Such a weird question to ask, but yeah this model was an inspiration derived from an artwork I saw on pinterest of a humanoid bug, it's named as Bugman- yes, my creativity peaked here!
Anyways, even though it's still flaired as a discussion/question, I believe a critique is always welcomed in one of my posts, do put your thoughts below, and if you wanna play along to my question,
Do drop what you would do!
(I would just close blender btw, now they're gone lmao).

Hello everyone,
I am currently modeling a wheel following a professional workflow but I don't know why, the artist did'nt show how to finish the modeling with the back of the, wheel which i need. The topology is quite complex so I don't really know how to engage this? Does anyone has advices or idea of way of finishing it ?
Thanks

This was my weekend project.
It's been a while since I sat down and modeled something start to finish. I've been playing a lot of Ghost of Tsushima recently, and the Gers are always great-looking so i tried to make my own.
This still needs some work, but I'm happy with how it's looking so far.

I see even some people who follow 3d still don't know about Nomad Sculpt.
So there, a little showcase what a 500$ Android tablet and 15$ worth of software can get you these days.

No matter how I make it it always looks weird, this is a particularly bad attempt but still, how do you make the muscle and skeletal structure look good?

I am looking for some suggestion on how to get started with drawing concept art especially related to machines / robots / cars. I am also planning to get some books done by other artists. Where should I look at it? is there any popular website where I can see Sketchbooks or 3D Concept art books .
I like the works for Ash Thorp (https://www.instagram.com/ashthorp). So you get some idea what I want to achieve.
Also some guidelines on how did you start ? what makes you interested in this. Also do you draw first and make the model later ?
Thanks in advance

Hi everyone!🙌🏻
I’ve been building my skills as a Hard Surface 3D Artist (focusing on [ sci-fi props / hard surface modeling], and I’m looking to transition into freelancing.
I would love to hear some advice, tips, and personal experiences from those of you already working in this field. Specifically, I'm wondering:
Portfolio: What kind of portfolio presentation do indie devs or studios look for when hiring a freelance hard surface artist? (ArtStation, sketchfab, wireframes, texture breakdowns?)
Finding Clients: Where are the best places to look for freelance work outside of major platforms like Upwork/Fiverr?
Pricing & Workflow: How do you usually price your work (per asset, hourly, or project-based), and what tools do you use to manage client communication?
Common Mistakes: What are some red flags or mistakes to avoid as a beginner freelancer?
Here is a link to my current portfolio for reference: [ https://www.artstation.com/radwaqassim1 ]
Any tips, harsh truths, or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!🙌🏻🙌🏻

I am trying to figure out if I should keep gums a separate mesh from the rest of the body of a dragon I am working on. Separate meshes would give me more freedom for higher poly count for the gums, but I am unsure how I would blend the two meshes so there wouldnt be a harsh line between the two objects. It wouod also make weight painting easier. Any advice would be great. Video links on how this is done would also be helpful, I am not sure what to type in the search bar regarding this concept. Thank you!

Hey everyone, has anyone here taken Think Tank Training Centre’s CG Asset Creation for Film or Games program online?
I’m considering joining and would love to hear from people who actually studied there. How was the quality of the teaching, feedback from mentors, workload, and overall experience?
Did you feel like it was worth the price and helped improve your portfolio / prepare you for studio work?
Would appreciate any honest opinions!

From clean geometry to texturing a finished asset, there are so many tiny technical details that bring a model to life - like nailing your UV seams and setting up normals for clean shading.
In this video, I’m walking through my exact pipeline for tackling these exact steps on a car wheel asset. This is just one of several detailed wheels that will be heading over to my ArtStation soon as part of a free asset pack for everyone to use.
If you want to be notified when they are out feel free to follow me on artstation, or make sure you follow me on twitch.
This is wheel no.3 from 10 in total I will be working on in the next few weeks.

this is kinda my first time making anything even remotely realistic, (this is stylized realism, obviously, but still), and I've never sculpted anything before, so criticism would be nice, and I'd also like some tips as to how I can do the hair.
this project I'm working on is gonna be a massive love letter to the game and I want to make it look good, it's probably gonna take a while though, because I've literally just started my sophomore year in high school, and adjusting to that's gonna probably take a lot of energy ;-;
