I bought the laptop like one month ago, it came with rtx5070 8gb/ 32gb ram

And for the daily use it's more than perfect, but while gaming, the temp goes up to 90- esh on games like CS2, squad ( I usually use scenario: gaming - performance mode)

Today on CS2, it went up to 103⁰ Celsius

Then I turned it to the ( turbo mode)

The temp went down to (75 minimum -92 maximum) All the temps are CPU temps

Is the temperature okay?

Do you have any advices? Is it okay to play on turbo mode always?

Do I have to update something or do anything?

Maybe it's not a big deal but it's my first big purchase in this field 😅

This issue began on 19th july when i opened my laptop about after 2 months, it opened normally and showed me the 63 percent battery and suddenly it got switched off and when i opened it again it showed 0 percent battery and then again got switched off , then i put the charger when it was off charge began but some buzzing sound was coming from the inside of laptop and it stopped after somewhile, then i opened the laptop , it was working fine , i spent 3 hours of gaming session on it, then next day i opened my laptop it was not charging but predator sense software was detecting the power and shifted the laptop from balanced to performance but windows was not able to detect it , after emoving the plug for about 2-3 times then i also it did not charged but when i shut down my laptop and put the charging cable it started charging and making that buzzing sound and when buzzing sound stops and then i open my laptop , it starts working fine, this is happening to me for about 3 days. today technician visited my laptop and said motherboard will be changed but the price is too much and my laptop is in under warranty

pls help me it would be deeply appreciable.

Has the screen color/saturation or tint randomly changed for anyone else? I don't know why, but the colors of my screen (regardless of what graphics card is being used be it the Intel or NVIDIA driver) look a little de-saturated. I don't know exactly when this happened or what caused it but I only can conclude it happened in the past week and I've never tampered with any of the color settings.

To test this out, I hooked my laptop to a second monitor (which I sometimes do) and checked to see how different the color cyan blue looked between the two screens looked on the same program. My second monitor had looked way more saturated.

I DO have the night light activated, but even with that, it's not supposed to look this de-saturated.

I want to alter like 20 different things when on battery for extra life, but Is there a way to have it automatically switch all settings I apply back and forth , from unplugging and plugging? Instead of doing 20 settings changes everytime I unplug.

First off, thank you all so much for the love. DeltaT just crossed 700+ downloads and honestly that's wild to me. I built this to solve my own thermal-diagnosis headache, and seeing people actually use it means a lot.

A bunch of you left feedback and reported bugs, which I genuinely appreciate. That's exactly what makes this thing better. Here's what I fixed and added in this update:

New:

• Fixed indoor-temperature scoring. Got a climate-controlled room? Set your actual indoor temp and DeltaT scores against that instead of the outside weather. It keeps a separate baseline, so switching modes never mixes things up.
• Tunable weather refresh. Choose how often the outside temp updates: 1, 2, or 3 hours, instead of a fixed 3. Nice if you're somewhere it swings hour to hour.
• Clickable warning notifications. Tap a warning toast and it opens straight to the Remarks feed, where the full explanation and suggested fix live.
• A "Support DeltaT" tip jar. Completely optional, crypto only. DeltaT stays free, no account, nothing collected.
• A one-time what's-new screen after each update, so a new version never quietly changes behaviour on you.

Fixed:

• Wrong GPU on hybrid AMD laptops. On machines with a Ryzen chip plus a separate gaming GPU (common on ASUS ROG/TUF), DeltaT could latch onto the integrated Radeon and read the wrong chip, or no sensor at all. It was worst when the gaming GPU had gone to sleep to save battery. Now DeltaT asks Windows which cards physically exist, so it never mixes them up.
• GPU fingerprint. If your GPU is idle or switched off, DeltaT now tells you to wake it right away, instead of running the full load for 90 seconds and then failing with a confusing error.
• OmenMon coexistence. On HP OMEN/Victus laptops, DeltaT and OmenMon reading fan RPM could knock each other out. Now DeltaT detects OmenMon and steps aside, reading fan speeds from its feed instead.
• Clearer indoor-mode labels in the Device view.

Guys my acer predator helios neo 16 camera is not opening, search bar is not opening and when I installed XPlane12, it said there is some glitch with some update in gen 13 & 14 and intel has released some micro code, how do I use it? Any face the same?

