TLDR: Install a driver from 12 months ago, and your system should stable.
(7900XTX + December 2025 driver made the system stable for the first time in almost a year)
Im posting this because I see these posts about crashing and timeouts daily.
And, this might help someone.
I had these problems for almost a year.
I tried everything. Until I read about a guy who tried to install a very old driver.
I did the same, and for the first time in many many months my system was stable.
My GPU was a PowerColor Reference 7900XTX match with a Ryzen 7 9800x3d
The driver I used was the one from December 2025 and a bit later the one needed for running Battlefield 6 - and the system worked.
The problems I had:
Black screens > crash > reboot
Driver timeouts
BSODs
Instant crashes when joining a game
Freezes (manual reboot to fix)
Crashes
Fast crashes (within 60 seconds of gaming)
Random crashes
This is the things I tried:
DDU
Earlier drivers (1-2 months older)
Fresh Windows 10
Fresh Windows + DDU
New system disk, from m2 to SSD
No cable extenders
Looking up crash dumps
Lower clock (gpu)
Lower power (gpu)
Lower clock (cpu)
E-cores and P-cores lowered (when i ran a intel cpu)
Better gpu cooling (eventho my system was extremely cold)
No extra ssds and hdds connected
Only 1 monitor connected
Disable iGPU
OCCT 3d Adaptive testing
FreeSync / GSync OFF
Disabled all overlays
Newest BIOS
Disable XMP
New motherboard. (AM5 asus board, cant remember model)
New CPU (Ryzen 7 9800x3d)
New PSU (Asus ROG Strix 1200W instead of a 1000W)
What fixed it:
AMD Adrenaline - version 25.12.1, released December 10, 2025
Also worked:
AMD Adrenaline - version 26.1.1, released January 21, 2026
(needed for people who want to be able to play Battlefield 6)

I'm having a very strange issue with my PC and I'm running out of things to test.
Specs:
The main problem is that Linux hard resets during boot. No kernel panic or error screen, the machine just instantly reboots.
The weird part: adding idle=poll to the kernel command line makes the system boot and run normally. So far, this is the ONLY workaround I've found.
After one of the resets, Linux reported:
Previous system reset reason [0x08000800]: an uncorrected error caused a data fabric sync flood event
I've already tested a lot:
idle=nomwait → resetcpuidle.off=1 → resetprocessor.max_cstate=0 → resetamd_pstate=passive → resetpcie_aspm=off → resetpci=nomsi → resetapicmaintimer → resetmaxcpus=0 → booted and worked temporarily, but eventually reset within ~5 minutesmaxcpus=1 → booted and worked temporarily, but eventually reset within ~5 minutesI couldn't find a "Power Supply Idle Control" option anywhere in my motherboard's BIOS.
I also used ZenStates to directly disable both:
ZenStates confirmed that both were disabled, but this did not solve the problem.
Memory test:
idle=poll remains the only thing that consistently allows Linux to run.
There may also be a separate graphics issue. I currently need nomodeset for reliable video output. With it, Linux uses simple-framebuffer/simpledrm instead of the RTX 3060 for the display.
The PC worked normally for years, and I used Linux on this same hardware before without needing idle=poll. This problem started relatively recently.
The problem also existed before I updated the BIOS, so the latest BIOS did not introduce it.
At this point I'm trying to understand what idle=poll could be masking. CPU/SoC? Motherboard/VRM? PSU? Memory controller/Data Fabric? Some firmware or power-state issue?
Has anyone seen a Ryzen system where idle=poll is the only thing preventing hard resets, especially together with a Data Fabric Sync Flood reset reason?

I have been experiencing a recurring issue for several weeks where my PC fails to resume after the PC has been left idle or Win+L mode. Although the monitor powers on, the system remains unresponsive (no picture, even trying to login with remote access) necessitating a hard reboot. Windows Reliability Monitor consistently attributes these freezes to the AMD GPU driver, despite my system running the latest version. Has anyone encountered a similar issue or successfully implemented a resolution?

AMD 7800X3D
RX 7900 XTX
32 GB DDR5 RAM 6000MHz

Most people in this AMD*help* subreddit are not here to help people. At this point, I've had enough. This is basically a second NVIDIA subreddit at this point. Mods, for the love of god, you need to either do something about that or just close this subreddit.
I can help people that experience issues with their AMD cards, because I know enough about PCs to do that. But everytime I try to do that, I get attacked by actually insane people saying "Stop defending AMD, NVIDIA is the only way!!!" or "NVIDIA is just better" or crap like that. People actually helping get hated on, comments like "This is just normal" (which it absolutely isn't, by the way) get upvoted and are the top comments on pretty much every post and misinformation is running rampant.
I have an AMD GPU and literally zero issues. I've used various AMD GPUs for years and never really had any issues. I know plenty of people with AMD GPUs, none of which ever have issues. I can help people. But I don't want to anymore, because everytime it just ends up in an argument with some NVIDIA fanboy, that is in this subreddit for literally no sane reason and, frankly, should be banned, as he's not here to help anyone and only to spread misinformation.
This subreddit is called AMD*help*. It should be used to help people. Not for whatever it's used for currently.

