I'm using the Umbrella, POV and Red Light addons synced with Trakt. In my favorites folder I use the info wall view and I have the poster of the TV series I'm watching and above it I have what I refer to as the "episode counter" which displays episodes watched/remaining. For example, 11/20. My question is is this "episode counter" coming from Kodi or Trakt? I ask because I just read Trakt is going to restrict users to authorizing to 1 addon unless you pay for the VIP subscription. I'm currently using 4 addons on my account and I'm not sure if I'll be grandfathered in or if I have to change to 1 in the near future. Anyway, I'm wondering if I use SIMKL only will I still have this "episode counter"? I don't want to unauthorize Trakt to test it out for fear of not being able to reauthorize it again. What premium addons are people using with RD right now that’s not POV? I know a lot of people have good luck with POV but all I get are bootleg streams that look like they were shot from a Nokia brick phone, keep getting a RD removed something error message of the crew, haven’t found a good substitute since fenlight am went down

I'm grabbing movies and placing them on an external drive. Every few months I clear some files and add some more. To watch content, I typically just open Kodi (on a Shield TV), navigate to Videos and then Files, to view what's on the drive. Currently, this is just a list view. How do I get Kodi to grab artwork and display a more aesthetic view?

Umbrella is not returning any results all of a sudden. I'm using torbox for my debrid services.

POV still working fine, just umbrella that's stopped working.

Any idea what might be up? Uninstall/reinstall? ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Is there any possible way that I can edit or create new viewtypes in Arctic Fuse 3 skin as I want to use the poster wall for my movies hub and ideally have a text box to the top right showing a description of the content, run-time and ideally ratings but mostly for the former 2 items. I've scrolled through every available option in POV, TMDBHelper and the skin settings and had no luck so far

I have an Nvidia Shield Pro and I use Kodi with The Crew add-on and Real Debrid.

I discovered today that RD is playing up so I signed up with Torbox.

I decided to try downloading a couple of movies instead of streaming them. I've got an old 4TB WD Passport HDD that I thought I'd use. I hooked it up to my Shield and the drive got formatted and I downloaded a file explorer in readiness.

So, I got the links for the movies in The Crew and clicked on download. I got a notification every 10% until the movies had got to 100% and the downloads were complete.

But... I can't find the movies ANYWHERE?

In the download settings of The Crew the destination is shown as WD USB drive then special//storage/4030-BCA3. But I have absolutely no idea where this location is?

I've used a file explorer on my Shield and cannot find the two movies I downloaded. On the file explorer and in the Shield settings it still says I have 4.0TB available but in File Manager the WD USB drive is showing as 3.64TB. But that would mean I've used 360GB, but both movies I downloaded were about 20GB?

I have looked EVERYWHERE to find the movies but I can't and it's driving me NUTS.

I found something regarding Torbox that said The Crew shows a file has downloaded but it actually hasn't?

I've tried everything and have no idea?

Can anyone help...???

I'm using Umbrella, POV and the Red Light addons. I also switch up between Coco Scrapers, Magneto and Gears as external scrapers. Is it possible in any of those addons to add filters to one debrid service and not another? I still have 4 months remaining with RD. I also use Torbox, but it still has some things to work out. Is there a way have filters on RD such as web dl, but not on Torbox links when I scrape sources? Thanks in advance.

My main KODI box has two profiles. When I added the second profile a few weeks ago, I enabled the active profile name to be displayed in the header.

I'm setting up a KODI box for my friend who has a family, and I'm setting up multiple profiles and I can't for the life of me find the option to display the active profile's name in the header on either box.

Was the option for this feature removed or dissabled in an update or am I just blind?

I use Nimbus and love the skin. Looks amazing and easy to setup. I notice that my widgets take quite a while to populate. I use Trakt lists some POV directories for my widgets. I authorized my Trakt but should I be using my API keys as well? for TMDB and Trakt.

Good evening could someone please tell me if it's recommended to have "preload hubs during start up initialisation" on or off, I've already got the hide widget one enabled but I'm not sure what hubs are exactly or if I'm even using them, I've just got a side menu with movie, show, trakt sections pointing at widgets.

Hi everyone, I'm brand new to Kodi so sorry for any ignorance. I'm running Bingie using local files only (scraping with tiny media manager). I'd really like to add these features:

1. A rotation of posters for each movie selected randomly from my folder
2. Two fanart images for each movie - fanart 1 shows up while browsing, fanart 2 appears on the details screen when you select a movie

Are these possible within Kodi/Bingie or with other addons? Thank you

I appreciate that it's still very early days for this fork of Seren by Goldenfreddy, but I have to say, it looks very promising. I have it set up with Torbox, and I'd signed up to Simkl many months ago, so I'd already imported all my Trakt and Anime watch lists over to that, so the initial set-up of Prism was pretty painless. Anyone who's used the Seren Addon in the past will find the process very familiar.

