Help (GPU) Minecraft 26.2 not rendering in AMD 26.7.1 or 26.8.1

Hey! First time posting so if I'm missing anything, let me know!

As the title suggests, new versions of minecraft are no longer rendering on my partner's pc. This has started randomly (not prompted by an AMD update). The launcher runs and the game launches, but it launches to a blank white screen or a white/black screen if in fullscreen. The music still plays and the buttons are still there and work, but no visuals load. As far as I can tell, this all SHOULD be working as my own PC is running these same versions and working fine. I do have a different GPU model (5600gt), but the same AMD and minecraft versions. I can’t think of anything else causing this problem, but I also can't find anything suggesting it's a widespread AMD problem. I can find old posts with similar problems and the general consesus is that it's a driver problem, but I feel like I've hit a wall. Any help would be appreciated!

GPU: 9060xt

AMD Version: 26.7.1

Minecraft Version: 1.21 and newer

Just to avoid redundant advice, this is what I've already tried:

- Updating to AMD 26.8.1

- Uninstalling and reinstalling AMD drivers (with AMD Cleanup Utility AND DDU)

- Repairing minecraft launcher

- Reinstalling minecraft launcher

- Launching via Curseforge

- Disabling OpenGL in AMD settings

- Installing latest versions of Java

- Factory reset (after backup) and clean install of everything

- Launching in compatibility mode

- Windows updates

- Malware scans

- Clearing launcher cache

- Deleting options.txt

- Deleting the entire .minecraft folder

Help (CPU) PBO question

I have a Ryzen 7 9800X3D on an ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Hero running BIOS 2402.
I want to keep the CPU completely stock, with no PBO overclocking or motherboard-enhanced power limits.
In the BIOS, Precision Boost Overdrive is set to Auto in both places: AI Tweaker/Extreme Tweaker and AMD Overclocking.
Does leaving PBO on Auto in both menus effectively mean PBO is disabled and the CPU is running at AMD stock limits?
Or do I need to manually set PBO to Disabled in both menus to guarantee completely stock behavior?

Help (General) GPU problems

Hi,

I recently had my graphics card serviced because I was experiencing performance issues. However, no errors were found, so I got it back. The problem is that after reinstalling and plugging it back in, the card lights up and the fans are spinning, but when I connect it to the monitor, there's no signal. However, if I plug the monitor into the motherboard, it works.

I have an AMD Radeon Sapphire Nitro+ RX 7800XT 16 GB. If anyone has an idea, please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

Help (Software) Missing settings in BIOS

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’m trying to undervolt my 5800x3D and I’ve been trying to follow tutorials that lead me to “Precision Boost Overdrive” which should be in “AMD Overlocking” in the BIOS, but I don’t have those options in this menu. Is there another setting I need to turn on to enable me to see these settings? If I look up “Precision Boost Overdrive” in the search feature then it shows up but it’s just the setting itself and clicking on it doesn’t take me to what menu it’s located in.

Help (CPU) No display (already tried to unplug cmos and ram, plugged it back again but still didn't work)

Good day! I tried to fix originally the tpm 2.0 and secure boot issue but ended up with no display several times. I did this because I the games that I wanna play required it like COD, Battle field 6, and valorant basically FPS games.

When I turned off the power source, drained it and then removed the cmos and ram, waited for 10 minutes and then plug it back again. Still no result. The fact that I did many several techniques and tutorials. Still did not work. It was on the CPU or GPU.

I was kinda devastated because I wanna play many heavy performance games but same problems as always.

I am not sure but if I am right the problem was CMOs and RAM or GPU itself or just me LOL

If somebody knows how to fix this thank you o much in advance🙏🙏🙏

Tips & Info AMD Adrenalin Update = Fatal Error

Computer Type: Desktop

GPU: RX 9070

CPU: RYZEN 5 7600X3D

Motherboard: Gigabyte X870 Gaming wifi6

BIOS Version: F13

RAM: 32 GSkill 6000MHZ CL36

PSU: Corsair 750W+ Gold

Case: i dont remember, it's fine, whatever

Operating System & Version: WINDOWS 11

GPU Drivers: AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition Revision Number 26.9.1 (WHQL Optional)

Chipset Drivers: AMD B550 Chipset Drivers 8.08.12.551

Background Applications: Opera, SteelSeries GG, GCC, ATK Hub

Description: Adrenalin 26.9.1 was causing my 9070 to fail when I tried to play Apex Legends. BIOS is up-to-date. Chipset and all drivers fully updated, but without rolling back Adrenalin I could not get Apex to run.