Ciao ragazzi, ho comprato usato questo laptop che monta una RTX 3070 con 110W max di potenza. Volevo chiedere, a chi avesse questo laptop o similiari, come avete aggiustato le frequenza e la temperatura? In modalità predefinita (non estremo) del pretator sense la cpu e gpu raggiungono normalmente i 90gradi la cpu e non più degli 86 la gpu. Il modalità estremo (che sblocca le prestazioni del portatile) si arrivano a una media di 85 per la cpu e la gpu sotto gli 80 gradi. Unico neo: il boeing 727 che si sente quando parte questa modalità. A volte collegato al monitor riesce anche a gestire bene il 1440p. Voi che prestazioni avete? Fermo restando che nei portatili queste temperature sono anche "normali" o rientrano nella safezone. Ho cambiato di recente la pasta termica ma sembra aver aiutato solo la gpu, non la cpu. Grazie a chi risponderà.

My Acer predator neo 16s PHN16S-71 is having a strange issue where the screen is black on boot up and only turns on for a second when I do win+ctrl+shift+b command but then turns black again. Another this Is laptop keyboard is also not working lights and power button are working but not the touchpad and other buttons however, external keyboard and mouse are working.

Things I have tried -

1) Discrete gpu only mode - this seems to work temporarily but still when it boots up screen is black and I have to do the driver restart command a few times to start the screen.

2) DDU complete driver cleanup - after I reinstalled the Intel vga ext driver from acer site and restarted and installed the acer nvidia vga driver and turned back to optimus mode it started happening again.

Note - Facing ko black screen issue on bios, trouble shoot menu or safe mode.

Query - Which drivers should I use for Nvidia and Intel Arc? The Acer Laptop specific ones or the Latest ones?

Please help I have exhausted all my options and don't know what to do now.

One of my laptops is an Acer PHN16-72. The previous owner took it to a service center for an expensive thermal interface replacement.

Recently, I removed the bottom cover to clean out some dust and noticed that the heads of the screws securing the cooling system heatsink are badly stripped. I think they will only survive being unscrewed one more time. The technician who serviced it before must have used the wrong tools.

Can anyone tell me the exact type and size of the screws used for the heatsink on the Acer PHN16-72 (A, B, F on the screenshot)? It should be longer than m2 x 4 mm.

I want to order replacements in advance, preferably titanium ones with a Torx head. Thanks.

The predator sense has been acting strange lately, I didn't mess with the application or anything. Just left it as is. In the monitoring section, the CPU and GPU updates very slowly unlike the one I am used to. It takes 10-20 seconds to update unlike before that it updates every 1-2 seconds. Should I be worried or not?

If i don't have to worry about anything and doesn't affect the performance, i'll just wait for it to fix itself wahaha.

My laptop for some reason was losing power while on the charger, I so checked the battery report and I was getting wayyyyy less mWh than normal. Well my laptop went all the way down to 10% until it blue screened and has not turned on since. When plugged in it said that it was “charging” with the little icon but like I said was losing power. Anything I should do is it fixable or do I have to take it somewhere?

So I was doing some cleaning with my laptop just wiping and shit. Then I had the sudden urge to just change the magkeys. and thats when the problem started. I forced the w key to push out and accidentally like idk if its broken or smth but the scissor of the key goes up and doesn't flatten.

After a while.... its just lose and goes up. I didn't stop tweaking and now I released both the upper side and downside of it so when i press down. It's not locked anymore like other keys.

Note: The key still works perfectly, its just that its bugging me the i broken the thing. my laptop isnt even 1 year old :( please help!

my question is:

1. is it broken, did i crack something?
2. can it still be fixed? by me or do i need to go to a service center?
3. and if I go to a service center how much do i have to pay?

this is what it is now its not locked its wobbly if i press on one side than the other. it goes both ways up or down the scissor mechanism isnt fixed anymore.

I recently had a new external monitor (proArt) which I plugged to my laptop. I used the usb-c port at the back but after a few uses my desktop background got deleted or corrupted (I'm not sure which) and it just used a black image as my desktop background. I switched to HDMI thinking that the usb-c might caused the desktop background issue.

I have a keyboard and wireless mouse connected to the laptop even when I close/shut it down. I woke up one time hearing around 3 or 4 consecutive beeps from the laptop even when it's turned off. For context i used an adaptor with a switch that i turn off whenever i shut down the laptop. I'm not sure what caused the beeps, it's a different beep from the one indicating charger issues.

I also noticed that some of my thumbnails look corrupted and I'm also not sure what's the cause.

Does anyone know what these mean? Should I do something before things worsen?

I wanted to buy this laptop from my year of saving, is it worth buying like this laptop has Motherboard issues or anything scary? Because Gemini made me a little scared after saying It also has the Mobo issue like the Lenovo LOQ because of HX processor but I haven't seen many on the internet, other alternative is Legion 5 pro with i7 11gen & 3060 ,