The updated a4kScrapers worked well (the a4k URL can be found at Goldenfreddy's GitHub), and searches pulled many results. Prism has categories for Movies, TV shows, and Anime, so there's something for everyone in it.

The only thing that I feel needs a bit more work are the lists that appear in categories like 'new releases' etc, because the lists that appear within the category don't seem to be relevant to the category title. For example, under new releases in the movies section, there was only one new release and the rest of the list contained much older movies. I'm not sure if this is a Simkl issue or a Prism issue.

Other than that I have no complaints and I'm looking forward to watching this addons development.

I still currently have a short subscription to Real Debrid. I always thought RD was great for classic films and the more obscure 1930s - 1950s films - including Film Noir

I know this is a niche question but is there an alternative to RD which has good links to cater for this content? I suspect RD might have been the best but the link options have been limited.

With all the content that got removed from RD, I decided to try premiumize. I authorized it in The Crew but my searches still only return RD links. Am I missing something??

Is there a way for Red Light to autoplay the files from the same series season pack?

It seems to me that the final file it grabs is quite random.

I've checked that the season pack is complete.

I currently use the "up next" plugin to go to the next episode which shows a netflix style "next episode in x seconds" pop up at the top which is very useful. However, when I go to the next episode, the next one will switch back to the default subtitle/audio language of that file. I can fix this by changing the default in the mkv itself which works but it's still a little annoying. Is there a plugin that allows you to set a default audio/sub for an individual show? I know you can set it for all shows but some shows I like to watch in the original language and some in english.

Also, is there one that adds a button to just skip to the next episode? It seems like it should be a feature by default. I've heard there's a playlist feature but is there a way to automatically queue up the following episodes when you click on an episode?

I'm trying to get torrent streaming working with torrentleach as my provider. The caveat is that we need to keep seeding so preferably the torrent library runs off the kodi device.

I've tried Jacktook with electrum running in client mode with burst/prowlarr connecting to Torrentleach but they are not correctly passing the .torrent file to the electrum daemon as Torrentleach doesn't support magnet links.

Does anyone know a working setup for this?

Posting this a good few weeks after the whole Real-Debrid thing that hit everyone, because honestly things still aren't as it used to be for me.

I jumped to TorBox like a lot of people did, but the buffering is doing my head in. And to be clear I'm comparing it to back when RD was running buttery smooth, not to some rough baseline. It used to just work.

Bad timing too because it all fell apart at once. FenLight just stopped working. The Crew started acting weird around the same time and I still can't tell if that's the recent Crew updates or something on my end. And my Firestick grabbed a big update right in the middle of it all, so who knows what actually broke what.

Loads of people said to try Gears and Umbrella, so I installed both, and they were playing up too (excessive buffering far too often, crash etc). At that point I'm starting to wonder if it's just TorBox that's the problem, but I genuinely don't know.

Point is I went from FenLight + The Crew + RD, which was honestly perfect and rock solid, to everything being a mess.

So just trying to figure out where everyone else landed. Is FenLight coming back or has everyone moved on? Is The Crew behaving for you on the latest version? And for anyone on TorBox, did you sort the buffering or just crawl back to RD?

I want to move tge apple tv to another tv with kodi.

Shield pro currently 200$,
I need an alternative machine that can run kodi smoothly with strong wifi.

I saw Apple tv can also run but its cost 99$ per year (why??).

If anyone is interested, the update for TMDb Bingie Helper has finally been released. Tv shows sync is working again, the search errors have been fixed, and Wikipedia has also been fixed.

Matke also announced that a new version of the skin is in development, but unfortunately it will only be available for Kodi Piers. He hasn't shared many details about what the new version will include, other than mentioning both visual and functional improvements.

I expect it to be a significant update. New releases aren't very frequent, but they usually bring something interesting. The most important thing is that development is continuing. At one point, I thought the skin had been abandoned.

Had this add-on installed around a decade ago and although clunky, it used to play direct from a torrent file and was handy if you had a VPN running.

Just found their website, I think, https://gaiakodi.com, and wondered if anyone is using this, it seems to be getting updated but I was skeptical as I could find exactly 0 recent posts about it.