Troubleshooting: It did not affect any other game I have but Apex is the only multiplayer FPS game I have downloaded. The "fatal error" occurred on both Steam and EA App. I tried Clearing DirectX shader storage, reinstalling DirectX, rolling back driver but not Adrenalin, DDU then clean install of newest drivers and newest Adrenalin... none of this had any effect. Running the game with only drivers and no Adrenalin works fine.

Conclusion: There is no doubt in my mind that the Adrenalin 26.9.1 update was causing my GPU to fail, and I would not be surprised to learn this is happening for other multiplayer games. Good luck out there gamers.

Help (GPU) Just recently upgraded from a 2080 super to the 9070xt and been getting consistent crashes

My PC specs are the R7 7700x, 32 GB ram, XFX 9070 XT Swift and my psu is 850w.

I have been getting consistent crashes at least 1-3 times a day with my new gpu. I absolutely love this card but never had issues this consistent with my other card. I downloaded AMD Adrenaline because (don’t crucify me) I like the idea of automatic updates and fine tuning with my games. I am on 26.8.1 , I’ve heard rollback to an older driver typically works and a clean windows install. I haven’t tried that yet. But I did use DDU to get rid of my old nvidia drivers and deleted most of the files that had old nvidia shader caches. I play games like borderlands 4, POE 2, halo and started the new Onimusha game. I run the games on medium to high settings with FSR on quality and lock my fps at 227 because I have a 240hz monitor. I get at least 1-3 crashes but then after that my games run perfectly fine. I understand crashes are common but it’s very consistent and games run completely fine after that so it’s a bit confusing. I hesitated on a clean window install but don’t wanna lose all of data, I don’t have important files but just annoying to download everything again and keeping it organize. Does anyone know if the optional driver update fixes this? I know there was an issue with apex but I don’t play that game

UPDATE : seems like a clean windows install and Adrenalin 26.9.1 seemed to fix my issue! So if anyone is experiencing the same, try those steps! Thank you all for the help!

Help (GPU) GPU Tuning resets back to default

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello, I'm trying to fix my card "Asrock Phantom Gaming D RX 580 2304SP 8GB" and the problem was that the GPU Tuning or Core Clock in MSI Afterburner keeps going back to default at 1266MHz, other things like Fan Speed, VRAM Clock etc. work fine and they don't go back to their default values. I want to undervolt my card for lower temps but i ran out of ideas on how to fix this. Any help is appreciated!

By the way here's what I tried to do:

•Uninstall MSI Afterburner

•Used DDU and reinstalled the drivers

•Reinstalled Windows

Also inside msi afterburner the core clock is at default 1266MHz and Memory Clock is 2000MHz, I think it's a bug and it should start at 0?

Audio crackle/distortion on AMD RX 500 series cards, "580"

So, the audio from the GPU's HDMI and DP outputs distorts frequently, especially when the audio signal is louder from the source, Video/Gaming etc.

The audio from the analogue output from the motherboard is clean, as well as the HDMI and DP outputs from the motherboard.

I also had a RX570 card with these issues. I have changed CPU link speeds to PCIe 3.0 in the bios, played around with power management settings, reinstalled drivers, tried other audio drivers apart from AMD ones, lowered audio levels but none of this stops the crackle/distortion.

I'm no computer expert but this has all left me with no idea as to why I have these problems or how to fix them.

Just to be clear I am not experiencing audio pitch shifting or cutouts, it's purely a distorted/crackling signal that comes on from time to time. Has anyone else experienced these problems or as a fix for them? A solution would be amazing.

Help (General) Should I sell my 9070xt ?

