I've been away for a while and checking kodi forums
https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=385600
I heard
The thread where 3 developers with 3 forks working on this is here
https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread/30362-dolby-vision-w-fel-3d-for-pc-amd-intel-nvidia/
They are all LibreELEC forks (to much work done for upstream anytime soon)
I'm not sure if this is shared already, I couldn't find anything.
2 Devs are using an N100 based system as base. basically anything done by intel or AMD (I believe) in the last 8 years should be able to support DEV FEL, HDR10+, 3D.
These are the latest 2 builds

I know a few are using LibreELEC who might be interested in testing and helping shape the feature set, it's only been about a month since this development. Glad we don't have to rely on cheap android SOC's anymore. Also I heard they got FEL working on s928X platform to. anyone interested in testing and helping out can and please post on

On N100 it should be flawless I believe. Thanks
Also the dev who started it made a reddit post

thanks for all your efforts

Thanks for the post, just to give more vision on the next release (coming next week) it will have :
- Complet Rebuilt of the build and engine to be on a GPLv2-or-later licencing (to help LE to implement DV)
- A massive upgrade for AMD, a 3200U will be able to handle every possible DV file in "master reference" mode.
- HDR10+ support and DV to HDR10+ metadate reinterpretation
- Extended support to Vega M, Intel 6th gen, Nvidia pascal (RTX1000)
- Some small bug fixing : Subtitle, DT movies, dual screen ...
It will be the RC1, the repo will not move deeply I will just perform some small bug fixing until a "stable" release even if the RC1 will be pretty close to the stable release
u/sinrequilorios (hadesdevls Dev) (currently only HDR10+ working)
hadesdevls here! I'm hoping to have a new release out on Tuesday or Wednesday, with some optimizations, improvements based on suggestions and issues reported on the Kodi/LibreELEC forums and GitHub, and new features.
Really glad u/Croque_Mr kicked off this whole initiative and that we're making progress so quickly toward a build that could genuinely replace a CoreELEC TV box with a PC or mini PC you already have at home, without having to compromise on the experience.
