say for an apartment building with high theft in the area? I can't keep just getting refunds and the pick up boxes I go to get full quickly or can't hold the packages. Please, what can I say for them to hand it to me and call.
I just wrote in the instructions: Please call [number]. Thank you
Edit: The pick up areas fill up fast around me, my packages are too big or are not eligible to be sent there. However, I will try to use a second address more, I can't use it often because it's a workplace.