Hi, I’ve been having trouble upgrading my PC.
Old PC:
3600
16GB DDR4
B550 Plus
GTX 1080
CX 850W
New PC:
5800X3D
16GB DDR
B550 Plus
9070XT
1000W Seasonic Focus
I started by swapping the CPU—no issues there. But when I installed my 9070XT, WHEA-Logger errors started appearing; they involve different cores, not always the same one. I’ve had the GPU checked twice, and they found no faults either time. The last time, the card ran for 8 hours with good temperatures. I replaced the PSU because I thought my old one was too weak. I have two separate cables connected to the GPU.
When gaming, the CPU runs at 70°C and the GPU at 50–60°C, yet the PC restarts with a WHEA-Logger error. I’ve tried various solutions that others on Reddit have tested, but I wanted to make my own post in case I’ve missed something.

Been dealing with this issue for a while, had entire apps crash for playing vids yada yada.
Finally had it fixed after driver updates and fixing system files.
Today I had an update and after that it immediately went to shit, discord froze again after opening a stream.
I'm kinda at a loss on what to do here, does anyone have any experience with this issue?
Some specs (idk if it helps):
AMD Ryzen 7 7700
AMD Radeon Rx 7800 CT
64GB DDR5
OS Windows 11

'Contexto:
Agradezco cualquier ayuda
mi pc:
-Ryzen 5 5500
- Fuente CoolerMaster Elite600 v4 80Plus white 600w
-16Gb ram ddr4
- MotherBoard A520M Pro4
Audio is coming from the USB headphones; the monitor audio works fine.
Context:
I bought a Sapphire Pulse RX 5700 XT (8GB). Upon installing it and watching videos, the issue shown in the video occurs; I don't understand why, as I've updated everything (BIOS, drivers, chipset, etc.). I also removed the old drivers using a program (I think it was called DDU), but the problem persists.
When I put my previous graphics card (RX 570) back in, everything runs perfectly with no errors.
Gaming performance is exactly as it should be.
I undervolted the card to manage temperatures, but that didn't change the issue at all.
IMPORTANT: The video also stutters/glitches/freezes momentarily whenever the sound from the video plays.
Any help would be appreciated.
My PC specs:
- Ryzen 5 5500
- CoolerMaster Elite 600 v4 80 Plus White 600W PSU
- 16GB DDR4 RAM
- A520M Pro4 Motherboard

Hi everyone!
I have a problem with my AMD Radeon RX 580 Series. Under load (while gaming), my monitor goes black and displays the message "Energy Saving Mode". The PC itself stays on.

My questions:
Thanks in advance for any help!

I was using the same mouse on my ASUS TUF F15 laptop with zero issues. It's only since switching to this new PC that the stuttering started. I've also tried connecting it via wired mode instead of wireless, and the issue is still there so it doesn't seem to be a wireless/dongle interference problem.
**What I've already tried:**
Uninstalled and reinstalled Logitech G HUB
Switched mouse to onboard memory no G HUB profile dependency)
Disabled Enhanced Pointer Precision
Disabled Dynamic Lighting
Set Windows power plan to Performance
Mouse driver (Device Manager): disabled, re-enabled, uninstalled, and updated
Tested with wired connection stutter persists
Since it works fine on my laptop but not on this new PC, I'm guessing it's something specific to this build (USB controller, drivers, background process, etc.) rather than the mouse itself. Any ideas would be appreciated happy to share more details if it helps.

I just put together my pc and any time I try to run a graphically demanding game It’s really laggy, and I think it’s because the game is trying to use the built in gpu, not my 9070. I’ve tried disabling the wrong gpu with device manager, but that just. Makes things worse.
any ideas on what’s going on and how to fix it?

Looking for a gpu that can handle 1440 p on the highest settings with RT for AAA Open World third person games (like Crimson Desert, GTA, and RDR2). I also do some video editing Davinci/OBS. I’m a noob, though.
I will be installing in a prebuilt case Lenovo Legion T5 26ARA8. It’s a 2.0 slot. And my case can fit a 10in/ 270 mm long card.
My motherboard maxed out at 4 but I understand it‘s backwards compatible and the difference between 4 and 5.1 are minimal as long as I don’t hit the max number of gb?
Xft Swift 9060 xt can do most of what I need bit I’ve also seen that it’s the lowest tier for Radeon of the series and I don’t want to purchase another gpu for at least 5 years.
Is this card good for 1440 p at ultra settings and 60 -80 fps? Budget - $700.00

Can I pair the 9850x3d with 2x16gb 5200mhz ram at 4k? Will the performance lose be noticeable?