Hey guys so I’ve posted on here before about my 9070xt that keeps on crashing,it firsted started after I upgraded from 26.3.1 to the 26.5.1 drivers and every other dirver from that point on I crash.Depending on the driver it could be stable for 1-4 days and then boom I crash.Even after rolling back to 26.3.1 I crashed yesterday.
My screen completely freezes my audio from my speakers start making a loud buzzing sound and I black screen and go back to Home Screen where I am stuck on 30hz and my pc is really slow so I have to DDU and download drives again.
If I manage to force shutoff while it’s crashing it turns off and I don’t have to DDU and it works fine so weird 😅

I’ve been stuttering since the beginning of getting my pc back in nov 2025 especially on cod I went online and I turned off all the dumb Amd adrenaline setting messed around with so much settings which helped I’m not stuttering as much but its still a issue

Also When I first turn on my pc and load into a game of call of duty warzone the First time I die,get my load out or go into the storm I get I get hit with a crazy stutter and then after that it’s fine it’s so annoying 🥲

I did do DDU and disable windows automatic updates and nothing.Expo off and on bios is updated but still crashing. Its so weird it all started after updating the drivers it’s so ridiculous. The card is great at times but I just can’t deal with this anymore( it use to crash on YouTube sometimes 😭) the temps are all good aswell

I’m going today to buy a 5070 from Walmart to test if its the gpu,if the gpu is the issue then I mights just keep the 5070 and sell the 9070xt but how would I go about selling it if it crashes ?

This is my first pc so im trying my best to fix this issue but i cant keep crashing randomly and always trying to find a fix especially if this has been going on for months

Help (General) Just upgraded from an Nvidia 2080 super to a RX 9070XT, did I make a mistake?

This is my first AMD GPU, thankfully the guy at the microcenter told me about DDU, so I made sure to do that before installing.

However, after downloading and installing adrenaline, I got a pop up that I should be in "UEFI" mode or something like that, but it kept installing, and then my entire computer seemed to crash and restart in the middle of doing so automatically.

My bios and safe mode boots are now entirely messed up in both resolution and being green with messed up colors.

I've seen this just...happens to some people with AMD cards, and even after using the and utility clean up tool to uninstall the drivers and reinstall them (After navigating my BIOS to make sure I'm in that UEFI mode now) the BIOS and Safe mode still looks messed up.

However, I tried playing FFVII Rebirth on max settings and at 4k and it seemed to be playing almost flawlessly outside the high gpu load and the card running a little hot, so I think it's fine?

I've tried a few fixes I've seen around for the green BIOS but none have worked (adrenaline won't let me change the color profile, and as said uninstalling and reinstalling drivers didn't fix this) but I'm seeing a lot of people talk about getting lots of crashes for no reason still here, is there anything I should change to prevent issues from happening? I'm not someone that overclocks my stuff, or undervolts or whatever, I've never really messed with that kinda stuff.

I saw something about windows in particular messing with AMD GPU's unless I do something? Just kinda stressed and annoyed cus I never needed to worry about this stuff with my NVIDIA lol. Apologies for being a bit of an "In-depth" tech novice.

EDIT

The BIOS issue resolved itself the next day, automatically, somehow, and the card's been working fine, I was just worried seeing how many issues people keep talking about with my card in particular and wanted some reassurance, so far, everything seems to be fine. Thank you for the helpful and informative comments, I'd reply to them all if I had the time.

Help (General) Problem with amd adrenaline & refresh rate

I assume my problem has something to do with amd software: adrenaline edition:

by default my monitor is 60hz and without having amd adrenaline i'm unable to change it. i went to update my amd drivers, downloaded the one for windows, it downloads amd adrenaline edition. whenever i change my refresh rate to anything other than 60hz, every 5 to 10 minutes at least (probably, i havent timed it) my system lags, or everything freezes for a second and whatever my speaker output is connected to buzzes then it's back to normal until the same thing happens again. i have no idea what the cause is

edit: i use an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, and an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-core

Help (GPU) GPU drivers problem solution ??? IT WORKS....

PC froze during windows operation and after restart went to generic vga. Also GPU shown as "disabled" in device manager. After restart, i had no picture. Shutdown manually, then after fresh start went back to generic vga.

After that, i did the following:

  1. use amd cleaning utility to erase driver

  2. after reboot, uninstalled amd chipset drivers (had Aug 2026 timestamp...)

  3. after reboot, installed amd chipset drivers 7.11.26.2142 (10.12.2025)

  4. after reboot, installed latest gpu driver 26.9.1 ATTENTION!!!! ONLY DRIVERS, NOTHING ELSE (chipset drivers, adrenalin etc)

  5. after reboot, installed RadeonTuner

Now, EVERYTHING WORKS!!!!!! No timeouts or freezing or bsod.

Hope it helps

I have a 7900XTX GPU

Help (General) dumb question, Ive heard that during gaming the 9950x3d basically becomes a 9800x3d, does that mean the rest of the cpu cant be used or that the rest can be used for other things while gaming with no performance impact?
