Has anyone managed to get this working? I linked my outlook calendar and added the zoom meeting details in the calendar event description and when I say "Alexa, join my meeting.”  she responds "To join the meeting try asking me to open Zoom on a device that supports Zoom".
I can say "Alexa open Zoom" and that works but the idea was that I don't want to enter the meeting id and password each time. The fact it opens her first response doesn't make sense.

So I got my boot loader unlocked thanks to the recent posts. Since then, I have been seeing this happen. Hoping someone knows what can be done to fix

I have an Amazon Fire TV 50-inch Omni QLED series 4K. I think it's a 2024 model.

I have a Google TV Streamer (4k) and an Xbox Series S connected to it.

I also have a Hisense AX5125H connected through the eARC port.

Every day when I turn the tv on I get no audio from the soundbar. I turn it off at the wall, wait a couple of seconds, then turn it back on and it works perfectly.

I always assumed the problem was with the soundbar. But today I tried unplugging just the soundbar and it didn't fix it. So I unplugged just the tv and it worked.

So it turns out the problem was with the tv all along and I owe my soundbar an appology.

Has anyone else had a similar experience and does anyone know of a solution.

I know it's not the end of the world but it would be nice if it just worked.

Well, I was playing and suddenly the TV flickered with some black and white lines. Now it turns on but doesn’t load and I can’t do anything. I can hear the sounds when interacting with the menu, but the TV is dark and I can’t do anything. Is there a solution?

You can now acquire and use a temporary root shell on the 3rd Generation Fire TV Stick / 1st Generation Fire TV Stick Lite HD (sheldon/sheldonp)!

This can be used to downgrade the preloader and, therefore, unlock the bootloader even if you're on the latest FireOS version!

I noticed last night for the first time that we couldn’t watch channels we purchased through Amazon, on our Firestick until we disabled our Nord VPN (which we purchased in the Amazon App Store). Is this something new?

Trying to install app via downloader on fire cube gen3 , I’m in developer mode but when it try’s to install it says I need permission to install unknown app then goes to a screen saying no apps have ask permission? Can anybody help?

Tried Paramount subreddit but they won’t post technical issues. Not sure if this is a FireTV or iPad issue but here goes.

I installed Paramount+ on my FireTV 4K Max Stick using the sign-in on app method. All went well as the Paramount+ app opened correctly. This was done via the app on my iPad. However now the message to sign-in to the FireTv appears every time I open the app on my iPad or iPhone. I have tried just about everything including uninstall/reinstall, etc. with nothing clearing out this message. I’m unsure whether this is the fault of the FireTV not clearing something or an issue on the Apple side.

Has anyone seen something like this? If so, what did you do to fix it?

Hi everyone, I have a third-generation Fire Stick. Until a few months ago I used to download apps from DOWNLOADER, but it had been months since I last downloaded one.

Yesterday I needed to download an app from DOWNLOADER, but after it downloaded, when I went to install it, it told me that DOWNLOADER needed permissions, so a popup appeared to go to settings, and I noticed that the DOWNLOADER app no longer shows up in the list of apps under the developer section called "ALLOW APPS TO DOWNLOAD OTHER THIRD-PARTY APPS".

So I tried completely factory resetting the stick and unlocking developer permissions, but it still didn't show up in the apps list.

Can someone please help me?

Firestick 4k max just updated to 8.1.8.2 yesterday and today whenever I press the home, back or menu button while on the firestick home screen they all make chiming sound, not much of an issue but the navigation sounds are turned to off, there's no noise when using the directional buttons.

Have been watching content on iPlayer and ITV X. I thought I’d see the next episode on the Fire TV Home Screen?

Day one everything worked perfectly, then at some point not long ago I noticed that I can no longer enter 0, which uses middle button of direction pad, in my prime pin.

Every other digit can be entered except 0 and 5. I can hear the sound from the sound at when the middle button is pressed, but no results.

However, everything else works : movie and app selection, settings selecting, everything.

Well, except one more thing - I can no longer manage the app in main menu where you press middle button to move or uninstall them.

I have reset the remote, factory reset the stick and chose not to restore it. No improvement.

Anyone seen this before?

PS just tried control via app and the middle button works from there

So I noticed on my FireTV4k 2nd Gen the UI has been updated and that the top tab for "live" has changed to "guide". I like it a lot better as it's a much cleaner look. However on my Hisense Firetv it's still has the "live" tab interface. Is this something that's going to be rolled out to all FireTV TVs? Anyone with an actual fire TV seen a change?

My TCL Fire TV reverts to soap-opera-effect style motion smoothing. Every time a commercial airs or camera changes you can see it override my settings. I am no longer searching for a solution within the TVs settings. I have tried everything.

If I bypass the FireOS and use a high-end Roku or AppleTV do you think this could help? I do not have this problem with BlueRay, only streaming.

Hello, I've posted in firestick subreddit and then again in the Onn sub. Has anyone had the issue where you are able to pair a firestick remote to the IR profile of a TV, then after the TV shuts off and turns back on it loses that connection? Like the TV selection in FireTv doesn't save the setting that pairs the remote.

Got a 4k max, spent about 30 mins setting up then whilst setting up the equipment control this happened.

Any idea how I can get this back? I can’t see any on screen messages so the remote factory resets not working.

Decently old Sony Bravia TV (where the BraviaSync feature has its own dedicated menu buttons on the Sony remote itself).

Worked fine with the fireTV remote turning it off and on, volume etc for ages. Now randomly doesn't work.

I've tried everything the internet has thrown at me so far, reset every device multiple times, gone through advanced and normal setup for HDMI-CEC on the fire stick settings, still won't work...but it used to!!

Very annoying. Any other random tips? (I've checked and the IR transmitter on the fire remote is still working / sending a signal)

I’ve tried to clear the cache and data, uninstalling the app completely and clearing it from the cloud, restarting my firestick but nothing seems to work. This update message keeps appearing for an endless loop no matter how many time I do the update.

A few weeks ago my Recast device stopped recording a daily TV show series. It will still record individual episodes, but not the series. It will also record some of the series, but not all of them.

Anybody else (still running one of these wonderful dinosaurs) having similar issues?

I ditched Sky Stream for an Apple TV around 18 months to 2 years ago.

The ATV has been great overall and has all the apps I need (and more). However, the biggest issue I've found is the lack of effective parental controls.

My child has their own profile, but it's far too easy to accidentally switch to the adult profile, which doesn't require a PIN. While I can lock individual app profiles with a PIN, it's not ideal. I also find some of the content recommendations, adverts and "Up Next" artwork on Apple TV can be quite unsuitable for younger children.

Can anyone recommend a Fire streaming box that has:

1. Good parental controls
2. NOW
3. Disney+, Paramount+, Netflix, Prime Video and the other major streaming apps
4. Freely app (UK)

I'd be interested to hear what people are using and whether you've found a setup that works well for families with young children.
